8:43 when I saw this part I was expecting a joke about the uncensored of the GTA2 short movie but alas. Basically Claude grabs a UPS truck, and after kicking out the black driver, he decides to spit on him. There was speculation if this was racially motivated. They later removed it. IIRC the truck was carrying captured Buddhists in the back, which were Claude's friends so that would explain it though.
I take pride in my ability to cycle through multiple targets in fisticuffs mode, and even land a strike on multiple opponents with a single counter animation. Basically it's a skill issue
Me when this game came out: "Haha GTA 4 is funny and you can run over people and ragdoll on a glitchy swingset." Me now, 12 years later: "GTA 4 tells a tragic story of the Bosnian War of 1992-1995, the illusion of the American Dream, and how life in the criminal underworld can leave you heartbroken without family and friends." I actually wish my parents had stopped me from playing some 18+ games when I was younger. Because many games back then had amazing storylines that I was too young, uneducated and immature to fully appreciate.

I just love this game. Yes, it's probably because of nostalgia, as it is the first GTA game I had, but somehow the whole story really grabbed my attention. I'm really obsessed with the 2000s and this game perfectly conveys the feel in my opinion. There's simply something in the game that gave me such a strong emotional connection to it that I cannot even describe it. I just love it, but it's like a sad kind of love, or idk, it's really hard to explain it. For some reason I feel like I'm so intertwined with certain characters in the game, even tho they are fictional (I tend to do this a lot for some reason, when a book or maybe a movie, in this case, a game, has a good story that really grabs me I really get sad that the characters aren't real and stuff) so yea maybe it is because of my weirdness, but this game will always have a special place in my heart.
"This is not how cars work" Maybe it's not 100% realistic, but it's so much better than any other GTA car physics. Best game car physics to utilize with a keyboard of it's time, and still holds up so good only dedicated racing/simulation games might have better ones. Car physics were a dealbreaker with GTA 5 for me, I just can't drive in that game, every car feels mostly the same and grips WAAAYYY too much, feels like driving on traintracks, even GTA SA did it better than 5
@@Skrenja Try to corner a street at 80 Kmph and see the traction that a car gets. I know GTA 4 is not even remotely a realistic simulation of car physics, but atleast it tries. GTA V makes it too arcady. Momentum has a meaning.
Idk, 4's car physics make some missions quite a chore, through at least the npcs in races are just as bad as you are, racing end up being much easier than regular drives because the npcs just crash in their first curve lol
Still one of my favourite games ever. Is so gritty and cruel. In one mission you’re even sent to kill another gangster. And you get to choose if you kill him or spare his life. I miss being 13 and having endless time to fuck around in this game, the world is amazing with all those sky scrappers and amazing lights. Actually difficult shootouts and chases. It was a blast.
You may be unable to "yeet" the bowling ball, because your surface isn't even enough. If the game senses that your mouse is moving irratically, it won't work. And for the game to think that the movement is irradical, there only needs to be like a bread crumb on your desk.

12:18: Based on how you played this mission, you do not understand how to play GTA 4 at all. You wait for the lawyer to get up while he continues talking. You pull up your revolver and aim at him, which triggers some optional dialogue. He backs upto the window, which is when you shoot him. Then you jump out the window to your car waiting outside. Most of the people playing GTA 4 post 5, don’t realize how accessible the world here really is, and the different ways you can complete every mission. Fun fact: this lawyer is based on the real life lawyer who has tried to sue Rockstar multiple times in the past. All of his lines in this mission is stuff the real guy has used himself.
That sarcasm regarding Rockstar games launcher is so spot on. I am trying to play RDR2 for an entire day now and can't because of how embarrassing this piece of **** software is.

Was playing Lost and Damned. Hailed a taxi. Taxi fuckin swerves into the curb and almost hit a pedestrian. I get into taxi. Skipped ahead after this comment....was not disappointed
Bro... at 6:40 , damn that brings back memories.... Kitty0706 rest in peace, Nice to see your still subbed to him
For those who got to experience this game online during its heyday, you know how truly awesome the GTA4 experience was.
I take pride in my ability to cycle through multiple targets in fisticuffs mode, and even land a strike on multiple opponents with a single counter animation. Basically it's a skill issue
facts.
The underground cage fighting in tbogt were a lot of fun too
me with being able to do wrong side of the tracks first time and the mission where you get drugs from abandoned hospital in gta 4
Me when this game came out: "Haha GTA 4 is funny and you can run over people and ragdoll on a glitchy swingset."
Me now, 12 years later: "GTA 4 tells a tragic story of the Bosnian War of 1992-1995, the illusion of the American Dream, and how life in the criminal underworld can leave you heartbroken without family and friends."
I actually wish my parents had stopped me from playing some 18+ games when I was younger. Because many games back then had amazing storylines that I was too young, uneducated and immature to fully appreciate.
Sometimes that age rating shouldn't be there just becasue there's violence, blood, and sex. Sometimes it should be there to tell you: "You'll understand when you're older".

HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED TO ME?!
@@scottmemelord6130 what happened to me? You dissagree? Is it illegal to disagree? Am i going to jail?
2008 had suspiciously detailed videogames, that's what im always telling
12:10 alright, for some reason, this shit was WAY funnier than it should have been
14:49 has to be my favorite cutscene of this game, Niko's obsession and anger was perfectly portrayed by Michael Hollick
1:18 that caught me off guard 💀💀💀
Romanian playthrough yeah good name not mad at all
**Internal screaming but in Romanian**
Opening with a Jerma reference is legendary.
Best GTA without question. Best gunplay, best driving, best story, everything about it is perfect
I was pretty young when gta iv released and that clip of the alleyway baseball bat with the hotdog stand man immediately triggered a burst of memories as I did literally exactly that once finding it and seeing how crazy the rag dolls and physics were for the time as gta iv was really new at the time.
Me: *nodding in approval at the mention of the Jazz station*
4:53 oh UA-cam is going to hate this
$2000 is very generous for an apartment in nyc
“Guns don’t seem that controlled…I’ve seen plenty and I JUST got here.”
7:11 i never got the joke about irish car bombs. Ive played it numerous times and never realized
It has something to do with IRA and that upper Irish land controlled by British(northern ireland).
IRA is considered as terrorist organization.
Specifically their most famous attack was in 1998 when they put bomb inside car in Omagh.
So this is that joke about irish guy setting bombs in cars.
The Fact that this videos length is 20:08, the exact year of GTA IV, either is or is not a coincidence

Niko is the friggin man
who else can smash thru a window, fly halfway across a map, hit a building head first and brush it off?
5:44 That may be true but nothing will ever top Pedestrians in GTA III jumping in front of my car to commit suicide while I drive down the road at top speed
For some reason I feel like I'm so intertwined with certain characters in the game, even tho they are fictional (I tend to do this a lot for some reason, when a book or maybe a movie, in this case, a game, has a good story that really grabs me I really get sad that the characters aren't real and stuff) so yea maybe it is because of my weirdness, but this game will always have a special place in my heart.
moral for the game:- never go for bowling instead start playing darts
Yeah, playing bowling with a mouse is pretty painful
Starting to realize why people think 4 is so much better than 5, but they are both great.
As an Irish man, I approve this message 7:11
I'd really say surpassing the errors of rockstar launcher is enough to award someone completion achievement in the game
"This is not how cars work" Maybe it's not 100% realistic, but it's so much better than any other GTA car physics. Best game car physics to utilize with a keyboard of it's time, and still holds up so good only dedicated racing/simulation games might have better ones.
Car physics were a dealbreaker with GTA 5 for me, I just can't drive in that game, every car feels mostly the same and grips WAAAYYY too much, feels like driving on traintracks, even GTA SA did it better than 5
GTA 4's driving physics aren't anywhere near realistic.
@@Skrenja It's the best one among GTA games. And it's the only one where car mass can actually be felt
@@marrvynswillames4975 Car driving parts are good. Bikes tho......... Those are real pain. And my "allergy" to them doesn't help, I hate bikes so much
Still one of my favourite games ever.
I still can’t believe how u managed to explain almost everything about gta IV in 20 minutes Amazing work
Never in the many times I’ve played this game I realized that Packie had so much in common with the IRA
You may be unable to "yeet" the bowling ball, because your surface isn't even enough. If the game senses that your mouse is moving irratically, it won't work. And for the game to think that the movement is irradical, there only needs to be like a bread crumb on your desk.
Great video as always and great classic sterma clip at the start
Funny garry mod man
Thank you for covering this masterpiece. I have a personal attachment to this game and over the years, this game has grown on me. Plus, listening to Liberty Rock Radio feels different.
I was listening to this video and I knew which Jerma clip that was in the beginning without looking. That bike tire headshot never gets old.
Why is it funny to me that old games have more realistic details compare to modern games?
3:58 Fist fight....
Yakuza theme song hits
Yakuza fans when they see a street fight: "HOLY SHIT THIS IS JUST LIKE THAT TIME KIRYU FIGHTS THE 10 YEARS IN THE JOINT GUY"

Just wanna say black yoshi, part of my uni course I have to talk about ui's and I'm actually doing it on Zombi, based of your video. I've linked your video and I wanna say that video has been nothing but a great help, it's a solid video and it's help me a lot break the game down, as well as I have to suggest improvements in parts of the games Ui(inventory menu etc) it would be a huge help if yourself or anyone else could help, thank you again
13:57 Yoshi Getting Real Professional Be Like:
Whose the fun police over here
Based on how you played this mission, you also do not understand how to play this open world game
Man the memories when hearing the soundtrack alone threw me back.. Very underrated game with a vibe like no other
That sarcasm regarding Rockstar games launcher is so spot on. I am trying to play RDR2 for an entire day now and can't because of how embarrassing this piece of **** software is.
Riddiculus What!? You stuck in THE seventees!?
Its mandatory for every gta game to have shitty mission involving flight, though I think I would take 4s helicopter missions over the vice city ones any day.
My favorite GTA of all time, I love the atmosphere, story, and the whole New York City in 2000s vibes, it is a time capsule, and why it is the 3rd position on the most highest rated video-games of all time, on Metacritic
As a new yorker gta 4 feels amazing. Everyone is miserable even the happy people
Was playing Lost and Damned. Hailed a taxi. Taxi fuckin swerves into the curb and almost hit a pedestrian. I get into taxi. Tell him to take me a few streets away, he steps on the gas and speeds past a police cruiser. Then after getting in a traffic jam. The taxi takes a dirt side road down an alley and throws me out at the end of it. 10/10 would ride again
Go to strip club with biker pals. Get bored and try to take a picture of a stripper. Start a fight with the bouncers. Police arive and a shoot out begins. All three of my pals get shot. I kill most the cops, get outside to my bike and get shot by a sniper in a helicopter.
1:55 proceeds to zoom in the wrong County
This video was so enjoyable. This is really what I needed right now. Thank you for your work on this video.
Despite it being so buggy it's definetly the best GTA titles ever made, lots of details and so and so.
The funniest fact about this game is that at the time it got released (2008) PCs were shitty, with graphic cards having 1 GB VRAM. No PC could handle this game
GTA IV is described as one thing and one thing only... a masterpiece.
Literally in my first playthrough right now, its my favorite GTA right now, great vid!
I would kill to be able to experience this game for the first time again. Cherish this
@@Yea___ Yea same for alot of games, i sadly didnt get to have the full of experience after seeing some spoilers but i still love this so far.
@@KrispyWithAK Ohh these spoilers are NOTHING compared to what the game truly offers as an experience.
My only advice would be that DO NOT try to speedrun through it, and take your time to experience those girlfriend dates and friend activities. They really help in fleshing put the story

"Miss Understood" @ 7:43
That is what all women say when they're caught out for having HIV/AIDS.
Driving in GTA 4 feels like everything is 1/4 its weight, but the gravity is 3 times of ours.
12:55 this one can be sped up by shooting in the sky. The guy gets scared and starts going faster. If you can catch up to him it will pay off and save you 5 minutes of your life.
The weirdest detail I remember from this game is that if you shoot someone in the neck, they'll fall on the ground and their eyes will swivel around until they bleed out.
That and no one wears seatbelts because if you hit someone from the front at 90, they go flying through their windshields.
8:16 Best way to enter club!
It took me 20 minutes to realize that this video is about GTA 4 instead of NY.
As someone who is into sim driving I believe GTA 4 has the best vehicle handling and physics out of any GTA game.
fr easily the most realistic!
