Well, it had some pretty dire consequences for the people involved, so drama maybe isn't perfect for it, but I guess drama is an all encompassing term as of late.

Honestly if I was Matt I would of approached this situation by saying.
“I did not cover up SA, I heard an allegation, conducted an investigation, and with evidence we proceeded to fire Don believing he was guilty.” Just because you hear an allegation of SA you cannot just act on impulse, sadly people lie, everyone deserves a sense of doubt. SuperMega is not guilty of anything, they didn’t even handle the situation badly. All SuperMega is guilty of is being to kind to freeloaders.
I think they didn't even want to take a side in this because it sounds like Lex and Don were both friends to them. They only chose to fire Don because he was a liability to the channel and company to keep him around when he has this accusation tied to his name. It doesn't matter if the claim was true or not, that accusation is forever tied to him, so from a business perspective it makes more sense to just cut him out instead of keeping him around. They can't say this publically and didn't say this in their response videos either otherwise people will misconstrue it as them defending Don which, considering the court of public opinion has already deemed him guilty with no proof of him actually assaulting Lex, is something that will get them even more shit. They have to throw Don under the bus and disavow him and cut him off because trying to even be neutral on him will get them so much shit
Plus Lex even said she didn't want to make it a big public thing. Super Mega followed her wishes and didn't publicize it. Then when it's convenient for her and her friends, it suddenly turns into "they covered it all up"
What makes no sense to me is if Lex was truly traumautized by the supposed SA commited by Don, why did she proceed to engage in a long distance romantic relationship with him across a contitnent for a further year before breaking up with him when he finally comes back for Creator Clash 2. To me it seems almost like Lex is heavily exxagerating what was likely a very awkward sexual encounter between two 20 somethings to make it sound much worse than it actually was.
Considering that she also didn't bring up this event to supermega until over a year after it occured, after she broke up with him, and then only after she discovers that Don is currently staying with Supermega, and her further lies about supermega in her "expose", I don''t know, seems more like an incredibly manipulative women.
Probably why a lot of people stay in relationships like those. The partner is their access to friends, family, etc. In this case, he sounds like her in to chill and work for super mega so kept dating him

It's all about the personality cult instead of the content and therefore it makes perfect sense to not separate the "artist" from their "art". I mean I have convicted murderers and child molesters in my music collection, but it doesn't affect my perception of their works. I wouldn't be friends and leave my kids alone with those people, but their artistic works have merits on their own. This cannot be said on today's streamers/influencers where their personality, opinions and beliefs are the product they sell. Hence it's perfectly understandable their para-social fans react the way they do. It's all part of the game everyone plays because the content/service creators provide isn't unique. Viewers will move to another streamer when they believe you fucked up because there are 5011 other people out there who stream playing Fortnite or Minecraft or whatever the popular game du jour is who align with their opinions.

@@ObservetteSure, you can take allegations seriously, but shouldn't there be a limit to how bad a story can be, before the allegation goes from sexual assault to awkward encounter used as a spring board for making a hit piece? I don't think allegations should be tossed, even if there isn't evidence, but it also can't be used as proof of them being guilty, just because an allegation exists. What should happen, is that the an unsubstantiated allegation should remain in limbo, until additional facts can be uncovered that prove either guilty or not. I find it seriously disturbing how seriously people take allegations that seem absolutely outlandish, and lump them in with accusations that are way more likely to be true, or have more substantive evidence behind them, and having seriously bad allegations in the same group with legitimate believable claims makes every other claim seem or look worse by just being associated.
Fourth, he's gotten much better! Blatantly buttering up Destiny to get him into the story so he'd feel compelled to look into it himself.. wise man, legit great journalistic instincts.

I think it's ridiculous the male has to prove he didn't do anything just from someone bringing up an uncomfortable situation with her new bf, which is Pethan that is bffs with Nickisgreen . They probably convinced her to come forward because she was RAPED by a PREDATOR. They make a living off drama like this. Nick is Lex! Ethan and Nick have loved each other for years but the only way Ethan was going to be with Nick was if he was a girl. So, Nick puts on different glasses, an ugly wig, and creates the alter ego Lex so they can be together.
But people became suspicious, people could see that Lex is clearly Nick with a bad wig. So Ethan and Nick needed a plan. In comes Leighton. Leighton felt slighted by supermega and was looking for an opportunity to take them out. He conspired with Nick and Ethan to create some major drama in order to eliminate supermega whilst also proving to everyone that NickisnotLex. But he is Lex. “Lex” makes allegations, Leighton lays it on too, and then Nick comes in to defend “Lex” (himself)
Viola, now Nick and Ethan can be together, Supermega is defeated, Leighton gets his revenge, and Ethan can lie to himself and not accept his own gayness.
This is a fun fanfiction, but it leaves out one person in this entire situation being Don.

They meet up and of course Don wants to have some fun, but Nick doesn’t want to blow Don. He only wants Ethan’s pale chubby wiener. So Don is the perfect fall guy, as he’s intertwined with Supermega.

For people who have no job I’ll explain that even overhearing a couple of coworkers talking about someone OTHER THAN YOU inappropriately, that can be deemed sexual harassment just by you taking offense to comments that have nothing to do with you. You can also “harass” someone if for example, you’re dating a coworker and a third party finds your workplace flirting to be uncomfortable, that can be deemed harassment. Another example is if you’re sharing a raunchy meme with a coworker during lunch and a third party sees it and takes offense. It’s also not uncommon for a company to reeducate their employees on a subject when employees violate certain policy or when employees repeatedly fail on some aspect of their performance.
From experience I can agree with this. I had a colleague say some inappropriate stuff completely unprompted with no prior flirting to me in private, add on top PTSD from SA and I was extremely distressed. Because it was vague and I didn't want to deal with HR especially as it was so minor. I told him when I was safe and calmer how that was extremely inappropriate, I don't want to be physical or intimate with him, he made me extremely uncomfortable and to never speak to me unless it's work related. Fixed the situation. We work together just fine, there was no drama and he's respected my boundaries as well as given me space the rare times I'm in the office.

Tom did good. idk why some people are giving him a hard time. i was in the DGG chat when he was explaining all this initially and i had no idea, 0 clue of what was going on.. Tom gave a nice "bait" with his telling.. and there was noway Destiny was going to put his neck/reputation out without doing more than just nicks cringe video and cite more sources as questions rose up.
If Tom had been there the whole time, there'd have been an argument from Nick/Lexs side that Destiny was being essentially fed stuff out of context. Destiny going in moreso blind doing his own commentary/reaction and research using other sources that chat would either link him, or something he'd ask for makes his take more level headed/unbiased to make a channel video using directly his own 3 hr research after Tom gave him the tl;dr.
However, i do agree that i liked Tom reaching out to D for his opinion and hope he'll do it more in the future.

I’m very glad this all happened and in the end put more eyes on how much of a snake Nick and his little circle of merry mates is, and I loved seeing Destiny tear his videos apart over what was obviously just a hit piece. Not the first time Nick has done shit like this and I’m sure it won’t be the last, but hopefully next time even more people call him out on it, and his little friends too.
Tom also did a phenomenal job as well, I can’t forget to say that either, Tom killed it and he definitely deserves all the credit for starting this all off in the first place. Claps all around for everyone involved.
