Thank you 👍 Dr.Joe for sharing health tips. I eat and agree with all the foods you advertised. Except for the mushroom powder. Don't recall seeing it anywhere.❤ Your advice Thanks 👍 again.
Thanks Dr. Joe, I have salmon twice a week and beef twice a week. I avoid dairy. I do take a supplement of Vitamin K2 + D3. It contains 5,000 IUs of vitamin D3 and 90 mcg of K2. I look forward to your next video. Have a great day!
I just had my yearly physical. After viewing this video, I checked my lab reports. My vitamin D level currently is “91”. As always, thank you Dr. Joe. (Daryl) 😊
Dr. Joe. My lab results showed I'm severely vitamin d deficient. My results were 16.6. My doctor put me on a prescription vitamin D3 to be taken once a week. What else should I be doing to raise my deficiency? I consume mostly salmon, fish chicken. I don't eat much red meats. I do take BP meds. I live in SC so even winter months we still get sun.
Get more sun exposure (20 minutes if you are white-skinned per exposure session and 45 minutes if you are dark-skinned), seeing as you live in a sunny environment
I eat salmon, sardines, eggs, mackerel, cheese, some tuna and I drink Almond milk. I also take Vitamin D 3. I spend time outdoors walking short distances and I’m in the garden 1- 2 days per week.
@@bernpil4148 Are you taking high enough dose? You may need to change the brand. There are scam vitamin supplements about, FYI. Have a handful of nuts when you take your vitamin D supplement or a teaspoon of olive oil or have an avocado. Point being you need a little bit of fat to help with absorption
It depends on where you live. Different Health Authorities recommend different requirements but it tends to vary between 400 IU to 800 IU daily. Some of us think it should be at least 2000 IU daily
Wow no wonder I feel amazing in the summer and awful in the winter. I am in Massachusetts and winters are hard. My levels were 13 and I got it up to 20 and it’s finally at 35. I would like for it to be a bit more but my doc says 35 is not deficient. I was vegan and I will never do that again. Did not work well for me.
It's difficult to give you advice when I don't have a full picture. Log every food you eat for about 3 weeks and you'll see where you are going wrong just by looking at it and analysing it
First: You must get a blood test to determine your level of D3. Second: You must determine which test they're using and the corresponding scores for that test. Third: You must take an adequate level of K2 MK7 to drive the calcium into the bones. It doesn't take a lot. That's why you never want the D3 and K2 MK7 in the same pill, because you may quickly need to change your level to deal temporarily with an illness. Fourth: You have to plow through the many widely different opinions to decide what is right for you. Fifth: You should check to make sure there is not an illness that makes taking D3 inappropriate for you. This is rare, but does occur.
The body can be detoxified of mercury by supplementing selenium. Brazil nuts are very high in selenium. however it is advised not to eat more than two nuts a day.

Vitamin D3

Inflammation in the small bowel may negatively impact absorption

Dr Joe is Soya milk powder a good source of vitamin D
Yes, if it is fortified with vitamin D. Read the label. But don't rely on food only as your main source of vitamin D

How much IU is the daily requirement of a person?
Health authorities recommend 400 - 800 IU per day but some of us think it should be 2000 IU per day. You can stick with the authorities if you like
