I think the ratings on the three core stats you gave for the Engie segment would’ve been nice to have for the other classes too. Great way to show how terrible Engie is in a single shot, but it’s good to have the data on everyone else too.
I always had an internal sorta tier list for a TF2 character's eligibility to be part of the smash roster. SSS tier- Demoman. S tier- Soldier, Pyro A tier- Heavy, Scout D tier- Spy F tier- Sniper, Engineer, Medic I had rationales for each tier but basically I reasoned with which characters could have a standard TF2 true-to-form inclusion in Smash what DIDN'T break any traditional smash rules. I rank Demoman as the clear winner cause of his sheer versatility, melee and ranged. He doesn't use a traditional "gun" so his character wouldn't be reliant on a gun which, despite a handful of appearances in smash, wouldn't seem to bode over well with the cast as a whole. Hell, he almost seems made for smash, there's a good number of possibilities with demoman's moveset, he could be a sword user with good range, a brawler with his bottle or a projectile spammer. He has easily the most options for a potential recovery between sticky jumping, shield charging, loose canon jumping etc. and I feel he'd be able to perfectly replicate the playstyle from TF2 into smash. Soldier and pyro are close, in all honesty, probably tied for second. Both don't use traditional guns as their primary, both have movement options and both have a variety of melee weapons which would give a smash dev LOTS of choice for their move kit. Both have obvious recovery option and a decent variety of weapons which keep true to form. I'd imagine some things would need changing, like Pyro's reliance on DoT, but both of them seem like solid choices. A tier, heavy and scout, while very different, I feel could work. Heavy is mostly cause he's iconic, despite the fact he doesn't seem like smash material, I could see them working around him. They'd likely want to limit his reliance on minigun-style weapons but he could probably keep it, even if guns aren't the game's forte. Scout I feel would be the actual better choice of the two, even if both of them would be heavily reliant on guns and buffs via drinks/lunchbox items and their melees being a bit more basic, both of them have some value. Spy is... Somehow not the worst choice. He has a gun and a knife, which would compliment his move set, but he's simply not a 1v1 character. His place is in a team-based game, spy wouldn't be able to keep most the things that are spy-like. Invis wouldn't really help, his disguise if kept true to game wouldn't accomplish anything and most his gimmicks like dead ringer just wouldn't work. Finally, F tier, the characters who I think would be detrimental to smash if in the game and kept true to form. Engineer, don't need to say much. Campy, linear, supposed to be a team player and I could see him being a poor choice. Completely reliant on guns and sentries, I could see him having cool gimmicks like metal and teleporters but just putting a sentry up, using a shotgun and using a teleporter? I'd hate to even try to fight him. Sniper, even more campy and linear without the cool things engineer has. He'd have to have a sniper or a bow and his kukri. He'd just be a projectile/range spammy character with high damage, low movement options and jarate. And Medic, I wanted to save the worst till last, Medic would simply be a godawful character. Syringe gun, no. Crossbow, no. MEDIGUN, NO. He'd be either the worst character in the game cause he's not made for offence or the best cause if you have him as a double's partner, he heals his teammate and gives them literal invincibility every few seconds. He's a supplement, maybe a character to add onto another character like if you wanted to make a soldier-medic or heavy-medic combo like the ice climbers where one does the damage and medic follows and heals, which would be a dope af concept, but under the assumption that these are stand alone characters, medic is the worst.

They should have made it so that pyro simply deals high dps with his flames, which set up for a bit knock back with his air blast. But no, let's just have his high tick rate flamethrower deal knock back every tick :)
Hey, I did get the Gen 1 Porygon bit! Porygon consistently counters Snorlax in Gen 1 OU, who is likely the top 2 pokémon in the game, which is amazing, and that's kind of the only thing he does in Gen 1 OU. So it's only valuable for that matchup... Everything else claps it.

Hey SpaceGuyOnline i was very happy to play with you, i was the DeW guy who was playing with you, ive always loved your videos and i hope you continue on your youtube career :)
engineer is like ice climbers, to make effective use of him, put down a sentry and than shoot people, don't just put down a sentry or just shoot people. using the wrangler is just like turning ice climbers into just nana, it defeats the whole purpose of the entire character, you wanna know what engineer does well? area denial. and he's much better at it than heavy is because sentry's have perfect aim(another reason *NOT* to use the wrangler) and more ammo. also he kinda counters pyro who is kinda an S tier.
The only issue with that is still how laughably weak the shotguns are and how extremely limited the sentries capabilities are. Area denial means very little in this game, especially for the sentry which is incapable of moving allowing it to be bery easily spammed out without any defense, even if someone walks into the sentry's zone, they'll only be knocked back out of it and not off stage or something, assuming they get knocked back at all simply due to how slow the sentry actually builds up percentage damage, even with you helping it along with a shotgun.
@@SpaceGuyOnline yes, but the spam thing is also true of normal TF2. also again, it counters pyro by constantly knocking him out of it's range. also maybe the sentry on it's own is underwhelming, or the engineer himself is underwhelming, but judging them individually is like judging the ice climbers individually, or judging Rosalina and luma individually, their a package deal. also engineer in smash fortress is more defensive than offensive, because his sentry allows him to just make an area of the map just his domain, where he has the advantage over anyone, this works better in enclosed or semi-enclosed spaces. I'm not saying he should be S tier, but countering an S tier should at least put him into C tier, not to mention he also somewhat counters medics self ubering due to the sentry's nonstop damage. also the sentry never misses, unlikely heavy
