This video was wild. Destiny went from making fun of Hasan about how he was just agreeing with Ethan and providing no argument or pushback to doing the same with X. Ethan and X's stances are opposed and Destiny should have been able to make a good argument against what X is doing, but fails to do this because of what I can only assume is being too afraid to upset X on this take. My two cents.
Destiny's stance has been crystal clear since this all blew up. He doesn't think react streamers hurt UA-cam channels. He agreed with x here because he agrees with x, not because he's scared to disagree. Destiny is notorious for burning bridges because he disagrees with people, and has been for his entire career. I sincerely doubt he just randomly had a change of heart here, especially considering he and x haven't even been interacting much at all in the last year or two. He made fun of Hasan for meekly agreeing with Ethan because Hasan doesn't actually agree, he's just scared of losing clout if he burns bridges. Destiny doesn't agree with Ethan, he just enjoys watching Hasan try to squirm his way out of having any actual opinions.
Just recently x had a talk with doctor K, I think Destiny had some part to play. Hasan is a spoiled child, x is unstable. Spoiled children need raising, Unstable people need care.

It's hilarious the entitlement of xQc being like "I'm taking a risk that this video I'm stealing without any permission and without even having vetted in advance might not be good", and he thinks that's a good point. Like fucking hell dude, even those pages that just steal memes from Reddit at least can say they're "curating" by only sharing them if they're funny. So much defense from the react thieves presumes that they're just entitled to be able to stream 10+ hours of good content that they didn't make every day. They think it's unthinkably unfair that they should possibly have to just not stream for some amount of time so they can even just prepare what videos to show, or what they want to say in response, or even that they can just turn off the stream for a while so they can take a shit and walk the dog or get some food. The idea that they could spend just a small part of their day not monetised doesn't even occur to them.

I dont agree with xqc at all in this. He claims that the opposition is too emotionally involved and soyboy about it when he is literally doing that exact thing. The reason why lazy react content is bad is because if it keeps being profitable with zero risk whatsoever, it incentivizes react content over creating original content in the first place. We should be incentivizing and supporting the original content as much as possible, yet people prefer to watch the version of that same video with a square facecam in the top left and financially support that instead. The way that the react meta works is that there can only be so many reactors at one time, because if everyone would become a react andy, there would be no content to react to. There is always somebody putting in hours, weeks, or months of work for less compensation than the guy who spent an hour or two watching and eating his doordashed lunch.
That's up to the audience to decide which gets more popular if people don't want to watch original content and only want to watch it if their favorite streamer is involved then that's how it goes. I don't know we should punish or get angry at xqc just because alot of people don't want to watch original content as is or just because he is lazy.
But that's to say that streamers strictly benefit and long-form content creators strictly don't. There is absolutely proof that streamers and reaction in general give views and attention to the original content creator. Reactors (atleast when proper credit and linming is done to the original creator) exist less like a thief and more like a signal boost. Less parasitic and more mutualism.

U coulda flipped xqc's argument back on him because react streamers say the viewers watch it for their reactions. If he loses a bunch of viewers when playing a boring video, then that means those viewers were just there for the other persons content
Idk why people defend these streamers making millions of reacting to other peoples content with minimal to no actual input. It shouldn't be a thing. If u can't fill your 12 hour stream with your own content... just don't stream for 12 hours. I disagree with X and Destiny about watching videos you can’t react to. If you can’t react and your job is to react and entertain, you have no business watching that video on stream. Watch it on your free time. Same for Hasan. If he can’t handle streaming for 8 hours, which was one excuse for low effort content, he shouldn’t stream for 8 hours. Just do what you can do, right?
I really can’t fathom why XQC is worth $100 million. I can’t understand a word of it - and I’m actually one of the few people who knows what he’s saying. But even though I know what he’s saying, the content of his speech escapes me. He’s like a living bot.
How is it possible to understand that if you use a musicians music without their permission it's obviously wrong, but using someone else's video content is an ethical gray area?
Because those musicians have publishers with a lot of money that will reliably go after them legally whereas the youtube content creators are small time solo run operations most of the time. These streamers are just like spoiled kids that desperately need a spanking.
I am so glad this came to a head! Ethan may be a dolt on most things. I'm not certain he "realized" anything here. He's pretty much entirely driven by popular opinion of what is offensive and what isn't. The controversy has made it popular to shit on Hasan, Ethan's just going with the wind like he always does.
Idk if lemmino commented on this or not but it's pretty funny to imagine him waking up and hearing that everyone is talking about his video only to find out it's twitter drama
I'm convinced that streamers are just entirely disconnected when it comes to this issue. Destiny and Xqc saying that people being "morally outraged for other people" is pretty hypocritical considering thats essentially what politics are. Why defend trans people, you aren't trans. Why defend black people, you don't have that experience. If this is your position, don't talk about things that don't directly affect you

"Idk how he plans to "subsidize the entire industry if there is not control over IP" By removing the profit motive, hence the subsidy. He'd eliminate ownership entirely so long as his ideas remain a fantasy and don't threaten his merch income.
@coollambo7926 But why would I want to let you steal my IP anyway? It's still theft but with no consequence because you assume people wouldn't still care because of a free check. I'd feel some type of way if I worked on 30 or 60 minute video and got less views on it because Hasan just played it on stream to make everyone feel like they're just in a movie theater. At that point, none of the work you did would reflect in any of your metrics or engagement regardless of any subsidies. Let's Players objectively (on average) add more to the content they play than Hasan does to what he watches most of the time.
Why does Hassan think it's other creator's responsibility to entertain his audience while he walks out to go the washroom, or get something to eat? His "what do we do, when we step out" attitude is bonkers. Stepping out doesn't give you the right to utilize others work to entertain your audience.

I always love these Destiny/XQC therapy sessions. This video reminds me of 2020 (or earlier?) when XQC would hop into Destiny's discord when he finished streaming and they would just chat about life.
49:28 What are they even arguing about? Did Destiny even read what Muta said? He didn't say all reaction is bad, only when they react to the video, barely add anything and then upload that whole vod on YT instead of leaving it on twitch. Xqc's argument makes no sense there because if he didn't find anything interesting to add to the video why reupload it? If you reacted to the video, couldn't find anything to add, leave it there don't reupload the barely unchanged video to YT. Is not that hard to comprehend.
Shit like this is why people say destiny isn't charitable towards lefties. He even acknowledges he agrees with Hasan, and continues to try and get the dunk over acknowledging both parties have questionable positions.

Yeah, it's weird that he get so emotional when people call him out on his bullshit.
Didn't viper proof that wrong?
The one time Ethan makes good points, Hassan comes out to stuff him. This is actually comical gold
54:50 Xqc is just projecting, he's the insecure one. He's the one who started "malding" and throwing insults after Muta calmly explained his side, and xqc is the on getting angry and up in his feelings about all of this lol.
Writers really putting in work this season
i’m dead😭😭
I thought they were supposed to be on strike?
ChatGPT took over, doing marvelous work.
Writers are on strike, we got this season thanks to The Power of AI
Now this is some transformative content. Well done, August.
Credit to Ethan. IP law is something he’s always been consistent on.
12:00 Hasan was born in fuckin Brunswick USA. Cause his rich parents wanted him to get the priceless American citizenship. That’s how rich his parents were to do such stuff.
I agree with Ethan 100% that people should start using DMCA claims more often for shit like this but I also understand there is a huge stigma behind doing that and fear of a reputation hit that could follow despite them being fully in the right.
so should people not live react to live news? they shouldn't address breaking news and only prepare clips to react/respond to?
@@aweshumandy If u watch live news and comment nothing about the news u r watching then yeah u shouldn't be "reacting" to it.
@@aweshumandyI’ve seen you in more than 5 comments trying to defend Hasan’s honor. Please go somewhere else where they’ll appreciate the knob gobbling.

Yeah I don't get it either
Not when you take into account his viewers are all children and perpetual children.
just out of curiosity what type of streamer or personality would u expect be more likely to be the biggest streamer
Actually kai is bigger right now x highest paid
Not really
when this duo came about I thought Ethan would be the spineless yesman of the two who is way too opinionated for his knowledge but it ended up being NepoHasan ☠
I appreciate the editing in this video in how it emphasizes Destiny’s reactions when they happen and then reverts to the original video. I’ve always zoomed in on UA-cam videos to catch both face cams and this was a nice touch in terms of editing.
This was so confusing at first, all these people in little boxes talking about different things and then a video game in the center. I'm cheering for the blue guy anyways, he seems like he might win whatever this is
I watched this live because I am a H3H3 fan and it was crazy to see so many people in the chat saying Ethan was being crazy for his comments towards hasan. Ethan is just looking out for him so he won’t get sued one day.
Right Ethan is a true friend no matter what he maybe a blunt straightforward friend but he seems to really care about the ppl in his life.
As someone who doesn’t like Ethan much i respect him for this. Watching Hasan dance around while Ethan just cut straight through the bullshit was hilarious. Ethan clearly has an actual principled position on this topic and Hasan obviously just wants to espouse fake virtue while making money off of other people’s work.
@@AstrodeBastroHasan knows it's kinda wrong what he does sometimes, that's the reason
That chat is cancer. There’s a really toxic part of the h3 fan base that literally can’t even handle watching people simply disagree without losing their minds and thinking it’s a terrible thing 😂 Hasan needed to be called out and Ethan actually did it how a real friend should. He didn’t coddle Hasan and he shouldn’t. It was wild to see some of the h3 comments and chat say Ethan went goblin mode and was being too mean, those people are gonna have such a hard time detaching from the computer and dealing with the real world 😂
@@liliputiense7956I am sure some of it are hasans fans, but h3 has always had a group of super toxic fans that lose their minds about everything and have for years. They constantly try to stir up drama it’s wild 😂
XQC " If I walk into a shop, take their product, don't pay for it, take it home, use it and I don't like it then it's the stores fault."
I wish my father spoke to me like destiny speaks to xqc
Never would I have expected Ethan of all people to be the one to absolutely roast Hasan & hold his feet to the fire.
What a trip. Dude's sooo spineless it's actually mind-boggling that he made it this far. But that's nepo-babies for ya, I guess.
And it's so funny how Destiny's become this sorta de facto diplomat between streamers and UA-camrs. Ya love to see it. D & X should do more stuff together, honestly, they're just such a funny combo.
Remember Hasan grew up poor everyone. The poor leftist lmao
@@cc-bk3txhes never said that an in this video you see him saying the opposite
And by diplomat you mean he fundamentally thinks one side is wrong
But he is the arbiter of youtube fair use and knows his shit because of the several year long legal battle with Matt Hoss. i cant believe it took him this long to realize his cohost was skirting the line of fair use and has been for years.
If this is your position, don't talk about things that don't directly affect you
I will never understand this debate the way I see it.
UA-camrs argument: Please don’t upload our entire videos with no reaction because I have worked weeks, days, hours on theses videos. I lose revenue and views with no foreseeable tangible benefit. You also massively profit from work that you didn’t put in.
Streamers argument: But I want too! 😖
yeah, and the streamer's arguments are that the video creator can't prove loss of revenue so they should be allowed to do it
@@nikker1 Yeah it’s ridiculous, it’s like someone stealing a candy bar from a gas station. Then when they get caught making the gas station clerk prove that it was going to be bought in the first place. It’s like how about you just don’t steal?
I have never been able to figure out why xQc is so popular. He's not even remotely charismatic when he's being braindead like wtf.
Edit: and now I just got to the part where he had a message on his phone from Ethan but wouldn't open it because he didn't want to stop his game so was instead asking Destiny to contact Ethan... what an actual piece of crap.
People ask the same thing for every streamer they don't like. Hasan for example.
@@bubblyybubbyHasan has pretty privilege, I genuinely don't see what X has going for him
@@Substantial-hf1rmAnd Hasan will get alot of short term fans or casual fans who don't see the full picture of how much of a grifter he is. He built his political image carefully that way
@bubblyybubby idk if that's actually true. I don't like Hasan but I get why people like him. I cannot wrap my head around liking xqc though.
Thanks Destiny, you almost gave me a brain aneurism listening to Hassan tap dance around questions. Idk how he plans to "subsidize the entire industry if there is not control over IP. Hes literally playing into the dumb spoiled socialist stereotype where he thinks every issue should just be solved by throwing more money at it.
"Idk how he plans to "subsidize the entire industry if there is not control over IP"
By removing the profit motive, hence the subsidy. He'd eliminate ownership entirely so long as his ideas remain a fantasy and don't threaten his merch income.
Give people a basic income so that they can create art without the fear that someone stealing their IP will leave them homeless
@@Ktmfan450so basically give everyone money and nobody will be poor, im glad the genius has finally arrived to elighten us all.
@@EyesDontCry Next thing he'll say is no one will have to work so everyone can be happy
Yeah, it's honestly baffling. What is wrong with just taking a break? The "content" can be "awful" for a couple minutes. It's not the end of the world. He's so fucking weird about this.
Right. He's got thousands of hours of vods. Make a compilation and play that whilst you're on a break
Unironically too afraid of losing viewers.
I like Hasan but he's clearly choosing not to lose viewers during those moments. if you just pause it, some people will lose focus and do something else (ADHD brains)
And then he uploads the video to his channel and doesn't give half of the earnings to the guy who made the video he just watched. When he gets criticism for it, he rants unhinged about ppl calling him a champagne socialist (which he is), like bruh.
How any Hasan fans watch this and then still be proud to be Hasan fans and defend him on his actions in regards to this stuff is amazing. It's like watching an actual circus full of clowns.
Too bad ,in hasans universe there is no word called "destiny" while destiny being quite small streamer chant five times hasans name to gain some clout.
Hasan is not the main clown though. Other, older clowns started this trend and he just learned from the worse. Sad.

I always love these Destiny/XQC therapy sessions. This video reminds me of 2020 (or earlier?) when XQC would hop into Destiny's discord when he finished streaming and they would just chat about life.
Agreed, lot of people in the comments sadly talking shit saying they can’t watch this just cause X has a speech impediment.

I'm sorry but xQc just comes off as the most dishonest/disingenuous react Andy out there..

This wasn’t remotely gloves off. This was barely confronting
And then Ethan pulled a zipper down his face, revealing Sam Hyde.
Shit like this is why people say destiny isn't charitable towards lefties. He even acknowledges he agrees with Hasan, and continues to try and get the dunk over acknowledging both parties have questionable positions.
xQc being the biggest streamer in the world by stealing others content and then being offered a megadeal by a gambling fueled platform/company is really a sign of our time...
chill
This is actually the perfect self serving view. Every statement only exists to serve his own interest
The crazy thing, as someone who has worked in the gaming industry for over a decade, the whole streaming games online and making money off it could end literally tomorrow. You are not guaranteed the ability to do it, it's more of an agreement with the industry than a law saying you can. Case in point, nintendo.
Yeah, let's hope the Nintendo style doesn't become mainstream like gacha games did. Then we will truly have entered hell
Ethan is pulling out the shotgun and is shooting everybody and i love it.
Listening to xQc talk. You can completely understand why youtubers hate streamers.
Hell why anyone at all who has a decent job would hate streamers.
Why is Ethan now FOR the creators and against „theft“?! He called out DarkViperAU about the same fucking topic 1 year ago. DarkViperAU started this whole debate again and again
53:00 Come the fuck on. How can you have a whole conversation about this with three people a few days back and say this in good faith.
I swear Destiny is teying real hard to be as bad faith as possible.
@StonedEmoKid I agree. He is very good at going through the steps from A to B to C, but he throws that out the window when it comes to this when it's an easy take to get a W on.
I guess I can't believe he can be so logical in one vid and then do this; he spoke with Mauler, Aba and Mira like two days ago about this and they expressed pretty much all the angles necessary to understand why people could be upset by this. Idk.
????????? What is he talking about? "We didnt have access to video games"??????? Why is he lying. You literally couldve buy 3A games for 50 cent. Also the blackmarket that he was talking about was goverment supported. These shops was everywhere. If you bring your own cds you couldve get discount too. Hes full of shit
you can tell how dumb/ anxious hasan gets when he doesn't have a chat to back him up or has the ability to ban someone he see's in person.
When XQC said "hdiejajfjkgirjd" i really felt that
The intermittent giggling from time to time by Destiny while reacting to H3H3's video was transformative and therefore fair use.
