I watch all of your videos. I love them. You are so real, so honest and just a great person. I tried this trick last night and I didn’t believe it would work because it’s so simple!!!! I live in North Carolina, USA... I tried this last night and my hair has zero frizz and lots of curl and volume!! Thanks for sharing your techniques! (And thanks to Laura as well!! Genius!)
Love the detailed explanations and showing us exactly how much product to use; I’m sure you’ve explained your techniques hundreds of times but so appreciated for those who are new to the channel. And love seeing support between women! As someone who has been straightening for years and wanting to wear my hair curly again, this was great. Thank-you!
Wow your hair looks great! In the black community it’s called a “wash n go”. The only difference is the method of application. Nice to see the same technique works for other hair types.❤️
This is beautiful! i agree maybe lighter products for your hair type. I don't mind a little frizz here and there, it seriously just happens and doesn't have to be bad thing. Curly hair isn't meant to be perfect or exactly the same everyday. But I like the polished look. People talk about straightening their hair for special occasions. WHY would you do that when you can do this instead?!
Totally - I've been flat-iron free for 2 months now (I still do my fringe) and I don't ever want to use one again, ever. I feel far more beautiful, confident and FREE with my natural curly girl hair.
I love the “squish!” Just had this randomly pop up on what happens to be one of the frizziest hair days of my life. Thanks for posting this, it inspired me to not give in to the flat iron yet again. I’m planning on getting my own squish happening and see if I can coax the curls out.
Thank you for providing a well-designed video demonstrating how to get beautiful, frizz-free hair. As my hair grows out from a really bad chop-job I'll see if this method works for me. I have very frizzy, eastern-European curly hair. I'd love to see less frizz and more curl.
This is great, I use a smaller version (my hair is a little bit shorter than yours Susie) and it works great for me! Thanks to you and especially Laura for making videos and helping out your fellow curl friends 😁
A white girl with super curly hair ... I cried when I was young. No one understood me. It was torture with a mom who wanted my hair straight. Thank you.
This is my third week into this curly hair method, I'm from Argentina and here there isn't much information nor "hairdresser education" about curly hair, I hope to reach some of your results!!! Your videos are great!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! 😘😘😘
I’ve been binge watching your videos and they’ve given me so much inspiration to get my healthy curls/waves back! I never knew what my hair texture was until I cut all my hair off (it was super long and damaged so I just cut it right up by my chin) and my hair was like, reborn? My curls were crazy!! Curls everywhere and because I’d never had my natural texture out before I didn’t know how to look after it or what products to use to get the best curl pattern. I then grew my hair out and bleached it loads and damaged it with heat products and used sulphate shampoos (I know, I know) but tomorrow it’s time for my big chop! I’m cutting off about 5 inches of dead ends from left over bleach damage, switching to the curly girl method. I’m so excited to embrace my curls and bring them back to life! I was thinking of documenting the journey but I don’t know if anyone would care about it. Either way, I can’t wait and thank you for creating content like this because I wouldn’t know what to do otherwise!
Hey Tiana!! Thank you so much for commenting. You should 100% document it. I’d watch :) I shot a lot of my videos with Just an IPhone. Just make sure you tripod or hold your phone horizontally just in case you end up making a video ❤️
omg hey Susie! Thank you for getting back to me and thank you for being so kind! Maybe I'll give this youtube thing a go- I'll let you know :) Best wishes xoxo
Tirana , I know you wrote this comment three months ago, just curious if you documented it? I would watch. Curly Susie I subscribed to your channel a few days ago and enjoying your tips and tricks. I had really long hair and cut it off about 9 months ago. Like Tirana I did not know what products to use (had no idea how curly my hair was) I have never bleached or dyed my hair, I very seldom use a hair dryer. My problem is It is hard to break the habit of washing your hair everyday! I am trying to go every 2 days. How do you do touch ups in between days??? I am hearing impaired so i probably missed it in the captions.
Thank you! I did not know why my hair looks crunchy when following steps but you answered it in your last step of scrunching again to “break up the cast.”
OH MY GOSH HOW AM I JUST NOW FINDING YOU??!! THANK YOU SO MUCH! YOUR HAIR IS GORGEOUS AND YOU ARE SUPER EASY TO LISTEN TO, SO CLEAR AND INFORMATIVE I CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH ALL OF YOYR VIDEOS AND TRY WHAT YOU RECOMMEND
Call me psychic but I just started embracing my curly hair and this is the first routine I tried and it worked for me as well without hearing about this. I tried other methods and always go back to this
I am amazed how fantastic this Method is after I just finished styling my hair! I have naturally curly hair and I have never seen my curls so defined without all the greasiness and weighing down lol. I need to take better care of my hair and I feel like i'm at an awesome place to start 😀
So awesome. I've had a love hate relationship with me curls. I wish I had UA-cam growing up. I've been learning so much. I used to get a gel cast in the 90s. I hated it wasn't doing it on purpose. This has changed my life. Thank you for making videos.
I seriously love Laura. Her fb group is amazing too. I even got.one of her "Curly" t-shirts. I was so happy she shared her method in a fb group I was in. It got.me thru the first few months of CG and those are usually the worst but not when using her method. Now I do yours and I agree with not needing to do the Laura methed all the time. I do highly recommend it for newbies.
Will’s cameo is honestly the cutest! I love when he just walked into the bathroom! Plus, great video! I’m going to keep this in mind next wash day but it may not work so well (the diffuser and I do NOT see eye to eye) 🙈
Hey T.H. he is my favourite part of every video. To be honest, I’ll go back to air drying. But I may incorporate a bit of leave in into my routine so it was good to try.
Glad you're video popped up this morning. I live in Houston, Texas and it's always humid. My curls have been looking pretty sad this summer. Off to the store for hair products and coffee. Thanks for the informative video.
Hey Rebecca! This is an older video. Both Laura & I still do this routine sometimes but with much less conditioner. The next day my hair looks crazy .... so I usually just spray it with some water, scrunch in mousse & diffuse
Brava Susie, brava!! I must tell you, the humidity on Long Island, NY is so low today that I actually have no frizz. Also, thanks for sharing this technique and I love the music. Enjoy.
Ohhh my gosh !! Thank you so much for posting this video I tried out this method and my curls have never looked better. The defuser made a huge difference.
Ooh that’s what I use!!! And I use that exact same leave in. Now I do use shea moisture regularly but once a week I use their their African black soap shampoo and it de gunks my scalp or dr. Bronners hemo shampoo in lavender works great to degunk aswell. I use shea moisture hair gel suofflè for my gel. It smells heavenly and stays put.
For a leave in conditioner, I would try Cantu’s Curl Activating Cream! It’s not as thick as some of the Shea Moisture products but provides a decent amount of hold and moisturizes your hair pretty well
I use Cantu curl activating cream and love it. If you use “a lot” it can also create a cast! I put a lot in quotations because I use a lot less than she used of gel. But I rake the product through while I’m still in the shower and it also helps me get rid of any tangles that got left behind. If I still have tangles I keep adding my product until they can easily come out. Then I scrunch some extra product away and plop for a few minutes while I get dress, air dry, and scrunch our the crunch.
So you first co-wash 2. Conditioner 3. Plop your hair 4. Gel 5. Use the diffuser . So you do not wash off the conditioner . Did I get the steps correct ? And do you oil your hair ? Because if the hair is oiled , the co wash wouldn't remove the oil right . So what do we do then ?
5:57 I started laughing when you adding in the "irish jig" sounding music, I can relate, sometimes my hair looks like I should be an Irish dancer with the my hair looks before removing the gel cast.
I tried this routine last night and it was AMAZING! I was even able to sleep with it wet on a standard pillow case and keep diffusing in the morning and still had a great cast! Thank you so much for sharing.
Curly Susie I used the SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Defining Smoothie (only just bought it) and added the red Taft gel after plopping - I think the change of order (gel after plop) made all the difference.
My hair is 2c and I do this with about 4 handfuls of the tresseme botanique conditioner and let it air dry. The cast is amazing and it really makes my wavy hair look the curliest it has ever looked. If you’re thinking about trying it, you have to!! It also makes my hair last so much longer in between wash days. Don’t let the amount of product scare you :)
My hair is just like yours only shorter and platinum but not by choice. The child is adorable! The thing about my hair is that it grows out straight but around the top of my ears it begins to be curly. I let it dry around 65% and then blow dry. It doesn't take much time to straighten but afterwards it gets a bit curly around the bottom. Well, maybe not curly but has some dip or a wave because I twirl it after I'm done drying. I use all Wen products. Chaz made a Bella line that's amazing for curly girls. You don't need all that goop. He made a product, Enhancing and Defining Treatment Creme. I just apply to mids and ends after cleansing and hair is soaking wet. My hair is so soft and shiny and bouncy. Yours looks lovely and NO frizz! Thank you for posting!
Thank you SO much for this video. Your explanations are clear and they really helped me. My hair type has changed so much since I grew up. I used to have very straight and thin hair as a child. Now and for almost 10 years, I fight everyday with my frizz, waves and non-defined curls and I really hate the puffiness of it. It feels like all i'm doing is shutting them down. I think my hair went from 1b to 2a or 2b, which is not a crazy leap but I still take care of it as if it was all straight. I shampoo every 2 days or so, add conditioner that I almost completely rinse off, air dry and brush through once it's dry... I don't think this is for me anymore. I will try scrunching, using tee-shirts and I will get myself some products and a diffuser. Thank you for your input in my wavy hair journey !!
This video was a HUGE game changer for me. I'm after having my hair cut from super long because it was very dry. I use curly girl approved hair products all the time, but I needed moisture. I followed this method using the Shea Moisture leave in conditioner and Kinky Curly gel. OMG! my curls were amazing!!! No need to refresh for at least 3 days! The only thing, I don't need too much product, I looked like Shirley Temple :) I am at the moment testing the right amount for the desired look. Thank you, thank you!
I am a fellow Canadian here and I love your videos. Transitioning to my naturally wavy hair after decades of straightening is definitely taking a long time but I'm not giving up. Do you have a 2nd and 3rd day routine video? I can't find it and would really benefit from seeing it...Thank you in advance.
Video came up in my suggested videos. I was watching and all I could think of is "THIS WOMAN HAS TO BE A MARITIMER". Turns out you are (at least from what I see in your video history)! Hola from a Valley gal and fellow curly girl. ❤️❤️ Thank you so much for sharing your experience with different methods. 😊
Love! Funny, I just started using a leave in yesterday after a lifetime of thinking it was too heavy. (I got good curls/very little friz) but will use more next time. Thx Curly Suzie & Laura!
I always rake my fingers through my hair but I shall try the praying hands to see if that works better! I am not sure if the lack of protein or the raking fingers or just the length of my hair is messing with my curls. I used about the amount of gel that you use but my hair is down to my hips so I guess I need to stop being afraid of product but old habits die hard. I literally made flax seed gel so I wouldnt be afraid of too much product. Thanks for explaining your methods! You and your kiddo are absolutely beautiful!
OMG I’ve been using this everyday thinking it has no protein!!!! Wow, thanks for this comment! And I’ve been clueless as to why my hair is constantly overloaded!! Gosh... :/
I laughed thinking about using this method on my fine oily 2b hair....and then I tried it. OMG! The best my hair has ever looked during my curly girl transition! 😮
This video is fantastic! I seriously can’t wait to try this routine! Funnily enough, I found this video in the giant curly girl group on fb, and while I was watching it, I was trying to place your accent since it’s so familiar sounding. Saw your vacay video, and figured out you’re a Caper! Hello from Halifax, haha! 🤗 Ps. Love all the fiddle music
Hey!! Thanks so so much. I loved the results from this. The diffusing took forever & I normally let my hair air dry ... so I wouldn’t do it every day (I don’t mind a lil frizz) but it’s great if you really wanted your curls to look smooth & flawless
Love the surprise visit of your little one! My favorite part. Back to curls... why should we avoid silicones in product? Not effective? Or unhealthy? I find it works for shine and a small amount goes a long way. ( one example Garnier Fructis anti- frizz serum sleek and shine with micro oils. ) I sometimes use a dab at end of routine or on individual strands with a pin curl, that resist the curl pattern. Thanks for bringing him back at the end for a cameo. :)
I'm am going to try this with like a regular conditioner and leave in. My hair gets so weighed down with all the conditioners. I think it's causing stringy looking hair for me to. 😊 Susie it looks absolutely beautiful. Thank you!!
OMG I'm going to start doing this, my curls have been butchered by years of bleaching and hot iron avoiding my curls. Now I want them back, but they need some love. Thank you for video.
I swear if I put that much product in my head, my hair would be a stucky, greasy matted mess and probably start falling out... that being said this is the EXACT look I want.
Love your co-star! 😍😍 this routine is nearly EXACTLY what I do. I use less leave in, but I have to use some sort of leave in and diffusing really boosts my curls and gives me body. If I air dry my hair looks glued to my head like a helmet for HOURS. Your hair looked like it would have been fine even without the gel. I still think you’d look great with no product too, you have such perfect hair ! Thanks for another great video Susie!
I wanted so badly for this method to work on me, but there is such a thing as TOO much conditioner and it can weigh the curls down. Going to stick to my regular conditioner use in the shower. And my husband is totally excited that your hair is making me consider growing mine past my shoulders again.
Hi Susie, I’m new to your channel and I really love how you use budget friendly products! But girl, get yourself a dryer that actually fits your diffuser! 😉❤️😉
@@dianesamp9102 you put flax seeds in a nylon stocking and boil it for x amount of time..I've never done it before but there are videos on UA-cam showing you how.
Can't wait to try this! My hair is very fine and very wavy. I've used the Deva Curl technique for years, even went to Deva Chan in NYC for haircuts. But I've always struggled with stringiness, especially on 2nd day hair. I've never seen the praying mantis technique but it makes so much sense! I can see now why raking my hair breaks up the curl and makes it look stringy.
Thank you for this video. I wash my hair less these days and between that and getting older, my hair sometimes looks like a tumbleweed. I am down for anything simple and your routine doesn't call for anything I don't already have on hand. Cannot wait to try it.
Hey Lorraine!! I would experiment with different amounts of conditioner. I’ve done it again with approximately 1/2 of the conditioner used in this video & I liked it even more 💜
washing only with water works, heard about coconut oil then rinse.similar.my hair has a hard oriental shaft yet egyptian curls.beware of jealous roomies, they like to put straighteners and perm solution in ur products.
I'm new to CGM after years of straightening and hating my hair (2c/3a, high porosity, medium density). I'm about 2 weeks in and still learning. I will definitely try this. Thanks!
Hi Susie! What about the sleeping routine,? , how you keep your locks by night: free or you have a particular method? Thanks in advice, also for this yseful tutorial :))
Hey! I do several things. I sleep on a silk pillowcase & I put my hair in a loose pony tail on the top of my head with a silk scrunchie. In the morning I just have to dampen my hair & add a bit of product.
I tried this with Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Shampoo and then left in the Suave Keratin Infusion Smoothing Conditioner (probably not CG friendly) and my results have been great! (my sister is also CG and she's been using Suave for years, so I gave it go and I am so happy I did! So easy! Thank you for posting!
Wow...great hair! Mine is thin & straight, I have to curl mine, but it doesn't last. Sometimes just a couple hours, sometimes a couple days! If I ever could have 4 days of good hair I would be thrilled! ; )
Curly Susie yeah, I had the same thoughts. Also the feel of my hair. I thought this is going to feel yuk, like it does when you don't rinse properly. Once dry that was (mostly) gone, still feels a little different but doable.
I don't even plop it either. I tried it and it removes the conditioner. So just use it lightly to scrunch it if dripping. If not, leave it alone. Put the T-shirt over your shoulders and go do your stuff then when less wet diffuse or let it dry naturally in the sun :)
Try Mixed chicks leave -in or better still Kinky Curly Knot Today!! Both I found to be amazing leave -in’s and the Knot Today I also love in the shower to help detangle my hair. Your results were really nice!!! Will have to try the Laura method next wash day. 😉
9melissal Good to know. Thought I had checked, guess I missed that. Luckily it hasn’t harmed my hair. For some reason I can’t explain my hair LOVES it!!! I do TRY to just use cg only stuff, but this must have slipped through my net.
Thank you Susie . . . your videos are helping a lot. I am just at the start of my "Curly Girl" journey. Could you please let me know why some Curly Girls avoid glycerine in their products. I love your accent and could happily listen to you for hours.
Can you cleanse with a sulphate free shampoo instead of cowashing? My hair prefers a shampoo. I love your channel and you have helped me so much with my curls!
Wow!!! I ABSOLUTELY loved this video🙌🏻🙌🏻 I’m only a week into my curls. I got a spiral perm (yes.. I said spiral perm🤣) last Friday. My hair is normally wavy and flat. For health reasons, I simply cannot wash and dry and style it, every single day. Perms have come a long way from the 80’s perms, except for the super gross smell. 😆. I’ve been watching you and a few other women on UA-cam and after trying a few different methods, I did this last night. I did let it air dry for about forty-five minutes and then diffused. Not gonna lie, the crunch (cast) scared me at the end. But, it’s the BEST my hair has looked and I ADORE it. Thank you so very much for your informative tutorials and your kind help. I’m so happy right now. Have s lovely day😊
Hi Faith!! I am so so glad. Now, if you could sleep on it & then spray-refresh it for a day or 2 you’d be all set. It took me a while to find a little routine that worked but I’m all about having easy hair.
Genius!)
Susie’s husband, all day erryday: Where are all my T-shirts??
😅
I resemble that remark
😑😂
You are so adorable. I have never seen someone speak so emphatically about curly hair. The struggle is real.
Love the detailed explanations and showing us exactly how much product to use; I’m sure you’ve explained your techniques hundreds of times but so appreciated for those who are new to the channel. And love seeing support between women! As someone who has been straightening for years and wanting to wear my hair curly again, this was great. Thank-you!

I highly respect this comment.

Girl!!❤❤ I loved the video! Your results were amazing!!😍😍 I should go back and try the routine out again!! Thank you SO much for sharing this!
Hey Laura!! Your hair is insanely beautiful. This was the best routine for Frizz I’ve ever tried. You need to make more videos 💕
Laura Smith what do you do differently now?
I always try to look for your posts in the Facebook group! Your hair is amazing!

I’ve been following your simple routine for a few days and my hair is improving. Still not great, but getting there. Thank you for sharing.❤️
It amazes me that you use that much gel and your hair doesn't crunch when it's dry. But clearly, it works! I'm going to try it. Thanks!
So awesome. I've had a love hate relationship with me curls. I wish I had UA-cam growing up. I've been learning so much. I used to get a gel cast in the 90s. I hated it wasn't doing it on purpose. This has changed my life. Thank you for making videos.

I had to randomly pause at 0:45, and you made the cutest little scrunchy-nose face! This looks gorgeous!
You make this look so easy, I can't wait to try it! I loved when your son came in while you were washing and how he said goodbye... so sweet!
Brava Susie, brava!! I must tell you, the humidity on Long Island, NY is so low today that I actually have no frizz. Also, thanks for sharing this technique and I love the music. Enjoy.
Thank you. This is the ultimate frizz fighter routine. That Laura is a smart cookie.
Ohhh my gosh !! Thank you so much for posting this video I tried out this method and my curls have never looked better. The defuser made a huge difference.
I love the volume you have on your hair, my roots are very flat. Your roots are GORGEOUS😍😍😍😍
Ooh that’s what I use!!! And I use that exact same leave in. Now I do use shea moisture regularly but once a week I use their their African black soap shampoo and it de gunks my scalp or dr. Awww your baby is adorable!
Thank you so much!! I love him 💙💙💙
I melt when he comes up.
Really sweet little boy!
Wow absolutely a game changer! Your hair looks beautiful
For a leave in conditioner, I would try Cantu’s Curl Activating Cream! It’s not as thick as some of the Shea Moisture products but provides a decent amount of hold and moisturizes your hair pretty well
Stephanie Weeks I just did this with the Cantu. I'm in my plop and ready for gel. Cross your finger! xoxo C
I used a ton of conditioner and and put a tiny bit of the can to curl activator before the gel
Jennifer Badillo want to try the same, did it work?
Sooo happy to read that!!
I use Cantu curl activating cream and love it. If you use “a lot” it can also create a cast! I put a lot in quotations because I use a lot less than she used of gel. But I rake the product through while I’m still in the shower and it also helps me get rid of any tangles that got left behind. Then I scrunch some extra product away and plop for a few minutes while I get dress, air dry, and scrunch our the crunch.
Using leave in was a total game changer for me. Cantu makes one also. A little less $ than Shea Moisture. Equally as effective.
So you first co-wash
2. Conditioner
3. Plop your hair
4. Gel
5. Use the diffuser .
So you do not wash off the conditioner .
Did I get the steps correct ?
And do you oil your hair ? Because if the hair is oiled , the co wash wouldn't remove the oil right . So what do we do then ?
I am so glad I found your channel. I am gonna start a curly girl method tomorrow. Looking forward to getting my long lost curls back.
Yay!!! I really liked it too ❤️ thanks for the feedback. What leave in Sid you use
Curly Susie I used the SheaMoisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Defining Smoothie (only just bought it) and added the red Taft gel after plopping - I think the change of order (gel after plop) made all the difference.
Using a diffusor is key to me. If i don't my curls fall out by the time it dries, and it looks flat with no volume
Hey Jay!! My hair is definitely curlier with the diffuser. But I’ll probably still air dry most often. I love trying all different methods though.
Have you tried washing your hair in the evening and sleeping on it plopped? For me that's an even better result than diffusing :)
jay hulrs no if I diffuse my hair I get more frizz and my hair gets very stiff
Agree my hair is the same way I have to do fuse or my hair looks like crap
That happens to me too. I'm thinking need to bite the bullet and start diffusing.
You are a real pro! Such a wonderful and informative video. Love the music and you little boy is adorable.
I’ve gotta try that conditioner ASAP
Curly Susie it’s so good and super cheap!
Curly Susie when you do, can you please review??
Nat S 👍🏻 I looked at the ingredients, definitely going to try this. Thanks a bunch!
My hair is 2c too, but has been weighed down by conditioner in the past, do you know what porosity your hair is? and how thick is your hair?
You're killing me with this, I had the old routine down pat! LOL
Hey Kathryn. I will definitely be using my regular routine 98% of the time. This was a lot of steps. But it was a great routine & fun to try
Curly Susie agreed!
Kathryn 🤣
Hello Susie your hair journey helped me a lot. Since my hair is a lot like yours. Thanks for being there for us.
That is the gel I use. I am new to the CG method, and it was the only one I could find approved. I like it a lot.
Liz Humble Kinky Curly Curl Custard is a great CG approved gel.
I wouldn't be able to diffuse my hair for 30 minutes every morning but definitely will have to try for a special occasion.
Me either Ester! I’ll most likely do my regular hair routine & air dry but I’d do this on occasion.
I love trying new routines. Didn’t think I’d like this one but it’s great for frizz!
Watch out with the LA Looks Extreme Sports Gel if you’re protein sensitive.
Thanks Marc!! I don’t find it too bad but I also don’t use it often.
OMG I’ve been using this everyday thinking it has no protein!!!! Wow, thanks for this comment! And I’ve been clueless as to why my hair is constantly overloaded!! Gosh... :/
Same with the eco curl and wave gel (pink one). I think the first or second ingredient is a hydrolyzed protein
Ps.
Thank you!!
Thanks so much! That’s a good idea, I modify everything lol
This lady is real. Love her hair and love this video.
Love the music when you were putting the gel in.
Same
Did you end up trying it?
Love your co-star! 😍😍 this routine is nearly EXACTLY what I do. I use less leave in, but I have to use some sort of leave in and diffusing really boosts my curls and gives me body. If I air dry my hair looks glued to my head like a helmet for HOURS. Your hair looked like it would have been fine even without the gel. I still think you’d look great with no product too, you have such perfect hair ! Thanks for another great video Susie!
Thanks for watching!! I love my co-star too. He’s the best 💙💙💙💙
You have such beautiful and smooth ringlets with this method! I’ll have to try this out (just with a super light conditioner for my hair type haha)
Yes!! I’ll use a lighter conditioner next time.
I am amazed that all that product left such a full, bouncy beautiful look! I would never have guessed that would work.. gonna try.. thanks 👍🏻
GORGEOUS! Your hair is what curl dreams are made of!
Thank you Pam!
Any video that features Black Beauty is going to be a good video! I love that hair dryer! X
sadly, I'm not only dealing with curly hair but GRAY curly hair and it's changed the texture of my once soft, curls
I wanted so badly for this method to work on me, but there is such a thing as TOO much conditioner and it can weigh the curls down. Going to stick to my regular conditioner use in the shower. And my husband is totally excited that your hair is making me consider growing mine past my shoulders again.
My favorite moment of this video is your little kid 😭😍❤️
He’s the best 💙
Seeking The Sparkle me too 😍😍
I tried this method today and it is a total game changer! My curls look so nice! Thank you, Laura and Susie.
Hi Susie, I’m new to your channel and I really love how you use budget friendly products! But girl, get yourself a dryer that actually fits your diffuser! 😉❤️😉
Never!!! Hahaha
Jodie Lieberman I once had a boss that drove his Saturn 253,000 miles before it died, same thing!🤣🍺
Laura was the first curly girl I followed on Instagram but I didn't know her routine. I'll definitely be trying this.
Omg I literally just made flaxseed gel for the first time today! Currently waiting to scrunch the crunch and see how it went 🤞
What happened?!
Dont leave us hanging! 😂
lauren h How is it made???
@@dianesamp9102 you put flax seeds in a nylon stocking and boil it for x amount of time..I've never done it before but there are videos on UA-cam showing you how.
Thanks so much Mariexpress!!!!! 💙
I’m deep conditioning right now and am going to try this technique! Can’t wait! 🤞 that I get the same results! Thanks Susie!
Your hair is beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Because of you I am happy again with my hair! This is huge for me😍 TY!
Your hair is so pretty. Love your videos
Thank you Kathleen!!
I’ve been using flax gel with 2tbs of sugar and a pinch of epsom for curl formation and I’m really liking it so far!
Fauve Fauve great tip! 👍🏻
Thank you for you’re video’s , i am in transition for my natural curls and you really help me 😘😘😘
Thank you so much Izabella!!
I’ve done it again with approximately 1/2 of the conditioner used in this video & I liked it even more 💜
Oh my gosh the little visitor at 3:15 😍😂
washing only with water works, heard about coconut oil then rinse.similar.my hair has a hard oriental shaft yet egyptian curls.beware of jealous roomies, they like to put straighteners and perm solution in ur products.
Wait so no rinsing out the conditioner at all??? Did I miss that step?
You only rinse your co-wash out!
Only the co-wash one because the other one is a leave-in :)
it's a leave-in conditioner
I'm new to CGM after years of straightening and hating my hair (2c/3a, high porosity, medium density). I'm about 2 weeks in and still learning. I will definitely try this. Thanks!
Hi Susie! What about the sleeping routine,? , how you keep your locks by night: free or you have a particular method? Thanks in advice, also for this yseful tutorial :))
Hey! I do several things. I sleep on a silk pillowcase & I put my hair in a loose pony tail on the top of my head with a silk scrunchie. In the morning I just have to dampen my hair & add a bit of product.
@@CurlySusie thank you! I've got natural curls: the hardest part of them, for me, is to keep them in good shape like at the first wash
I loved this and it was so helpful :) The amount of conditioner was shocking but I will give it a go!
I would use slightly less next time
You're video's are lovely, really clear step by step guides, honestly love them! Can't wait to try all these techniques :) Merci!
Wow, your hair looks amazing!
Laura routine was a game changer for me as well. I use the down under naturals nude as my leave in!
Hey Jen, I was a hard core NUDE fan... now I like Tresemme botanicals, it’s heavier & gives me a different look but I go back & fourth.
Does this work without a diffuser ? I don’t own one... does this work air drying?
Wow...great hair! Mine is thin & straight, I have to curl mine, but it doesn't last. Sometimes just a couple hours, sometimes a couple days! If I ever could have 4 days of good hair I would be thrilled! ; )
Any suggestions for lighter leave-in conditioners? (Hopefully drug store products but any are great)
Giovanni direct leave in. A little goes a long way. It really does give weightless moisture. I love that stuff!
@@justinehorton2527 yes, I loove this product! The perfect weight, and very hydrating.
I just tried this and wow!!! So happy with the result. Thanks for sharing!!
Were you shocked though. Even when mine was 1/2 way dry I was thinking “there is no way this is gonna look good” lol
Curly Susie yeah, I had the same thoughts.
Also the feel of my hair. I thought this is going to feel yuk, like it does when you don't rinse properly.
Once dry that was (mostly) gone, still feels a little different but doable.
Do not wrap hair after gel peeps.. The T-shirt removes it
She didn't.
@@hanacecelia671 she does here though. I am reminding you guys NOT to.
ua-cam.com/video/JjNCSpDDsac/v-deo.html
I don't even plop it either. I tried it and it removes the conditioner. So just use it lightly to scrunch it if dripping. If not, leave it alone. Put the T-shirt over your shoulders and go do your stuff then when less wet diffuse or let it dry naturally in the sun :)
OMG your hair looks soooooo good with this method!!! Love it!!! Can’t wait for the flaxseed gel video!!!
Try Mixed chicks leave -in or better still Kinky Curly Knot Today!! Both I found to be amazing leave -in’s and the Knot Today I also love in the shower to help detangle my hair. Your results were really nice!!! Will have to try the Laura method next wash day. 😉
Hey! Thanks for the recommendation :)
Curly Susie 👍🏻full on product junkie if you couldn't tell!!! Lol.
The mixed chicks leave in isn't curly girl approved, it has silicones in it.
9melissal Good to know. Thought I had checked, guess I missed that. Luckily it hasn’t harmed my hair. For some reason I can’t explain my hair LOVES it!!! I do TRY to just use cg only stuff, but this must have slipped through my net.
I second the Kinky Curly Knot today! Conditions without weighing your hair down❤️
Thank you Susie . . . your videos are helping a lot.
Prasanah Manoharan you can!
What is cowashing?
GodandGun Clinger to wash your hair with a conditioner instead of shampoo. You can either use a regular conditioner or a special co wash
Prasanah Manoharan thank you
Laura’s hair is unbelievable.
Very nice comment. Made my day. Thank you!
Oh my gosh I know Laura!!! She's on our CGM Facebook page!! Her curls are legit goals!
