      It's so silly, if xqcs message was to be taken so uncharitably why do we not give the same lens to the tweet by hasanabi? that gave the impression of a careless friend who abandons his duties to gamble, and he said he gave a lot of cop outs and qualifiers but if he could ignore everything about that in his own statement, then the same should be applied to his.

      I'm about to give you a really hot take. The internet should go back to the days between 2000 and 2010, when everyone engaged in constant, unrestrained bullying of one another and when using racial slurs was not taken seriously. In the long run, I believe this total unrestrained would be far better for online discourse and the online world than the current politically correct fake ass bullshit that everyone is trying to uphold. Give me back the previous era of the internet, when you could tell someone to kys, and people would wave their hands as if it was nothing. Total freedom of speech combined with almost no interference from large corporations unironically results in an internet world that is much more peaceful and enjoyable to be a part of.

    wish xqc understood and spoke english better. I see where the convo dips and it’s when he uses metaphors that help him understand but confuse others. When he said the thing about heavier rocks and scales instead of saying “this tips the scale” it threw the others off. Hasan doesn’t try to understand him and he talks forever and interrupts xqc a lot so it muddies the convo even more. When most people get into a heated debate, emotions flare up from confrontation. To make rational points, you have to internally manage the emotional blockage. To be successful in delivering your rational points, you need to respond quickly and understandably. It's SUPER HARD to do this without either being a little autistic/sociopathic or having very rigid and deeply explored core principles. Destiny probably has both of these things going for him plus years and years of experience of actively seeking out this kind of conflict. Basically every other streamer has no deeply understood value system that they can draw from naturally in debate. Most of them like xQc end up self-destructing at the emotional step and finish the debate feeling like they just couldn't say what they meant to.
      I hate the fucks in the online debatosphere as much as the next DGGer but I think we should make sure to not assume these streamers are being "weasily" or "avoiding the issue" out of malice. We're just accustomed to listening to the only person here that's actually equipped to have reasonable conversation about difficult topics.

Someone just needs to teach X how to talk lmfao and in a calm manner where it doesnt escalatae to screaming cuz logically he was right. Like Train said its not always about the intentions of a streamer its about the effect that it has. It took Poki like 5 mins to come on and appologize multiple times and still explain her reasoning in a decent way regardless of her PR voice or not. I still respect that ngl. Hasan is allergic to apologizing. I think he's got PTSD from apologising. He did the same thing with the JayExci situation.
      Situation: Hasan watched Jay's 45 minute video and left to make chicken nuggies for himself while Jays video played. He spoke for about 4 out of the 45 minutes and never paused the video. He kept the title and channel name hidden for the entirety of the video except the brief moments that his cursor moved over the video. At the last 3 minutes Jay was advertising his channel and suggesting other videos and as soon as Jay did this Hasan lightspeed closed the tab and started watching another video.
      Jay found out and said don't just watch my videos without adding anything to them or if you do please just give me credit and suggest that if your viewers liked the video they can go the channel name.
      Option 1: Hasan can apologise and say in the future he won't watch the videos or if he does he will make sure to advertise the channel content at the end.
      Option 2: Hasan can say he won't watch any videos then if the creator is too stupid to understand that him watching their entire video and not giving any credit is actually great exposure. Then after Jay makes a video explaining the entire situation and suggesting what Hasan can do, Hasan will call him a Nazi live on stream to thousands of people.
      Take a guess which option our racist dude-bro picked.

    That said, once Destiny started essentially proxy debating for him, and then Hasan started getting so fkn mad, that was the best content, I was dying. All xQc needed was a little help, and he started to turn it around so hard and fast that it began making Hasan mald.
    Then, when Adrianah and Train entered, Hasan pretty much HAD to sit there silently and just take all the hits. Which made it EVEN better.

    I'm gonna be honest Train sounds like the only person who has had to deal with this stuff in real life. Besides Destiny. Like to actually help a victim of SA that was not in theory lol. Everyone else is working off textbook cases which cover about 0% of real world situations lol. It shows when people who have never undergone the hardships they are saying they know the proper ways to get through and it shows glaringly lol

    Destiny, you talk about how Poki is soft-spoken and how this shouldn't annoy people since a soft-spoken argument in a heated situation can be more constructive than the more aggressive discourse we see a lot during debates these days.
    Personally my problem is not with Poki being soft-spoken, my problem is with Poki being in 100% damage control mode and trying to spin accusations away from Miz. Train, as well as Adrianah herself have stated that Miz sent Maya over to what comes down to 'take control of the narrative'. They haven't provided proof for that, at least not yet, although there is at least some proof out there of Miz playing things down with very vicious statements and Train has mentioned in last nights stream that such evidence exists.
    My problem here is not with the way Poki speaks, my problem is that she is trying to manipulate things in a way that look like Slick is the only one who has done anything wrong here. She constantly presents this as an "either or"-scenario between Slick and Miz ("I wasn't sure if you were accusing Miz or Slick") and then puts Slick more and more into focus, trying to pull Miz out of the fire by agreeing that, oh yes, it was Slick. Which in the "either or"-narrative she is trying to push would mean that Slick is guilty and Miz is innocent.
    But if we are to believe Train and Adrianah - and considering that so far they have proven their main accusation and judging from the fallout, the connected accusations against Miz and Maya also have a lot of weight to them, even without clear evidence so far - then Miz and Maya went so far with this cover-up that it can be considered its own form of abuse.
    Now, I don't know if Poki was part of the five(?) hour long crisis phone call, but if she knows all the details or not, Adrianah is a very credible victim and by trying to spin it that way, Poki is actively trying to sweep her testimony under the rug.

      1000x this. This is such a content black hole. We haven’t had normal content for so long it seems. Everyone is so sucked into the drama and their personal vendettas that we’ve come to using SA (that the victim didn’t want to get heat over) as “nukes” and to morally grandstand. Every single fucking streamer makes it so apparent they don’t give a fuck about the victim but they are happy to sling shit at each other for big drama content.
      Streaming has been so fucked.

During the call it went from finding out the truth about if Miz was trying to manipulate Adriannah into changing her story to Train and Miz arguing about their personal beef and personal drama. It always go backs to them because in all honesty they really only care about themselves.

    I think when you talk abou the gusano stuff, it might be better to compare it to calling Hispanic people “Pablo” when you don’t know their name, or when you’re trying to insult them. Does it actually mean anything harmful on its own? Doesn’t matter - the point is you’re using somebody’s perceived race or ethnicity as the basis for using the insult.

    • @matsab7930
      @matsab7930 2 роки тому

      I mean gusano does mean something insulting. It’s an insult used for a specific race/ group/ ethnicity of people; it is racist by every definition of the word. How this is even a discussion twitch is utterly baffling to me, and how these lefties have gaslit their entire audiences into believing a slur based upon the ethnicity of a person is not racist is truly beyond me.

    • @zirene5237
      @zirene5237 2 роки тому

      I'd guess it's because the cultural baggage associated with gusano is all from Cuba to describe counter-revolutionaries where a lot of slurs that tend to offend Americans have etymological roots in America.
      My only reference is my Italian family was never offended by dago, it's even been "reclaimed" in some way. WOP and Guinea was a bridge too far. (tbf I doubt anyone uses or is offended by those slurs anymore though)
