At 76 I can’t help but reflect on how different my life would have been with this knowledge. I hope young people are sitting up and paying very close attention. I have lived with all of these symptoms my whole life and it wasn’t fun. Thank you Dr. Berg. At least I have a better understanding of unseen influences that were directing my development and choices. 🇨🇦❤️

I have recently watched all of your vitamin D videos. I have suffered from so many of the symptoms of a deficiency. I have seen many doctors- none of whom suggested trying adding vitamin D.
Well, I got your vitamin D just a few weeks ago. The first day I took it I felt a little better. It’s been 2 weeks now and I feel like a new person! I am sleeping well! My joint aches and pains are gone. My mind is not foggy. My deep bone pains disappeared. My tinnitus has toned down. Not gone , but much quieter. So many more things, I am truly amazed. Thank you! ❤❤❤

My father has restless leg issues and is hunched over now. He takes Vit D but since the drs didn’t say to take a higher dose. He lives on carbs and doesn’t see a problem. At 89, he wont change, I’ve tried. My mom had AFib and instead of trying addl vit D, her Dr. suggested surgery to put in a Watchman and of course she went with it. I appreciate all of your information Dr. Berg.

I currently started taking 5,000 iu vitamin d3 with 100 mg of k2 and 360 mg 2x a day of Magensium Glycinate. I tried to increase to 10,000 iu and it gave me extreme anxiety so I went back down to 5,000 iu. I'm wondering why that is. I have been dealing with long COVID for a year.

Try starting with a lower dose and titrate up gradually.
I had to start with children's liquid D3 just 1000 IU for a week. Then I doubled that to 2000 IUs for a couple weeks and then I jumped up to a vegan D3 5000 IUs in coconut oil. From there I am now able to take 30,000 IU ! No anxiety, no negative side effects at all.
I discovered I react really badly to supplement forms of K2. I tried but now I just use a bioactive water based d3 by Biotech and I intentionally incorporate high vit K foods daily. I do grassfed butter, sauerkraut, goat cheeses, free range egg yolks, beef liver are my go-tos.😊

@@myjourney703 : It does, but not everybody makes vitamin D in their skin equally. So, a redhead (with very light skin) has fewer layers of skin to contain melanin, and less melanin in each layer,so that the sunlight’s uv rays penetrate more easily and more vitamin D is made in a shorter amount of time. Her best friend goes outside and spends as much time doing the same activities with her, with darker skin tends to have more layers of skin, and each layer has more pigment in it, which filters out the sunlight. So unlike her redheaded body, the dark skinned friend makes far less vitamin D, but for her there’s an upside to the darker skin leading less uv in: She’s far less likely to end up with malignant melanoma.
So the redheaded buddy ends up having to wear more sunscreen, and the dark skinned friend could benefit from vitamin D3 supplements.
That’s important to know, especially if you have very dark skin.

Years ago I had Vitamin D deficiency where my levels were low 5. I was so sick that I was in and out of the emergency room for 6 months. I saw 20 different doctors that performed so many test trying to find out why I had so many severe symptoms all together. Every test came back negative except my Vitamin D level. Out of the 20 doctors that saw me only 1 doctor told me to take Vitamin D3. Once I started taking Vitamin D3 all of my symptoms were gone and my health improved. Vitamin D is a miracle hormone.

It's actually terrible because Dr Berg has got Vitamin D wrong completely here. Vitamin D deficiency is actually an indicator of a Magnesium deficiency. Taking more vitamin D will actually make the Magnesium deficiency worse so can't meaningfully increase vitamin D levels. It's Dr Berg's lack of understanding on this matter that has him recommending super doses of vitamin D but this could actually be damaging people's health. Most of the symptoms in the video are directly related to a Magnesium deficiency not a Vitamin D deficiency, it just seems like it's vitamin D because low magnesium causes low vitamin D. The fix is to first fix your magnesium deficiency. Any Vitamin D video that doesn't focus on Magnesium is potentially harmful and not in the interest of optimal health.

He had a kidney stone one inch in size but due to diet, it is the size of the tip of a pen. He lost 20 pounds by default, not trying. This is because we implemented much of what he taught and my research trying to understand what schizophrenics lack, Dr. Berg shows me where and how to get that vitamin, mineral, or whatever it is. I suffer from Graves disease and went on 5000IU's a day 1,5 years ago. After one month the depression let off and I had been depressed since the age of three! Then symptom after symptom let go and after 1,3 years I felt reborn! Never in my life had I felt so great so I took down the fose of vitamin D to 2000 a day since a doctor had told me my level on 214 was too high and dangerous. Bad move, I quickly went down again with fatigue and just days ago the depression came back although not as bad as before. I had bloodtests and despite all my symptoms of another graves episode, my thyroid levels were fine however my vitamin D levels had gone down to 119. A Dr👨‍⚕ advised me to take Magnesium, D3, Vitamin K2-MK7(100mcg for every 10,000iu D3) & B6-P5P(activated-pyridoxal-5-phosphate) at the same time. ➡One important function & benefit of Vitamin D3 is that it helps the body absorb Calcium which in turn plays a part in how the body absorbs Magnesium. The levels of Vitamin B6-P5P in the body determines how much Magnesium will be absorbed into the cells. Vitamin D3 ensures calcium is absorbed easily & Vitamin K2-MK7 activates the protein, osteocalcin, which integrates Calcium into bone. Without D3 & K2, Calcium can not do its job effectively. Vitamin K2-MK7 activates matrix GLA protein (MGP) to bind excess Calcium & promote arterial flow & flexibility. ➡D3 is fat soluble so the Dr said to take all these with a meal because they'll absorb better.....

All I know is that it mysteriously went away but I cannot put a timetable on taking D3 K2 and my symptoms disappearing. I wish I had documented this. I take 10,000 IU D3 and 260 mcg K2 dailey and have no more RLS so I'm happy. Was D3 the cause of my RLS? I have no idea but it does make sense now.

It's hard for me to believe you hadn't noticed the reduction in our products of this vitamin through the years with you being a doctor &/or scientist unless you haven't been this for very long.
How long have you been a doctor &/or scientist ?

Hi Dr Berg. Thank you for making this interesting and informative video. Myopia...hmm..I have been diagnosed with keratocornus which has made me myopic. If i think back i started becoming myopic once i moved from my native sunny all-year-round part of the world, to the Northern hemisphere and at the same time left high school where i played about 2 hours of sports a day in the afternoon sun, for university where i spent much less time indoors. Do you know if there is an association between keratocornus specifically and vitamin D3 deficiency? I would be interested to know whether there has been any improvements in cornea shape with vitamin d supplementation reported?

I just read Busting Breast Cancer by Susan Wadia-Ells, and she lists several studies that link low Vitamin D to breast cancer. Just adding to the list!

Me2, hv itched most of my life - mentioned it to drs, nothing. Turns out I have allergies to certain foods, who knew... bakery breads, spicy foods and aged blue cheeses. Been taking D for years , get out in the sun regularly, and started Cod Liver oil about 5 mos ago that I thought was helpful to my skin's overall look.

I had many of these sympyoms and eliminated most of them, NOT by having vit D, but by having high dose Active B6 / P5P, B5, B Complex and time relased vit C with Rutin+Quercetin.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm in the sun a lot, and my D was mid to low. I now switch monthly between 5000iu and 10,000iu because of Dr. Berg.

I'm not sure your levels but 1000iu is a drop in the bucket. I am a nurse, and my physicians order 50000iu as a weekly dose for usually 6 weeks and drop off to 2000 to 5000iu per day. I always say listen to your doctor, but they often get this one wrong.

Also what we need to keep in mind there are certain predicaments that make us absorb less of the D3 then the rest. Things like age, the older we get the less we absorb, being overweight, having darker skin as in absorption from the sun as dark skinned folks have natural protection but also absorb way less of the D3. All those will influence how much D3 we need. From what i read in these comments on D3 on YT people have this fear they are taking too much and end up not taking enough. Doctors are sometimes to blame as the medical industry sets very low guidelines of how much we need to take. 85+ levels are needed to fight any illness successfully. I have read books about just D3 vitamin and suggest for people to really inform themselves and don’t wait for your doctor to tell you as these doctors were not trained to prescribe vitamins. They go by the guidelines they were given which are super low. Don’t forget the big Pharma don’t want to see you healthy. The sooner you accept that the better for you.

Pam here…. I had weight loss surgery where I do not absorb the fat soluble vitatmins well. My heart developed bradycardia…in the 30’s when I slept. My vit d was undetectable in test. Was started on 50k units ASAP and it took 3 months to get it to the bottom of normal range. My resting heart rate went back to 70’s
