@Space Vatnik *sighs* fuck!
the best Zombie game ever made for The Wii U
The fact that when you die you switch bodies with someone else and have to kill your previous character is absolutely amazing and sounds so cool.
Project Zomboid also does that, too. But hey, that's still hella cool.
State of Decay 2 does that as well. Sometimes your corpse just wanders off with all your gear though and you either never get it back or they show up way later. It leads to panic dropping shit on the ground when you know you're absolutely fucked sometimes.
Let It Die also does this
Yo thanks for the game suggestions y’all
@@KoalazDank0420 np. I think it *is* a cool concept and so I wanted to share another game that had done it
I love how when you're about to die, sometimes your character will nervously laugh, it's pretty scary
Yeah, it's weirdly very detailed and has a lot of character for a ubisoft game. Kind of get the impression this was a kind of passion project for some of the dev team.
Also when they smash the zombie's head in

Straight up like the different survivors all have a different mental fortitude, like the officers and soldiers are mentally tough but when you are that first survivor who is basically us is freaking out like a mad man!

I like how this game has a incredible story. You're an American visiting Britan and the inhabitants keep saying things like "Innit" and "Gov'na" or "Crikey" and get angry when you don't understand their garbled nonsense. Luckily being an american you have access to a large variety of firearms. Masterpiece of a game and thanks for doing it justice in your video.

Funnily enough the only thing I consider unrealistic about this game is that you have access to firearms while in the U.K. at all. Honestly, getting firearms in this game is actually easier then getting firearms in Project Zomboid (a brutal zombie survival game with similar unforgiving mechanics) which is odd because that game takes place in Kentucky where firearms are far more common.
I literally got this game for free with xbox gold, played it once, and never touched it again. not cause its boring. but because it scares the hell outta me. i have never been more terrified in a zombie apocalypse game in my entire life.
Try this with headphones.... More scary
not because they are living corpses, but because they are british

@@unkn0wn223 Yeah I played through the full game to that point, saw the zombie daycare with the screams of the children who were eaten and like noped out.
I love how in the game's lore London and its society collapsed in one week, to the point where most of the people were dead or infected. And the PM completely ignored the infection at first. Britain, I guess.

ZombiU is like one of the few zombie horror game where you can feel your character is actually tried their best struggle to keep alive, you can hear your character roaring and frustration with each hits against zombies with your weapons to remind you that your character is just a regular civilian, the mechanic of lockpicking doors and the camera switch behind to your character's view to see a potential nearby zombies slowly heading towards you is a perfect execution and I'm surprised that there's no any other games in the same genre does this. The atmosphere of the game is damn perfect, it set the tone and mood of the outbreak apocalypse in London and it's how other zombie survival horror game should have been.
The game legit got me murdering every zombie I could afford to kill not out of power fantasy but because I never felt I could really consider myself safe to manage my inventory while there was hissing and groaning about

@@StateOfTheMind11225 probably also the fact that most buildings in London are still there from the Medieval era
I can't be the only one wishing we had a Switch sequel. I still go back and play this game a lot. Hell, I actually enjoy going back and discovering new glitches. My only massive complaint is that you don't get to fight the queen at the end.
me and the queen fighting | ZOMBIU part-10
that's because da queen is immune to everything, even zombie viruses
pretty sure prepper said she escaped to india
It's Ubishit in the present day. If they were to make a sequel of this game, it would either be another bland Ubisoft RPG formula game or it would be an egregious live service disaster with NFT's.
James that boss fight would be impossible cause the queen cant die.
I actually always liked in Ubisoft games the glitch where enemies talk one last time before finally being dead on the ground.
Almost feels like that last "up yours" from the enemy even though it's a glitch.
Especially when their head is literally just a neck stump
2:49 When I got to this part, I couldn't help but laugh due to how cursed this short cutaway was.
Seriously, why does the kid on the left look both old and young at the same time? He looks like he's about to head off to the pub after school is over 🤣
What Leigh Park does to a mf
I'm pretty sure one of those two is in prison, I don't remember where I heard it so it is a case of "source: dude trust me"
I played through this on the WiiU and it was definitely the best game I played through on the system. I died once incredibly early and then kept this huge black dude alive all the way up through to the end. I was devastated when I woke up as a little Asian girl went and put my boi outta his misery only to literally climb a ladder and the game end. Haha. I like to imagine he was clearing the way for the rest of his people to make it through. Rest in Power last true King of London.
I'd say it was him saying "I can't go back to a normal life. Not after what I've seen. What I've done. Others deserve a chance at freedom. I will remain among the dead, for I am their reaper."
Also if you plan on revisiting the game any sooner id reccomend you doing a Gun only run the game is very resourceful with ammo and using stomps and pushing to your advantage is crucial
No melee? Goddamn, I only did a no automatic weapons run (Including the autoshotgun)
Looks like a normal life in the UK to me
Interesting little bit of British trivia, my guys. The guy who voices the Prepper is the same guy who plays (or rather, played) Johnny in Coronation Street.
Plus he voiced Djikstra in Witcher 3.
The best way to play this imo is on a WiiU, in the dark, on Iron Man (survivor) mode and sleep deprived if you can. The zombies are a threat enough but when your decision making goes to the dogs and you're fighting not only the zombies, but your own body just to stay alive for just a minute longer. That's true immersion right there.
not interested in garfield tbh
Oh. Someone played this nightmare of a game too? I say nightmare cause no matter how underrated this game was, it still is an experience. You can feel your character is tired and vulnerable, not to mention the stress I had to go through of trying NOT to get ambushed
As one of the 5 people who still have a WiiU, I can say this game is one of my favorites. From the fight you have with the preschool guardian to King Boris arena music, I just love it. This video is underrated, liked and subbed.
i played this game on the ps4. i didnt experience many bugs, if not any. i actually really liked the ballence of horror and action and it pushed me towards getting a platnum trophy, with by far the hardest trophy to get is to finish the game on survival mode (hardest mode without dying). i actualy would like to see a sequel to this game.
My only criticism would probably be those fucking explosive zombies, that are one hit kills to all but the toughest bastards. In a game where you mostly have to depend on melee, why have an enemy that explodes on contact?
Im glad you covered this game its a complete blast and ive played wii u and the ports love the video man
3:45, suddenly become pyrocynical
Dude your editing KILLED ME - THAT Ubisoft Rip was Insane! Keep those up, soo funny and epic!
I've played this on ps4. Works fine on that system, thankfully.
You have just awakened some very very deep memories from within my depths with that video at 8:44 I'm starting to remember the insane amount of irl cod zombies videos I watched way back when
What was it called
I have literally forgotten that era in my adolescent life where I loved Call of Duty zombies... despite the fact I didn't have a Call of duty game with zombies and I had to go to my friend's house to play, which happened once every blue moon.
I literally just reinstalled this since I only played it for a little bit on PC.
Then you make a video on it, a pleasant surprise.
I luckily have less of the bugs but yeah the PC port is a bit buggy.
I do wish we got that sequel though, just make the Prepper Pad be like the Map in Far Cry 2 where you phyiscally pull it out to look at it instead of the too-large mini-map we ended up with on the non-WiiU versions, I do agree Modern Ubisoft would probably butcher it though.
I remember this game. Thank you for reminding me that it exists. It’s definitely a unique zombie game because of the controls, and premise. It’s too bad that nobody played it. Luckily mods can fix the game’s issues, and add in new content.
I am one of the 5 humans alive who still has a WiiU. I also made the terrible mistake of getting Star Fox Zero. Absolutely terrible game. It’s a mediocre retread of 64 (which was a remake of 1). When people say it has the worst control scheme ever they aren’t making that up. It is truly awful. Sadly Nintendo killed Star Fox with their own incompetence. Luckily I know of a few fan games that hopefully won’t get stomped.
Do you think you’ll talk about the Halo games now that they’re on Steam, and getting official modding tools? Or probably not?
Great video. I love how you replicated the Sethtzeench formula.
What a coincidence that 2 out of the 5 of us watch this channel.
I'm the third :D
Got the console from one of my dad's friend, with the Zombi U included! :D
I haven’t found any mods for this game, where did you find them?
@LégendaireNic I was just saying in general that mods could make small tweaks to the game to fix different things. I’m unfortunately unaware of any mods since I’ve only played the WiiU version. Sorry if me saying mods could fix the game sent you on a wild goose chase for something that isn’t there.
It was a fun/cool game with various issues.
This has inspired me to make some more zombie-themed Gmod artwork. Thank you Black Yoshi
With how good this game looks and feels I'm utterly confused about how it fucking managed to slip under my radar for so long 💀
The multiplayer on Wiiu was awesome. There was a survivor v. Zombi master mode, the master used the game pad to spawn zombis while player two played in first person
Just came across this video in my recommendations, you are the funniest UA-camr I’ve found, subbed!!!!
I love this game, it really didn't get the attention it deserved and it's just classic survival horror in a great setting and it made zombies feel genuinely scary and threatening, which isn't something alot of zombie media actually manages to do. Also when i played it on PS4 i didn't have any peformance issues or bugs genuinely.
Unmentioned, the Wii U version has local multiplayer where one person uses the Wii U gamepad to spawn zombies like Zombie Master while the other one plays with any other controller type while he survives the hordes sent.
I found out zombies will never pounce if you're at full health, which is neat!
5:23 You can shoot them in the head and they won't explode. Cricket bat makes them explode for some reason.
5:47 I feel like this game would really benefit from a Randomizer mod like Resident Evil 2 on the N64 had, or all the mods. The punk could turn any area into a tense event
8:24 I think the gun was like 1 point less damage than the pump-action which is 10, and it's not semiautomatic? Hell yeah. Why don't you like it? Because there's about 30 shotgun shells in one playthrough?
If Hardcore mode was implemented a bit better, they could have shuffled around enemy placement and made the punk more common in areas where large congregations of zombies are present. But then I suppose you'd have to improve the stealth a little bit as well.
Is it just me or does black yoshi sound exactly like pyrocynical lol
similar editing as well, theyre v good
Damn I played this game waaay back in the day and completely forgot of its existence until this video resurfaced. Thanks Yosh
At the part where u cut to Chris Redfield hitting a rock at the end of RE 7 I was wheezing xD
Damn great to see someone who actually played this game. I really liked it up the free ps4 version I had isn’t a thing anymore.
Best thing about this game is Captain Price teaching you how to survive a zombie apocalypse
I remember playing this on the WiiU as a kid and getting to the final level, where you need to get on a helicopter. I managed to keep my character alive the whole game, which was extremely difficult, so when the chopper came, all I had to do was jump in, and all my hard work would pay off.
Unfortunately, when I tried to "jump" onto the helicopter, I just fell off the roof and died. Apparently, after they say "hop on" they land, and then you walk over to it. I vowed to never play ZombieU again, though I remember it was fun... up until that point at the end.
11:58
🤣 why didn't I think about that?
My brother has played this game so much and we never thought about this🤣
Mate your my new favourite UA-camr now🤣
This game was my jam as a kid, very Bonk heavy game, 10/10
I got this game on Xbox One free with gold several years ago. Fantastic game, absolutely terrifying. Though I have to disagree about the firearms, I think the system is good as is, because of the permadeath system. You lose one gun, not the end of the world because you have a backup to use.
Nostalgia hits hard, great video!
Wow, good taste in games AND used CoF ost, subscribed man, you're awesome.
I'm one of the few people that had this for my Wii U.
It was quite an experience at the time. I made it to the end but I never got to actually complete it because my right anolog stick started to drift, so I was afraid to start the last mission in fear of dying at the end.
8:55 I don't mind universal ammo types in video games covering every member of different weapon classes, but it feels weird to see the SA80 ranked above an AK because I'd normally assume the only advantage the former had over the latter is that you aren't going to find all that much 5.45x39 in Great Britain.
Anyhoo, first video of yours I've seen, and you've got a good voice along with engaging use of editing, and I like the detail you go into for a game that I don't think I've thought of for almost a decade, but remembered being pretty neat. If the rest of your content is anything like this, it's an easy subscribe.
It's especially weird seeing the SA80 an actual functioning weapon. That looks like the A1 to me, and jesus christ how did the MOD think that gun was a good choice
Because of this review I bought this game, having a blast with it, also the crash was fixed in November 2021, thank goodness
Damn this brings back memories. A friend of mine had the WiiU and i loved Robbaz's playthrough
I think ZombiU is a underrated gem
This game really is a masterpiece, I wanna see a sequel simular to the original gameplay. This really is the best zombie game ever to me. And I definitely like the wiiu version, I have both ports, pc, wiiu, playstation.
I never understood why the zombies' teeth stay the same before and after infection until I remembered the game takes place in England.
I don't have enough words to express how fucking happy this video makes me.
I got a Wii U and this game when I was little (I asked for it so no, i didn't get a shit present ) and always loved it, but absolutely no one ever talked about it aside from some mentions here and there.
So thank you mate, for shining some light into this forgotten gem of a game and reminding me of the great and haunting times I had with it
I kinda like that permanent death stuff. I hope more games implement that stuff.
This game does have its flaws but I enjoy it. The game doesn’t rely heavily on jumpscares unlike most survival horror games (not bashing such games as FNAF or anything) but the ambiance is what makes ZombiU feel so unique including the awesome zombie types that you meet along the way
Legit no other game has kept me on edge for such long periods of time. I'm always just worried about that one corpse, that one corner, that one dark patch.
@@ntfoperative9432 I was pretty much the same the first time around but it still catches me off guard every now and again.
Roughly 3-4min in and I have to say you did a great job on this video. Awesome edits and I like the humor, honestly I can't tell if you like the game or not but am wanting to join the club. Great video 👍
I love that outro so much lol
The SA 80 is actually GOOD?!
Despite the amount of shit this game gets I found it to be probably the most realistic and scary zombie game to date in terms of a level esc game
Edit: After playing it a little more this game haunted me as a middle schooler and shit still haunts me to this day. The almost complete lack of music, you knowing only 2 zombies is enough, fear of losing stuff, and the noise compiles to be completely fucking horrifying
You know you are getting old when the first 20 seconds hit the nostalgia hard.
Fun fact: did you know that originally there was going to be a horror spin off of raving rabbids called killer freaks from outer space, but unfortunately I didn’t work out, so it got reworked into this game.
Most of the trash weapons were added in the ported versions. The extra melee weapons in particular.
Seeing the minimap on the main screen makes me a sad puppy - you're MEANT to be scooting your eyes up and down to follow your radar pings and potentially walking blind into a sleeping zombie you just woke up.
No multiplayer, either! Definitely get ZombiU over Zombi if you can.
as a British person this game is a British Masterpiece!
aside from the PC port.
on console it works ok.
I played LEGO City: Undercover on the WiiU, but we got rid of the console before I finished the game cause I was a little incompetent child. But years later I got it on the PS4 as a joke and completed it. It was truly a touching moment.

i still remember the first time i shat my pants with this game, i was in the kindergarden part where those electric zombies start coming out and you need to kill them all to use the scaner to open a door,
i was using it after killing all the zombies and i was pretty chill since i cleaned te zone, then suddendly i got a screamer and i almost scream in panic
the screamer was programed so when you get near the zombie body this one jumps and screams at you, i was over the zombie body with the scan mode on
i left the game for a while since then
