When I eventually did, I immediately felt like Destiny was expressing sentiments I'd been struggling to wrap my head around for years and I felt right at home politically for the first time. Hassant's viewpoint is:
If it benefits me, it's good. If it doesn't, it's bad.
Most leftists have this simple framework. Additionally, you can see how hassan projects that framework on other people, basing intelligent/moral decisions on whether or not the person benefits from it.
Example being: "why are you against affirmative action if you directly benefitted from it?"
Hassan (and people with this affliction) can't explore ideas to any degree of depth because they are incapable of removing themselves & their values from the equation (or applying other hypothetical values)

    • @youtubeviolatedme7123

Unfortunately, this mindset is very palatable to the general public. It usually capitalizes on people's inclinations to use anecdotal evidence to form and support a biased prescriptive political stance, because intellectual honesty means having basic media literacy, and most people don't have time to do their own research or critically challenge the premises of their own argument.
And the worst part is that it's so unbearably tedious to debunk anecdotal evidence, because you have to essentially teach someone about the abstract concept of bias, and most people aren't patient enough to let you explain yourself completely when you're attacking their worldview.

And he would pay taxes so high, he couldn't effort his lavish life style anyway. Obviously he is hypocritical when it comes to this stuff but also his take on streaming stolen content is just to protect himself cuz he is so on the noise with that one. Whenever he would defend XQC he was actually defending himself. There is the 'it benefits me' part. But yeah he would throw any black person under the bus just to get the best end out for himself. That's why when the group he is supposedly trying to protect comes for his ass he just goes 'you don't know what's best for you'. X.x

Right, typically, the defense of something or even the accusation of others is also subject to this rule.
Defending a behavior because you are guilty of it, additionally projecting a behavior because you're guilty of it.
People with this issue are incapable of empathy; unable to use any hypothetical viewpoint other than their own. They can't even empathize with their future/past self, since they're unable to escape their mentality based on the here&now
I wish there was a term for it. It's very much like aphantasia. But instead of inability to create mental pictures, they're unable to recontectulize / reframe concepts outside of themselves.

      @FootLooseAngel Рік тому

It's a default mentality that you grow out of.
Kids are forced to operate in this way until 11-13 yo, then they have all of their teens and early 20's to solidify their belief system & see if it's compatible with the world/society.
Social media allows people to avoid the necessary confrontations that challenge their beliefs, so they enter into adulthood with underdeveloped, childish framing.
There may be an IQ element to it as well, but for now, it's important to identify the mindset as a core pattern of leftist belief systems.
The only consistency in how they operate is how it benefits them in the moment, & this mindset explains that perfectly imo.
I've met right wingers that have the same issue, so it's not just on the left (but I see it far more on the left than the right)

He no longer wants to debate people at all because he's "above that," not because he's afraid of looking bad in them. Edit: having watched more Destiny, I denounce much of what I said below. Destiny is 100% spot on regarding Hasan and Vaush.
Surely I'm not the only person who is capable of watching all 3 of you guys without my brain exploding?
Hasan reacting to Destiny's content is how I discovered him and the reason I became a fan of Destiny, albeit cautiously at first. If it's not specifically about some bullshit drama, 60% of the video is usually Hasan agreeing with him, 39.9% distracted or yelling at his chat for various reasons, .1% taking a piss.
Vaush agrees with Destiny and Hasan even more often, but probably because he's properly medicated and can focus on the whole video.
Destiny doesn't seem as charitable but is more analytical so will ultimately concede something without much ego in the way.
All 3 have their shitty takes or blindspots, but are more often entertaining and insightful. I really don't see the incompatibility if you're capable of distinguishing between these moments and don't just mindlessly consume everything any one person says.
I don't know all of the lore behind the drama, not really interested, but it's apparent a lot of Cornflakes got shat in at some point despite it seeming like there was a lot of respect for each other once upon a time. Now they're just lost in the caricatures they've made of each other.

I have to disagree with equating the 3 of them creating delusional caricatures of each other. As shown, Destiny will agree with them, without poisoning the well. Most of his criticisms of Hasan are all backed up with sound reasoning and receipts. When he criticizes them, it's in response to something they do/say, not before they do/say it. It's way worse to avoid mentioning someone, unless to falsely accuse him and his community of hate raiding/mass reporting, than it is to show full context of someone's positions and disagree with them. The "caricature" of Hasan and Vaush are actually accurate. You could see how much more honest he is about them from this video itself.

I think the biggest problem with welfare, or people trying to come out of it (having baby daddy live in the house, combining incomes into a functional family unit) is you run into the same problem with getting people off unemployment. If unemployment or welfare gives me x amount of money a month, but by getting a job (40/hr work week) I earn x + 1, most people will view the work they are doing as only worth the 1 in that equation. Using the COVID unemployment bonus ($600/wk, basically a 15/hr 40hr work week) if I go out and find a job for $17/hr, I can rationalize my work as actually being only $2/hr for my time of 40 hours a week. Once this structure is put in place, it's hard to escape it mentally, even if you are incrementally improving your financial situation.

He says rent is for just a place to live... well I'm paying less and it's a place I get to live. I've had my heat go out, my AC go out, sewage problems, garage door problems, and just about every other thing that could go wrong has. I'm still paying way less. I pay 1020 (including tax and insurance) a month. I bought a 160,000 dollar house. Not huge, but way bigger than anywhere I've ever rented. The last place I rented was absolute poverty conditions and it was 900 with way more expensive utilities. Obviously my experience is just one anecdote, but this is the experience for A LOT of people. I have more space, freedom, my car is safe from break ins, I can have roommates and get the full upside to that money they are paying me, and the upside that the money I'm playing for a place to live can eventually come back to me (to a lesser degree). I've been able to save so much more money now that I own a house. I have a safety net to help for when stuff goes wrong, and for the first time in my life, I've been able to take REAL vacations.
Housing is not a good investment if your only goal is to build money... he's right about that. The reason we do it is because we already need a place to live and our entire paychecks were going toward rent. I'm a proud morgoid

Destiny was sort of wrong on what Hasan believed about affirmative action. In hasans world view people are actively not allowing most black students in because they are black and affirmative action is just a reversal of that policy. Destiny understands affirmative action for what it really is and assumes hasan does to which is where he misunderstood hasan.

Yea aside from Isreal I pretty much disagree with 80% of destiny’s view points, but it’s really good to be able to listen to someone on the other side who’s well thought out, well researched and genuine. He’s one of the few I actually enjoy listening to yet disagree with and that has been invaluable 🤘

I started as a h3h3 fan, then found out about hasan, then destiny. I saw some of the highly emotional unhinged side of destiny at first, but over time i saw more of his content and he won me over with his excellent logical consistency 👏. He's also become more mature over time imo so that helps too.
