Hi there! Love the Beverly Hillbillies reference. You had me laughing at that one. Thanks for the wear test for the Guerlain foundation. I love the packaging but not enough to spend sixty dollars. I absolutely love the eyeshadow! I also received the palette in my Ipsy box and that is one of my go to palettes for fall. The packaging is wonderful! Fall makeup is so rich and I cannot get enough. Your whole look is very pretty! I wanted to check in with you on Curology. I've used mine twice and oh boy -- I have some drying and flaking in my chin and smile lines. Also, I bought Tati's neutrals palette and used it for the first time today and -- holy moly, its amazing and I think you would love it. I hope you plan to do a video on it as I would love to see what eye looks you come up with!!!
I ordered the Tati palette for the second round of restocks - so it's not here yet but it should be soon!! I ramped up really quickly to doing the Curology every night, and I have no peeling at all (but they've got me on the lowest possible tretinoin, and I was throwing some peeling-level retinols at my skin before I started Curology). So I'm going to do this level for another few weeks and then message my provider to see if she thinks I should bump up the tretinoin. I'm starting week 4 now. I'll have a photo update coming in a couple weeks.
An extra swatch time? Yes please! I always marvel at your (and Taylor Wynn's) swatches - they look like they could be for 5 different people 😅
It's so wild how inconsistent companies are, because I buy mostly for my winter shade (which is like 10 months out of the year) and then a few here and there in my summer shade, all of which are in the fair end of the spectrum - but as you said, the swatches are all over the place!
Your gorgeous eye look changed my mind about the Nomad palette. I was going to give it away, but now I think I'll play with it instead!
I am loving it!!! I was definitely dismissing it just looking at it but the shades are gorgeous upon application.
Seems like the higher end cosmetic companies put so much fragrance in their products.....looked nice at first, but didn't hold up well...your eye look is stunning!

Hello ! I really like your foundation revue. I have just tried the new Clarins Everlasting Youth Foundation. I recommend it for mature skin. Very nice finish.

Wow, a midweek foundation fix, woohoo! Awwww, how cute, you've got friendly neighbourhood deer. Well, this foundation is so not in my budget ($89 here), but damn, that bottle is so cute, love the undertone (and it didn't oxidise), and the finish was lovely (at least for half day/6hr-ish wear).
I'm definitely keeping it as a night-out or filming foundation, and the bottle is just lovely. Whew this one is smell-able longer than any foundation I've ever had. I could smell it all the way to the end of finishing my makeup like a half hour later.
That foundation bottle is very unique. It's sad to see that the lasting power is not what they claim. I loved, loved, LOVED the deer in your backyard! I was whispering along with you! Hahaha!

That foundation did end up looking beautiful though especially since it didn’t look darker outside, more like you didn’t have anything on actually!

I hate that high-end cosmetic companies add so much fragrance to products, plus for the price of this it should do more than it did in my opinion.
Also, I was just at Walgreen's and saw that Revlon has launched a "glow" version of the Candid Foundation! I would love to know if it is just as good or better than the original?
Wanted to come back and say that you can also apply with your fingers but sponge is my favorite application. Paddle brushes are pretty too though. Since Guerlain is a fragrance house, everything is scented. I usually avoid scented products since I have chronic migraines, but this scent doesn’t seem to bother me. I really appreciate you reviewing a few more higher end brands. Looking forward to Surat

Hi I thought this foundation looked very nice on application and looked good at the five hour check in. This is obviously the palest colour in a cool tone and I'm paler than yourself, so it will be too dark on me. I don't mind messing with white/pink and/or blue mixers for a cheap foundation, but if I buy high end I want it to match. All guerlain makeup is highly fragranced - they're a perfume house with a makeup range. Their packaging is always really well done and their products all look high end. I may get a sample to try as I liked the finish so I'll see how much mixing I have to do. Tbh I never wear foundation etc for more than 8 hours as I'm disabled and only work part time. I don't need it to be really long wear. Best wishes.

First, THAT DEER!!! So beautiful!!!!! OK, the foundation looked really pretty on you, but at that price point it should last longer. No pretty bottle is going to fix it. Loved the eye shadow palette. Very good colors on you.
lori engelmann can’t come close to my CYO lifeproof... sad they have discontinued that foundation. I purchased 5 bottles so it will last me a while! I swear, fragrance needs to see its way out of the high end foundations! Why? Just Why!?
@@MzClementine I never got to try the CYO before it was d/ced. I know it was very good though. I totally agree about fragrance. I can tolerate a bit, but mostly they just trigger my allergies. Teary eyes and sneezing is soooooo attractive.

For your deer (hubs is an ethical hunter) go to your local Tractor Supply type store and getcha some corn. Sprinkle it around from time to time and you may see deer all year long. And in the spring maybe you’ll see mamas and babies.
How is this compared to the Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation? I have a love-hate relationship with my Dior SG, so now looking for something else. And I've been watching your other foundation review as well (by Terry) hope you reply or anyone who has tried some radiant/luminous/hydrating foundation for dry skin (and sensitive)

I like the Dior a bit better. It is more hydrating on me and doesn't have as much settling into lines, but those are 2 things that can vary so if you're not as dry as me or don't have issues with lines they're otherwise quite similar. I do love the By Terry as well.

Hmm. I didn't want you to like it because I don't really want to pay the $75 price tag. But an A- is a good rating. I'm a wee bit concerned about the wear time. But it did look nice. On the bright side, I totally forgot about my Dior Skin Glow until you did the swatches, so now I know what foundation I am going to wear tomorrow. Yay for shopping stash which I forgot about. Thanks for the video as always. I was jealous of how light it was at 6:00 and then realized this was before the time change, so it's probably darker now at 6. Happy November!
Oh this time change is killing me!! LOL don't worry - the next few foundation videos have me checking in with barely any daylight left because I keep forgetting it gets dark early now! 😂

Just a question, are you sure you have a cold undertone? When showing swatches your veins looked undeniably green. Wow, the deer was not afraid at all. We have had a mom and two kids in our garden this autumn too. It’s amazing to see them so close.
Hi Lilly! I'm technically neutral, leaning very slightly cool in the winter and very slightly warm if I have any sun (which I try not to ever have, but it seems unavoidable that I'm a half shade to a shade darker in the summer, despite sunscreen). The veins on the underside of my arms show green and the closer to my wrist and top of my hands are purple. I prefer how cool undertones look on me than neutrals, but I do use both.
I especially enjoyed that your mom gave her opinion & the visit from the deer! 😊 I really liked how it looked on you, I am tempted to try it.

It may not be a long lasting foundation and really expensive but it makes your skin look beautiful (hydrated, youthful and smooth). Perhaps it’s an ‘evening out’ type of foundation.

This one bunched up in my forehead lines like on your chin almost immediately. I think it’s just too drying and makeupy looking for my skin
I typically avoid Guerlain products because the strong scent of violets has irritated my sensitive skin in the past but their Terracotta Light Radiance Bronzer doesn't. Shade 00 Light Cool is the only bronzer that doesn't look fake or muddy on my vampire like skin.
I keep hearing good things about the Guerlain bronzer!

It figures that this foundation had such a strong fragrance as the bottle reminded me of perfume, not makeup. Bummer on the short wear time. :-/
helpfulnatural seems like the high end foundations all have lasting power. Lamer is quite nice... but I have yet to find a high end match that foundation.
@@MzClementine Actually, in the last year I've tried 4 different high end foundations and none of them had lasting power. In fact, they all began breaking up after just 3 or 4 hours. I'll stick with my drugstore faves.

Love your little deer. In the summer, a mama deer and her 2 babies adopted me. They came every day, and of course, I fed them. It was cool watching the babies grow from tiny spotted cuties, to almost full size. I still leave out food, but until 3 days ago, it's been weeks since I've seen them. When they did come, it was just the babies. I keep hoping that they will all return. Nature at its finest. ❤🦌🦌🦌
They are SO cute and they come through here pretty much every day. I'm curious how often I'll see them in the winter, since this will be my first winter here.

I’m trying to resolve the cruelty-free thing with the product being made in China...?!! Has China finally stopped animal testing??!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼.
This past April China did start allowing non-animal testing for certain things, but it's all so complicated. :-/ I think the laws also vary for online versus in-store sales, as well as for products exported from China versus sold there.
It looked pretty on you but the breakdown is disappointing for that price.

Ugh fragrance kills my sensitive skin and migraines, why do high end companies do this
I really don't get it. This one was smell-able for the longest I've ever been able to smell makeup on my face, and like I said - my nose is not at all sensitive. Oy. When I filmed the swatches and then washed that off my arm I left the room and came back and could still smell the scent hanging in the air.
That much fragrance would drive my nose and skin crazy. :(

The makeup did start out lovely, but I noticed that weird chin bunch right away back at the vanity. What the heck?! Seems way too spendy for foundation that doesn’t meet its claims of wear or clean your bathrooms.
There are SO many neighborhood cats outside! I wish they were all inside cats :( Oy those signs... the property owner of the land my back yard backs up to has those yellow no tresspassing signs up marking the property line. It's like... dude. I don't want to go into your woods anyway. They're ugly signs :(
