Learn How to Paint "WATERFALL OASIS" with Acrylic - Paint & Sip at Home - Fun Step by Step Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 12 лип 2024
- VIDEO DESCRIPTION - This painting tutorial will take you through easy to follow, step-by-step instructions on how to draw and paint this secluded spring landscape image of "WATERFALL OASIS" with acrylic paint. You'll learn simple drawing and painting techniques that will help you to create this inspirational waterscape landscape image with a realistic woman taking a bath under the streaming water coming off of the cliff on a sunny day. This inspirational lady, with long flowing hair and suntan skin, will whisk the viewer away to a private concealed spot nestled in a captivating quiet cove deep in the forest. Surrounded by lush evergreens, detailed rocks, bright flowers, turquois water and blossoming flowering trees, the waterfall will add movement to the composition as gravity takes over and splashes it into the pool below. While painting this tranquil natural oasis, you'll learn how to create dimension in the shape of the figure and in the stones with a simple layering technique to create contour highlights and shadows that will define the small details. You'll also learn how to create drama in the sky and water by using color theory and blending to guide you through a soft gradient of colors. When painting the land and trees, you'll learn to use carefree impressionistic brushstrokes to create texture and dimension. Use your imagination and customize this to resemble your favorite type of landscape with different flowers, like the tropical bird of paradise, irises or orchids, or maybe change up the type of trees to resemble palm trees, pine trees, or birch trees, perhaps the person is a couple, a child or a fantasy fairy. The point is to just have fun with it! With the enchanting narrative storybook fairytale that this painting represents, you'll be able to paint this image that will be a little magical and realistic at the same time, making for a beautiful painting to decorate your home all year long with. You'll have fun painting it and you'll learn some valuable lessons along the way that you can utilize in future work. Let this painting symbolize the release of emotion, rejuvenation and renewal of spirit. Using only 3 brushes and 7 colors we'll create this conversational masterpiece with a delightful semblance of mother nature in her finest hour. So, let's get painting and let's get sipping!

Michelle, you are the ONLY a painter that I can really learn from. THANK YOU for being a GREAT TEACHER. I also would like to know what kind of paint, brand name, acrylic paint you use? The white I have isn’t white, thick enough
Hi Carol, for these tutorials I'm using a thin bodied student grade paint from Blick Materials called Blickrylics. They don't have the best pigment, but I like the consistency for layering and blending affects. I sell small sample sizes of the colors I use on my website (link below) if you want to try them before you invest in the larger bottles.
Have fun painting!

I asked Michelle about her paint a while ago. I got every color Michelle uses and a few extra colors. I can't tell you how much easier it is to paint her paintings using the same paint. I bought a few samples first from Michelle, now I have 26 bottles. I did buy extra white.
Thank you so much for all your tutorials. Learning heaps from you. Look forward to your diverse subjects everytime.

That was awesome. Think I'll try this later on my own. 🧡💚💙💜
Have fun!
Just a lovely Spring scene! You are such a wonderful teacher, Michelle. QUESTION: Do you glaze your paintings when they’re finished? Do you varnish? Thanks so much!
Hi Lois, I usually do not seal my paintings, because when acrylic paint fully cures, it is very durable. However, I do sometimes seal/varnish my paintings for esthetic purposes to bring all of the sheens together. I prefer to use a spray (Grumbacher or Golden) or liquid gloss (Liquitex) varnish. I hope this helps. Have fun painting.
I’ve been watching you do this painting about a half a dozen times. I think I’m ready to try and tackle it. I just finished you dragon it turned out pretty good"
Nice! Happy to hear that!

Hi Auror, thanks for watching my videos. Actually, you can go to my channel and see that I just did a tutorial of a goat on a mountain rock. You can watch those steps and learn how to paint rocks. I hope this helps. Have fun!

Great suggestion! Thank you!
Love your paintings I've learned a lot from watching you paint. I follow along but my paintings are not that good..but i am learning to draw better i think.
Thank you so much 😀
Beautiful scenic area. I love watching you paint. I do not miss your videos. Can you tell me how I can mix paint to be a sage color? Thanks
Hello, Sage green is a light brownish green, so you can mix green oxide with a little brown, yellow and white. I hope this helps. Have fun painting, Michelle
Hi Michelle, I’m enjoying watching your painting and I have painted a few along side your You tube. You are so talented. But I can not for the life of me figure out how to print a completed copy like you mention in your videos. Please send me extra help. I’m dumb I guess lol😆
Hi Dawn, an image of the painting is in the description below the video. Sometimes you have to click on "read more" in order for it appear. I hope this helps. Have fun painting!
What medium do you use to keep the paint fluid please ... my paint seems to be a lot drier and difficult to blend ...
Hi John, for these tutorials I'm using a thin bodied student grade paint from Blick Materials called Blickrylics. They don't have the best pigment, but I like the consistency for layering and blending affects. @@johnallison9174 Ok, then your local crafts store might have a student grade paint. That will work.
