Everyday Astronaut - Twitter King for Elon replies!!!
I swear he is his Twitter BFF! Legend.
Elon is an everyday astronaut fanboy
Yep, he gets the most replies for sure!
This was one of the best podcasts ever. Tim and Austin (and all of you) are so inspiring to listen to. Your enthusiasm is infectious. This is the beginning of history, and we really are lucky to be a part of it. Let's enjoy it as much as possible.
Daniel Zajic thanks! Wente happy you enjoyed it 😀
1:11:30 That was profound Austin. You caught me off guard. Some deep and aspiration thoughts also after that again. Tim, thank you for your passion and diligence to research and share.
I had tears in my eyes. It is like we are witnessing all the step that led to the discovery of America and all the good that came with it. Or better said all the step that led to the creation of Starfleet and the colonisation of the Galaxy. The first contact need to involve pointy ears
BofA is stupid, Tesla already improved it’s efficiently on building at a lower cost, at the same time the other automakers made 0 change. Another claim they made was lower demand, well (1) Tesla is the only automaker you can fully buy online. They are NOT affected by the virus when it comes to sales OR deliveries of finished vehicles. (2) they have $8.5 Billion in... they have more money than any automaker to shut down All factories for a year and still not go bankrupt... (3) Tesla is already ahead on the EV market and gas’s will go back up.. so what’s gonna happen when all of the other automakers put a stop to their EV transition? They will lag even further behind! And when gas goes back up to $3-4-5 a gallon (because they keep producing it and as soon as people go back to work the demand for oil will spike sending the prices to the sky) Tesla will come out ahead. (4) Tesla is cheaper over 5 years than any car of the same price due to almost 0 maintenance costs, which makes it the smarter value purchase aside from the fact that you don’t get scammed by dealers, everyone pays the same price at the website.! 😅
Austin is so quietly patient. Such a pure soul
100%! We love Austin
Time de primeira ✍️✍️🤨😉😘💗🇧🇷🫂🤳🙏
Great episode guys, love seeing younger people like Austin getting psyched about space exploration.
This one's for Tim! The pollution video is in my watch later for when I can squeeze 1h of free personal time to watch it, not forgetting it, I LOOOOVE your stuff!
always amazed by tim, literally slipped into all of this and now he's explaining everything so naturally and easy for people to understand. really inspirational.
“Let’s drive our cybertucks to watch the space ship launch”.......YES
Tim & Gali: Identical twins seperated at birth finally reunited xD
Stop reading my mind!!!! :-/
Dude!😳💯
lol
one for tesla & one for spacex
HyperChange somewhere out there is a nuralink and boring co version of you guys too
Sof, K10, Viv, Gali, thanks for keeping this going. Also, you all do a great job allowing your guests to answer without interrupting them.
Thanks so much P.T! We like to show our guests respect and value their contributions. Glad you're enjoying our podcast :)
Everyday Astronaut: “ potential possibility ”
I : ” Norminal ! ” 😄
I seriously have goosebumps in this vid! I am just so happy about this channelllll !!!!
11:50
Wow.... Everything kinda was for mars.
That hit me hard. (Like a my mind was blown)
Really love how you are bringing those passionate about sharing the exciting world of SpaceX and Tesla together in this video! Being following SpaceX progress with many around the world and EverydayAstronaut Tim and SuperPositive Austin have naturally being among the great group of people who I have been enjoying witnessing it through there lens literally and metaphorically! :) And ye guys & gals of Third Row have done the same for being able to witness the excitement of Tesla through your lens! Loved the chat here where ye shoot the breeze about it all at a nice point in time - just before both SpaceX and Tesla are looking all set to make big leaps forward in the year to come!
Thank you! Super happy to share with you and our supporters.
The coolest thing in my view is; space x rocket ramp-up, space x took 18year to archive ~80 rocket. And now planning 100 spaceship a year. it's model 3 style ramp-up! Betting the entire company on it, going from a 3billion max delivery to space business to a 30+billion in internet provider.
Austin, "If Matt Damon can do it, I can do it! 💪
Great insight, intellect and conversation. Brilliantly put together. Much respect.
Pera Hauraki thanks!😊
Perhaps it's a testimony to film producers, it's so realistic that those who doubt our space program. Is because some can't tell the real from fiction. Whare I live some absolutely don't believe we've been to space or have a space program. I'm old enough to have watched the Glen launch, Sputnik, Apollo watched the moon walk on TV live. I remember seeing my first Commerical Jet 1959. My first flight from Oakland to Denver DC9 landed in Reno&Salt lake. They rolled a bowl of punch down the aisle. On the runway the plane was on an angle, big wheels up fron little wheel in the back. I was 4 or 5 years old 1957/8 Cheers
dhincks1 welcome to the 🎊! Thanks for sharing your story and joining in the fun.
Thanks for the video :) love everyday astronaut :) but too bad you guys did not talk much about the relationship between the 2 companies, the structure difference (or similarities) and the tech crossover between the 2. But I still love the interview and your enthusiasm and energy. Looking forward to the next episode for sure :) thanks again
You're welcome and thanks for your feedback. Would have loved to talk more about that too. There's never enough time. we'll have him back!
Love this! Thank you so much! I watch all the 'Third Row' podcasts! (if I may - and apologies in advance - but fewer "likes," please? Someone out here just might care about that...)
omg yes... they say 'like' so much! love the rest though.
Thanks for your love and support. Will try to do better with less filler words, but focus is always on the real content that means something. Hope you understand and accept this.
Great show 3rd Row. I've been a huge fan of Tim Todd. Nice to meet Austin. Can you get Stephen Patranek on the podcast? If you don't know him, then check out his 2015 TED talk called "Your kids might live on Mars. Here's how they'll survive."
Blew my mind when you all talked about the Cyber Truck being a pressurized cab, read for Mars.
Now I can imagine how mars colonization will look like:
Elon: created colony on mars
Other countries: also got to Mars
Elon: get off my lawn!
My fav episode!! thank you guys for great mood!! 😀😍🥰
you're welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. Viv will have her own country lol
Great podcast! You guys sure have been getting some big names on lately Elon Musk, Sandy Monroe, Tim Dodd, and Austin Barnard I can't wait to see who you can get next 😉 Keep up the great work.
m3Tesla isn’t that so true! They got all the superstars for nerds :)
Tim!!!!!
Pumped for this episode!
I love you guys. Just discovered your group a few days ago. Just a note about rocket pollution, Elon talked about a solar farm that would extract CO2 from the air to manufacture methane for Starship. When Starship launches it burns the methane, but it is CO2 neutral. No pollution. Live long and prosper indeed!
Part of me wants to bring this to Chicago. We don't get discussions like these about the future of innovation, and I'm guessing it's because we're kind of disconnected from all of these events geographically. Maybe I'm wrong (so if anyone can tell me otherwise it would be much appreciated) but I definitely want to spread the word about the big changes SpaceX and Tesla are making and possibly many other groups as well.
The original space program is how miniaturization happened. Weight matters when going into space. Can you imagine how things would be if we still used transistors instead of solid-state?
The hack club got better questions lmao
Like always guys awesome podcast!!! Think about inviting Lex Fridman. I feel like that would be awesome discussion.
Thanks! we'd love to have Lex on
Best Episode ever, thank you!
You're welcome! Our pleasure! :)
I love your videos but I really need to install a "like" filter on my browser...
thanks! will try to do better, but authentic content is our focus.
@@ThirdRowTesla Great show but agree with Milton Miller on the "like" filter. It would be so much more enjoyable.
what
What a marvelous session. Thank you so very much guys. I love following you and have watched all of your episodes. Looking forward for many more!
The only way we are going to save the earth is to get off of it! I am up for the ride. I’ll cover the psychiatric and medical end. We should have a National Tesla rally when Starship goes up! Another thing I’ve noticed in all this is that I have not once heard anyone mention Kim Stanley Robinson’s Red Mars series. Last time I read it was like 23/24 years ago, and have a rough memory of it. This is exactly what we’re going for.
Difficult to say which is your best but this was mind splitting! Loved the discussion and I’m with you on all the excitement that you are helping to generate in the space industry! I hop out of bed in the morning anxious to hear what’s on your docket!
20 billion dollar analogy by Tim was awesome. Hit the Bullseye of sceptics. 😅
Listening to this brings home once again that we have done a great disservice to our generation and those coming next to have not invested properly in education, especially in math and science.
The things I studied in JHS are things people still haven't studied or know about that have college degrees.
How sad that we would rather sponsor sports (notice how much effort we are putting into getting sports back on line during this lock down), but we willing drag our feet on science projects and programs. Guess which one benefits our lives more.
General ignorance and fear is rampant then add in the complication of having an open platform to be proudly and loudly misinformed.
Being a nerd is only slightly cooler today compared to being a, "sports hero, singer, etc". We have Elon as a role model for how awesome and cool being smart is... and I KNOW there are many more great minds out there (many of them working with him) that we should honor them like we do our "idols".
D R-K great comments 👍🏽
Amen!
Jeez I love Tim Dodd. Such a great communicator.
this podcast is underated
The content is always so on point guys!
Thanks! not sure how we pulled that off lol
Tim, since you asked: Yes, I watched your vid on how much rockets pollute. Learned a lot. But truthfully, I don't think the yield was a good return on the amount of time you expended. You got deep into the asymptotic curve of how much further value was obtained for time spent. I know you get fascinated by the deep dives, but would like to see more frequent vids so we can see you cover more topics/stories.
Man, that Dodd guy can talk.. I think he has been talking for 90% of the time! But nice though, really enjoyed it!
That's what we wanted which is awesome. he's our guest
Good stuff. This was a super interesting episode.
This podcast has really grown on me. You have an amazing set of guests and the video quality is so crisp (well for most of the participants). The editing is also on point. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy it. We had some tech issues this time, but each episode helps refine the process.
A lot of “space law” is based on international maritime law.
Another great episode! 👍
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Please get 'SOLVING THE MONEY PROBLEM' on this
will consider
For answers on Mars terraforming, watch Isaac Arthur (SFIA) on UA-cam...better yet, invite him to talk about batteries and rockets :)
thanks for the suggestion. Will look into it
Great suggestion
Much Respect from Montreal, Canada. I really enjoy your pod cast's ! Please keep doing what you do, your information and discussion are 'the light at the end of a tunnel.'
Messy L Glad you enjoy them and thanks for your support! ♥️
Great Job,Third Row..
Colonizing Mars is like the wild, wild west in days of old. Hey, that could be a novel. Probably already done.
Thanks guys, was awesome!
Imagine being the first child born on Mars? The first true Martian. Likely will be some kind of royalty.
Petition to call the Prince/Princess. That would be awesome
The question of when someone lands on Mars really is a fascinating one right now. So much uncertainty still remains as Tim says with many milestones to be reached successfully on the way. But as Austin so passionately gets across there is so much pace to development in Boca Chica that its definitely making one wonder just what Elon Musk & SpaceX might be capable of pulling off.
My feeling is the answer may lie somewhere between both perspectives in the end. I do think the work required to get to the first manned Starship could be understood by looking at the level of effort and time it took to get to this point with Crew Dragon. Lives may well be lost in the effort to get to Mars but in this day and age you have got to show you have done everything humanly possible to reduce that risk. Hopefully though that experience with Crew Dragon safety margins will inform SpaceX Starship to shorten the time needed to get to human rated flights!
On the other hand I think Starship cargo and fuel variants development will be supercharged & I share Austin's super positive outlook on when one may get to Mars. I think Elon Musk is super focused on achieving that capability within timeframe most others would feel unrealistic. There seems also to be a real confidence within Elon Musk himself and SpaceX that the design is on right track now and orbital Starship tests are going to be happening this year! In my mind if that happens and is successful I can see Elon making a real run at a 2023/2024 window for first flight test to Mars. It will be incredible if he does pull that off, and I personally wouldn't bet against him or SpaceX - if anything it may be economic/outside factors due to Pandemic etc that could unfortunately be reasons more likely to put spanner in the works of that ambitious timeline.
So a lot of uncertainty but also it's a certainty Elon Musk is going all in! :)
it will take passionate people to make the journey real. It is a fascinating :)
hahaha just happy to see your faces !
Fantastic work guys!!
Thanks so much!
I wish I could meet all of you and Elon.
36:00 If I have to become a FlatEarther just so that Tim takes me to space I will.
43:00 Of course i have watched the pollution video, but i told you that it wont get big that big Tim. Also I don't think many people are concerned about how much rockets pollute compared to the airspace industry but compared to what they achieve.
Kristen: "Boom" 👌❤
They need to have a bumper sticker on the Mars ready Cybertruck, “Cash, Grass or Astronaut. Anybody rides for fee.” ...
*free lol
Look into how Iceland re-wrote their constitution. It can be done here, but it is VERY hard.
cool. thanks! would be easier to start from scratch for mars
Seeing 😊 happiness in you, always.
Only sense "love" in you. After Elon came out for us, for the world, you guys are the bonus to me.
You're the best! Sharing our happiness with you. Thank you!
This is great. Third Row is something special. Thank you:)
Diarmuid Phelan you’re welcome! We love our community♥️
Thank you. This was awesome.
Sherri Vonch you’re welcome!
This might be awkward but I luv you all. 🖖
The international space treaty allows for individuals and companies to do whatever in space. For the magnetosphere the likely barrier will be a fold out satellite sitting in the Lagrange point of Mars.
Louix Griego cool thanks!
Planetary Diversification. I love it!
Everything is figureoutable.
Nice one!
Thanks!
I really really enjoyed this, thank you all.
One suggestion to several of you on how you could come across a bit better, try working on that habit of saying "like" all the time, it's kinda jarring at times.
I'll be picking up my own damn OK boomer or OK Karen myself on the way out..
Glad you enjoyed it. Our podcasts are discussions with friends, and the filler words are part of the authenticity. We aren't polished speakers, but we always try to do better for our listeners. Thanks for your feedback.
I'm afraid death in the space industry pushes the technology further. If the 3 astronauts that died during the Apollo program hadn't died, ( Grissom, Chaffee, White) we almost certainly wouldn't have gotten to the moon. That tragedy made the engineers fix a lot of problems.
sad but true
Viv with the wine like a true European lol
Truly inspiring! I loved this show.
Fun as ever. Thank you all!
Samuel Flores Sanchez you’re welcome! Glad you had fun too 😀
Colonising Mars may be similar to what happened with Antarctica
Cool stuff
first come first claim or be the first lawyer on mars
Tim in da house!!
10K and Viv are looking good in this podcast
With Elon showing the way, we should see things picking up pretty fast. I say that because once Roger Bannister showed the four-minute mile is possible, suddenly a lot of people broke four minutes. Even high school runners. That being the case, if it works for us after Elon showing the way, the future is bright.
Well, if you're gonna spend 8 months on a rocket to Mars, you could do worse than be locked up with these guys 👍🚀
moon, mars &Earth all need maned space stations
Living on Mars is equivalent to pioneers in early America. Only much better because of technology.
We will terraform Mars by making its moon bigger, directing debris towards it. Cities will be in the canyons and underground.
Norminal Tim!
I'd love to see a time when the Third Row Tesla has a first transmission from Mars.
Next time you interview Elon, could you do a segment on " that is definitely the wrong way to do it". If Elon agrees, he would be talking about things he has done in the past and elaborates on why they were the wrong approach.
1:16:20 Every one of Tim's videos.
Jimmy Jones 😂
SN4 doing good in tests so far! Rate of progress is super fast for SpaceX and TESLA...
yes! exactly :)
The time-line you first mentioned regarding possible humans going to Mars included, I believe, NASA participation or involvement along with SpaceX (hence all the super-critical checks and double checks and triple checks). But if SpaceX pursues Mars exploration more on its own dime, and at its own risk, so to speak, then possibly the timeline might be able to be pushed ahead sooner than it otherwise might be?
The cell phone camera was developed by NASA NEEDS more money!!!!!!!!
@Tim: No, that video didn't flop. I left you a new comment there, with evidence. :P
Sh*t...thought Gal was the guy in the top left corner at first
Tim Dodd and Gali should dress as each other for Halloween. Would be so easy.
Serendipity. You don’t hear that word too often anymore!
Sof's model 3 is named Serendipity
Third Row Tesla ah cool, I didn’t know that! Neat.
So exciting.
I watched pollution vid on rockets tim and it was great
Another 1
