The part about killing the medic being a Geneva Convention violation is a load of bollocks. The medic brandishes a red cross which is a protected symbol which essentially means "don't shoot me, I'm here to save people". The Geneva Convention clearly states if someone is wearing a red cross on a battlefield then they are NOT allowed to participate in combat unless in self defence. Making the medic a violation of the Geneva Convention, not the other way around.
I'm also pretty sure the Geneva Convention doesn't actually apply to either the MPDC or the PAYDAY Gang, neither of which being wartime combatants. They'd just be criminals lmao

The thing that saves it from being a breaking of the Geneva convention is the fact that the medics color pattern of the red cross has the red inverted with the white, making it a white cross instead of a red one.

You forgot to mention the awakening of the Cthulu in the lore segment. The lore of this game is so insanely convoluted, its like walking through a maze blindfolded with both of your legs broken.
The lore was made by literally one overkill employee who pulled all of it out of his ass and made chronological story.

One time I came across an incredible redditor who unironically claimed that payday 2's lore being a convoluted mess haphazardly taped together was actually a good thing, and that the plot holes, retcons and inconsistencies were a fun puzzle for the fans to piece together.

The safehouse upgrades are actually required to get the secret ending bit, and that includes Scarface's room. So while Scarface isn't canon anymore [he was added as a tie in to a remake that got canned, and the DLC is no longer for sale], his piano specifically is. I hate licensing and IP rights.
Not to mention you are required to play mankind's oldest known melody in order to advance the plot.
The other reason to upgrade the Safehouse is that fully upgrading Wick's room is required for newer players to get an achievement.
Well, you can still enjoy the mansion heist.

Payday 2 is an absolutely buggy and broken mess of a game. It’s enemies are stupid as shit, most of the weapons are shit, it was literally built on a game engine made for racing games and has way too much DLC to boot.

Poor HR management + constant rotation of developers coming and leaving + no vision and no artistic direction under the guidance of the director, and so you get a kitsch mess like PD2. They literally fired the art director around 2014 who previously worked on Battlefield 3 because "lol we don't need him telling us what to do and what not to do like a dad".

Appreciate the shoutout! Honestly love the medic units, they add an extra layer to combat encounters - an additional step of "do I need to change targets first?" that has the same appeal as shields. Snipers are definitely trash tho.
Imo the only way to not die immedietaly with snipers is to go with Stoic, otherwise I have the wonderful wombo combo of a sniper removing all my armor and a out of nowhere bulldozer shooting me down

I think they’re fine. I mean, the first three difficulties are named appropriately, Overkill is where you need to start using overkill to survive, Mayhem is where things get chaotic, death wish is for when you want to die, and death sentence is a prophecy, namely that you’re going to die.
Death Sentence One Down is just a phrase that fills me with both dread and defiance though.
It might be a meme for some but I enjoy when a reviewer talks about the OST. It’s part of the game and a bad or non existent OST (RE2 Remake) can really drag a game down. The opposite is also true, a banging OST can make the game lit.
Payday 2 OST is like 50% of the game. I listen to it regularly.

I agree with RE2 Remake, I thought it was a dumb decision to replace most of the iconic tracks from the original game with… no music at all. Very odd decision. At least it’s fixable with that one DLC (ugh) that has the original soundtrack.
One compliment I will give RE3 Remake was that the soundtrack for that game was MUCH more faithful to the original and the OST was absolutely fantastic because of it

My own personal way to customization is to slowly flick through skins, textures and outfits until i eventually do a small chuckle. When Chuckle is achieved, i save what i've made and come back to it the next day and run the loadout on a heist with mates. It's usually much funnier to me then and we poke fun at it until something clicks and suddenly the item is now an inside joke for the next year

If anyone has doubts about this game's soundtrack, listen to Pimped Out Getaway it's literally a Christmas song that doesn't make you want to scream when you hear it.
The gage packages is picking up drops for the cripple not the other way around. Also people forget that payday 2 used to be more difficult and realistic, more like l4d in trying to survive but they added perk decks and then had to make the game buttfucking insane to keep the challenge. Thats why the early heists were moving coke and robbing stores before going to steal the ark of the covenant.

I've been playing this game since December 2013, when I was a teenager and honestly, couldn't have asked for a better game to take up my time. Everything about the game felt so good. Remember Masterforcer? Techforcer?
I still go back and teach some new folk to play the game but other than that, Payday 2 is a wonderful semi-broken game. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Alright, I had a blast watching the video and to be honest, Payday 2 is really a Love & Hate relatiionship. I have +10K hours on this game and usually doing stupid shit on Loud.
I agree a lot about the points of this game but there is a few points I wanted to share:
- first and foremost: Sociopath & Ex-President > Anarchist ♥(Joke ofc but I do enjoy more Socio than Anarchist theses days)
- As a anarchist player, you have to give extra care to snipers, knowing wehre sniper spawn is good, but when is the second missing part. Usually Bain will tell you sniper are there but not on all maps (Panic room being the good exemple).
- Ah the people ask stealth when you have setup the game on Loud and it's a LOUD ONLY heist, what a JOY !
- THE SOUNDTRACK IS ABSOLUTELY BANGERS Inferno Showdown is my fav of all time
- The Lore... is funny and actually cool. Digging into when they created it (Thanks to Clockwork) was an amazing time and I would do it again !
Hardcore Henry is a far more worthy movie of a video rather than anything Uwe Boll has made.

The lore was really something to experience. You really did have to be there for it, because the developers had less of a clue where it was going than the players did. All the ARG stuff was awesome.

Many years ago I played both Payday and Payday 2 with a friend of mine within a short amount of time of each other. While I played a lot of both and I enjoyed many of the addition PD2 added looking back on it many years later I think I enjoyed Payday 1 more. I liked the simplicity of it.
Haven't played either since those days though.

i just discovered your channel and im loving the content. the way you edit and write your script is incredibly entertaining while still being high quality. however, my enjoyment quickly soured as you regailed the origin story for the medic. for context, i do not find the medic mechanically challenging. they're easy to take out with a single headshot, and their special ability of healing their teammates never seemed consequential. sure, its annoying that i have to dump another magazine into the bulldozer's head, but that's ammo that i can easily get back. no, my hatred stems from the medic's voicelines. everytime i hear them spout one of their "witty" remarks, i feel a fire grow within me. im literally a notorious criminal with military-grade weaponry and you're gonna talk shit? seriously? i cant tolerate that. never will. if i could travel back in time to prevent the medic's creation, i would.

I don't care for this game, BUT... This is the first time I've learned about the Scarface character, and that it's voiced by Andre Sogliuzzo, the guy who did his voice for the old Scarface game. I love that game, and hearing him reprise the role really makes me happier than it should.

I've played PD2 for a long time, and am even a bit embarrassed by the amount of hours i've put in it.
Despite all its flaws, it was a lovely game, but the shitshow around it was what made me quit the game. (crimefest, safes and their drills-wich were just gambling). I played daily, spend a lot of the time on the forums and tried to be a helpful player for most of the time. I got burned out after a PTS. I gave so much feedback about the sentries since I loved those little fellows. My main critique was that it was simply to easy to lockdown a map (AP sentries + low ammo weapons like GL made ammo replenishment to easy -it gave a whole new definition to spawncamping). They were OP as fck, and made going loud the same stealth, but instead of waiting on a drill, I just waited on my sentries to run dry, shoot once / twice and refill. But, on a podcast from the developers I was refered to as "a player who doesn't won't other to have fun".
But again, thank you for the video. I did had a lot of fun with PD2.

@@MadWatcher I kept track of PD2 and was relieved once the gambling was removed. Played it a few times after but it wasn't the same.
It's embarrassment, not regret. I had a good time while playing with friends, it's just I could have spend a few hours less in the game and a few more hours irl.

as a payday 2 player, i always say: “i hate games with only 20% of the actual game released, and the rest of the content sold through dlc” but then proceed to love the shit out of payday 2
payday 2 is almost a decade old so it is fine for it to have a lot of dlc
Payday 2 is a weird one in this case because you don’t actually need the dlc to do everything, only one person needs to host a lobby with it.
I need to tell this story
One time me and my friends were playing a normal game on bank and we were about to start drilling.
Then my friends got seen so we ended up killing everyone in the bank and anyone else who walked by.
We ended up getting all the cash from the vault and going on our way.
So from this I conclude that me and my friends are really good at stealth.

Howdy, we played quite a few heists together between 2016-2020. Nice video, you're truly a great heister. I loved pd2, it's a shame that my pc can't run it since the updates in 2020.
PAYDAY 2 lost the magic for me when I finally bought a PC that can run it over 60fps. I missed it when I could only play at 15fps. PAYDAY 2 in a nutshell for me. Having 300 hours at 15fps was an experience.
You could just lock the FPS to 15
