I was watching some of her concerts from the earlier years on UA-cam and she was just amazing. She looked HAPPY. When you see her in later performances and interviews. She just looks so sad. It’s heartbreaking.

She’s authentically enjoying herself. Then take a look at her Billboard 2015 performance. Though she still looks great, there’s a sadness to her. The authenticity isn’t really there .. sad.

Louise Mary Taylor got paid 18 million which is 5% of Britneys earnings, so what happened to the 300 million. I truly hope robin greenhall gets taken down with that civil case against sean combs. What a lot of people don’t understand is that Jamie spent Britney’s money and continuing to sue would only cause her to spend more money. Even if she went to court and won, from where would the money be collected? It simply doesn’t exist anymore. And the other point I don’t think everyone understands is sometimes staying in a legal dispute perpetuates the abuse you suffered. You simply cannot heal and put that chapter behind you while still fighting over the trauma and abuse. It’s time for Britney to live her life how she pleases and to let go of the past so she can focus on her future and healing in whatever way she feels is best for herself.

The guardianship courts allow for robbing and stealing as once these creatures are appointed to a case it is a blank check. It is possible that it would have cost Britney tons of money to go to trial and risk getting little to nothing- since guardianship courts are there to serve the interests of their fellow bar members.

I don't know how this went on for so long.... she should have been much better protected by her advocates. Her court appointed attorney was paid hundreds of thousands a year, and seemed to go along with whatever her father wanted to do.

If there is a conservatorship does the person in charge of it have a fiduciary duty to the person being protected by it? There were accounts that money went to relatives besides the father. I am reminded of cases where parents of child actors lived outside their means with the money the child made and left them with nothing once they came of age.

Hi Emily, thanks for the video. I needed the distraction while I was waiting for the plumber to finish installing my new water heater. If even half of what I've read about how Ms. Spears was treated under the conservatorship was true, then yes, she hasn't received justice. Forced to use an IUD, her bedroom bugged, her phone monitored, not allowed to pick her own lawyer, kept working constantly, her father paying himself extortionate fees, etc., etc....if even half of this is true, it's appalling. But at least she's free now.

I don't know how this went on for so long.... she should have been much better protected by her advocates. Her court appointed attorney was paid hundreds of thousands a year, and seemed to go along with whatever her father wanted to do.
I hope this brings her closure and space to heal. It's so sad what they put her through and how she was denied justice ( I believe the scandal ran to deep for her to deep for justice to be served)

Her dad already showed that he's willing to continually inflict more trauma on her to try to get his way when he tried to depose her before. Guaranteed any money he has - all stolen from Britney - is carefully hidden offshore somewhere so that Britney couldn't get it no matter what. All continuing this could do was hurt her more.
I hope the settlement bans him from doing anything else to make money off her - writing a book, selling interviews, making his own documentary, etc. I hope it also includes a very strong no-contact agreement.

I knew the kids don't want to see her - I should have phrased my comment better. I hope for reconciliation. I personally have no relationship with my own mother, but if she'd lived through what Britney has, I'd give her more chances than I already have. We'd definitely be in therapy.
If there is a conservatorship does the person in charge of it have a fiduciary duty to the person being protected by it? There were accounts that money went to relatives besides the father. I am reminded of cases where parents of child actors lived outside their means with the money the child made and left them with nothing once they came of age.

Britney is divorced, conservatorship done, youngest kid is nearly 18 - so she may not have gotten any justice whatsoever but she can start fresh with a blank slate without all the dependents & hangers on now - the golden fleece has been sheared & stitched up so theres nothing left take from her either. They all got a away with it - but she survived against all odds. I hope she moves to a safer country & does whatever she wants whenever she wants.

Hi Emily, thanks for the video. I needed the distraction while I was waiting for the plumber to finish installing my new water heater. If even half of what I've read about how Ms. Spears was treated under the conservatorship was true, then yes, she hasn't received justice. Forced to use an IUD, her bedroom bugged, her phone monitored, not allowed to pick her own lawyer, kept working constantly, her father paying himself extortionate fees, etc., etc....if even half of this is true, it's appalling. But at least she's free now.
Sometimes it's just too hard to continue and all you can do is accept the loss. I hope she finds peace and healing. I also hope that this fiasco of a conservatorship makes the court take a closer look at what's happening to those under the "care" of someone else.
