Isn’t there a fourth type of boss called the Hit and Run? They’re the hardest of them all and get progressively faster in a chase along with obliterating entire groups in an instant, forcing people to go alone.
There's technically like 16 boss types but they all are more or less the same, they spot you and they chase you, for time constraints it's easier to just group them all together since they're all functionally the same.
Hit and Run bosses are not that difficult to outrun, you just gotta have quick reaction time and run away before they even initiate the chase sequence. You just gotta not look at them lol

But lets be honest this videos are one of the most unique in the entire community of tf2, keep it up the good content man!
Well holy shit, my friends are gonna be surprised by this one! That's the server I regularly go to and I know a couple of them in the video! Glad you came on by, hope you had fun!
Great video, my friend. I'm from Peru and I fondly remember playing this game mode (SF2). I was only 14 years old when I played it, and I spoke little English at that time, but I tried to communicate with different people on the servers. Watching your video made me nostalgic, but most importantly, I learned many things I didn't know, like the advantages each class has and so on. I'll go check if there's still any server active or not. Good luck with your next videos, take care!
Great video, it's really nice to see people still care about Slender Fortress in general. The points in the video seem pretty solid, although I want to make one honourable mention for the Soldier loadout. For Soldier, you can equip the MG (if you have one) for bosses that has a low base stun HP or is killable after a couple hits. You can crit them by jumping and timing your melee swings right, just like how you would do against real players in a match. However, this makes it really risky since not only are you sacrificing your stamina to run away, you are also providing a greater chance for the boss to catch up to you. Meaning that if you mess up the timing on your swings, you're as good as dead. Bosses like Reapers, Cazador, Kuszo, and Manduco Companions are great examples of killable bosses. Monsoon is the general exception since he's not killable, but can still be crit stunned. So as long as you have the timing, you can pretty much stun him over and over till you run out of stamina. And of course, it's only situational. So you might be better off with EP or DA if you're not great at timing your swings. Also, if you equip the Atomizer for the Scout and then spam your weapon taunt after the black screen fades away, you get some pretty funny results. This works with Boston Basher as well
Nah, Pyro is just overpowered or underpowered and no in between (unless there is a lot of rework like VSH V-script where Hale's stun replaced by charges, stomp and Saxton Punches as CC is frustating for a FPS game). Slender Fortress make pyro have to rely the enemy to deal afterburn damage or vulnerable to fire for Volacno's Fragment be viable, Pyro is nerfed harder than sandman give the boss rage in Freak Fortress for using airblast which can lead to his doom because stunned pyro is basically dead unless übercharged or use specific part enviroment like high grounds to get out, Pyro is overpowered in Zombie Escape because all enemy is melee and flamethrower hard counter melee enemy especially with infinitely regenating ammo all class have and there is barely any flank route in ZE to suprise pyro so pyro always slow zombies down with his flamethowers and can't reach it, Super Zombie Fortress is the most balanced plug-ins as pyro start with his melee and even if flamethower is aquired then the 50% less ammo penalty so spamming it isn't an option, zombies go slightly faster when lit on fire so need for aim is more, and the tank (basically the boss) is immune to his airblast but not making Pyro useless as his flamethower still hard counter melee enemy and obtainable in addition his melee is now useful unlike other plug-ins where most bad weapons just left as is so the Gas Passer explode on ignite and Volcano's Fragment actually not worse than stock Fire Axe as flamethower isn't available at the start of the game and Powerjack's and Axtinguisher 20% damage vulnerabilty and 33% damage penalty is always active unless obtained primary or secondary make it not outshine stock Fire Axe so there is a lot more viable melee to choose from.
If I can change something in this tier list is that I would put demo in S tier and soldier in A because disciplinary action can increase speed pretty decently but the escape plan is amazing for all bosses that can't insta kill and his speed while low is faster when damaged and lower than 40 health can make him faster than demo and even scout Edit: i think a new update happened which makes heavy with the GRU not be reduced to 100 but 270 with mini crit vulnerability which still is very durable and he is as fast as pyro so basically he is better than engineer and pyro
It would be cool if engineer retained the ability to build something useful, like some sort of noise beacon that could distract mosters by mimicing human voicelines or a spinning light that looks like a flashlight from a distance, but the beacon could be destroyed by only a little damage. Even a non functioning dispenser that would serve as a barricade would be better than his small advantage he has now. Also it would be cool if sniper's jarate could either apply a boomer bile like effect to monsters, hampering their visibility for a short duration or if the jarate gave them an outline that was visible through walls to warn nearby teammates. If scout weren't so good already I'd say give him mad milk and make it have a temporary slowdown effect on monsters, though maybe pyro could be given this ability instead with the gas passer to buff him a little.
0:33 that shit is annoying to deal with. even if you killbind before being teleported it respawns you. its bad enough when engis build sentries in spots nearby or demos putting down a shit ton of stickies. spells should be disabled during the wheel being spun. Also have sentries ammo be removed if the wheel teleports players (carnival of carnage is one of the few maps that does).
I recently started getting back into Glubbables server. Very nostalgic, I remember being 10 in 2014 and just having the greatest time being jumpscared in TF2 lmao.
The flashlight infuriates me to no end. It just spawns a light source on the thing you're looking at, meaning either you can't see what's close or you have to looks straight at the floor to see
I accidentally clicked on this and when I saw the first 2 seconds of the intro, I just sat bewildered at what in the hell I just saw. I now feel obligated to watch this video.
It's interesting to see Scout's role in this sort of mode. I fully expected it to be cowardly and such, running away from bosses and being generally a selfish class like Spy, but turns out he's kind of the opposite. Seems like an ideal team is a couple spies focusing on finding what needs to be found with some scouts, demos, and/or snipers (boss dependent) focusing on preoccupying the boss to let the spies do their job.
not really scouts get teammates killed more often then saving them due to attracting bosses to them it's more of a medic's and sniper's job leaning more on medic then sniper solely by having slightly more health then sniper and better regen with amputator for same chase priority, with a significant enough amount of bosses not being instakills
@@simplysmiley4670 This was said with the presumption that the Scouts are skilled and therefore not getting their teammates killed. Obviously if people aren't very good, they're less likely to successfully fulfill these sorts of roles rather than getting their team killed.
Is this tier list is still up to date? Or was it even correct to begin with? Also i used to watch this dude a lot. Then i completly forgot about him for around a year or a bit more then now today he shows up in my main page again lol
@@FAKELiamVickers Somewhat outdated, most maps typically have infinite battery life now which makes Engineer worthless Some servers have also removed heavy's extra health for some reason making him undeniably the worst class, I have zero reason why they would give him 150 HP but they did. i dont comment very often but yknow what after watching this and your VSH tier list you've inspired me to reinstall the game once more. TF2 is truly eternal
if you want other community gamemodes to make a tier list of, check out either engineer fortress or zombie run, engineer fortress is basically where you play against a bunch of engie bots (most times) on red and have to destroy sentries and cap points. For zombie run it's basically where you run around a map, hold a spot for a few minutes against real human player zombies, move onto the next one, repeat, and probably fight a boss
For Heavy, I think this should be noted if you can use this weapon in the gamemode, but using the Fists of Steel is bound to even hurt you more because that means Heavy would take even more damage against bosses with melee attacks. I havent played the gamemode, but it seems like most, if not all bosses, deal with melee based attacks or attacks from static damage, none of which classify as “bullet” damage.
Interesting fact, while heavy is mostly terrible in almost all aspects, equipping the fists of steel on him does in fact reduce the damage he takes from projectile bosses. It's downside is active as well however, so it by no means makes him good, but it allows him to survive scenarios he wouldn't have been able to otherwise if you have the foresight to know boss intros.
I feel like soldiers gimmick should be that they have a shotgun which would deal no damage and is purely cosmetic because "soldier hiding" is basically a oxymoron, he would fight the monster.
just gonna leave this here. if you can. find a server that gets rid of the sprint decreasing overtime mechanic. in regular servers while sprinting you Slowey start to slow down till you are fully out of stamina. this mainly hurts heavy as your forced to then use the gru to have even a chance of not dying. but it also means faster classes such as scout will pretty much begin to slow down to the regular sprint speed for most classes . servers where this is removed allows you to run at the same pace till your out of stamina. this makes playing as heavy much better since now you can escape bosses without marking yourself for death with the gru. (yes the speed you get is good and getting mark for death means nothing if you don't get hit but from my general experience heavy can out run bosses just fine with stock as long as you can keep your pace.) this also means scout is going to be at his fastest Gru heavy may not be bad. and of course sprint is the only thing keeping you away from death if your caught. But unless your fighting a insta kill boss or the bosses speed changes depending on the difficulty meaning you need to be faster to survive. A gru heavy is pretty much worse at his job then a regular heavy
tierlist for all gamemodes :kekw: normal tf2 scream fortress vshale slender fortress -freak fortress- (didnt play it, looks like hale but meme) hot air balloon one that i used to play as a kiddin
I've played on that server literally on almost every night last month (only stopping for Scream Fortress), I recognize almost everyone in the video lol. It sucks that I missed this party though. :( Although, I MIGHT have seen you online on the server before.
Wouldnt demoman be fastest class? If boss is near him he turns into cheetah. Scout pretty much can drop bonk when you press H , if player takes it their speed replenishes , scout that dropped it can take it after few mins. Pyro can extinguish his allies. Soldier can drop ammo crate if he doesnt have whip , this ammo crate will give whoever picks it up an additional team supply. Demoman can drop beer bottle which can give mini crits for some time. Heavy can shout a battle cry which gives him and other players in a certain radius damage resistance. Engineer can drop battery which fills full battery. Medic can drop small chocolate bar that can heal , it gives small ammount of health. Sniper can drop coffee which fills blink bar. Spy can cloak himself , its good against losing a boss.
In glubbable and district servers some classes are buffed and items effects gameplay. For example sniper has very high ultra vision to see well in the dark and his cosy camper only makes him take more damage if not at full health. (Edit) but also makes him a higher priority target too. While engi has a flashlight able to light up Whole rooms but the worst ultra vision And as for pyro the power jack makes him one of the fastest sprinters but takes more damage.
The thing is,there are more bosses then just those 3,there bosses that use ranged attacks, like guns, fire or electricity. There are ones who leave behind tar pits to slow and damage over time. Yeah, most can be considered chasers but it definitely changes on what type it is,like a charger vs a chaser.
I'm well aware there's like 90 "sub-sets" of chaser monsters but the video is already like 30 minutes long and saying "this guy chases you... with a gun" "This guy chasing you but only if you look at it" Etc is tedious and repetitive

Do cosmetics like The Second Opinion with built in automatic voice lines make bosses spot you easier?
For Heavy, I think this should be noted if you can use this weapon in the gamemode, but using the Fists of Steel is bound to even hurt you more because that means Heavy would take even more damage against bosses with melee attacks. I havent played the gamemode, but it seems like most, if not all bosses, deal with melee based attacks or attacks from static damage, none of which classify as “bullet” damage.
6:08 engi soon realized that he shouldn't be looking straight at SCP-096 in the eye, and then engineer died because of SCP-096 lmao
The not just the eyes but the whole face
@@dravengarcia8658 he'd be looking at the face too so...
@@Tower_Swagman I just wanted to sounds smart
What would be harder than gru heavy is eviction notice heavy as there isn’t enough speed as the gru
Damn. Found out hoovydundy is in there. Imma play it.
I used to play this gamemode, Medic & Friends server or smth, didn't have to wait 6 years, good ol' times.
ngl for the longest time thought this was just a ranking on how skinny the tf2 characters where. glad i clicked out of curiosity.
We did it pyros
We aren't the worst
Heavy isn’t fat, he just has big muscles
sandvich
sandvich
Make you strong!
He has both fat and muscles.
the scariest part about this is the fact that you play slender fortress
Neat! I never knew this even existed! Sounds cool.
This is one of my fave game mode. Glad it gets some attention it deserve
Also i love how father and son are the s tiers in here
bro heavy should at least be able to equip lunchbox item. or just be able to fight back
it would be to op
Heavy should hsve the highest sprinting speed because a fat Russian man running at mach 10 would be hilarious.
More youtubers need to make transition images like you do. It makes the video better.
idk why i havent tried this gamemode earlier! it still has a player base and a few servers online so im gonna try it out!
I thought the video was about how slender each of the mercs are lol. Tier list would still hold up then.
I always thought that all classes were the same in this gamemode.
Huh.. Interesting
I actually had no idea each class have their own stats in SF2
I feel like soldiers gimmick should be that they have a shotgun which would deal no damage and is purely cosmetic because "soldier hiding" is basically a oxymoron, he would fight the monster.
I too always rely on sacri- TEAMMATES teammates, I meant teammates
Here's another Heavy challenge. Heavy with the eviction notice.
A fellow person that likes the OFF ost??????
damn. never thought I'd hear Avatar Beat in this context. 9/10
just gonna leave this here. if you can. find a server that gets rid of the sprint decreasing overtime mechanic. in regular servers while sprinting you Slowey start to slow down till you are fully out of stamina. this mainly hurts heavy as your forced to then use the gru to have even a chance of not dying. but it also means faster classes such as scout will pretty much begin to slow down to the regular sprint speed for most classes . servers where this is removed allows you to run at the same pace till your out of stamina. this makes playing as heavy much better since now you can escape bosses without marking yourself for death with the gru. (yes the speed you get is good and getting mark for death means nothing if you don't get hit but from my general experience heavy can out run bosses just fine with stock as long as you can keep your pace.) this also means scout is going to be at his fastest
Gru heavy may not be bad. and of course sprint is the only thing keeping you away from death if your caught. But unless your fighting a insta kill boss or the bosses speed changes depending on the difficulty meaning you need to be faster to survive. A gru heavy is pretty much worse at his job then a regular heavy
tierlist for all gamemodes :kekw:
normal tf2
scream fortress
vshale
slender fortress
-freak fortress- (didnt play it, looks like hale but meme)
hot air balloon one that i used to play as a kiddin
I didn't know this was a thing until now
Childhood right here, Played this gamemode over Years
Aha, like the halloween intro ;)
The intro makes me chuckle, it’s good that it’s bad
I've played on that server literally on almost every night last month (only stopping for Scream Fortress), I recognize almost everyone in the video lol. It sucks that I missed this party though. :(
Although, I MIGHT have seen you online on the server before.
Pyro should get longer in between blinking times because of his mask
14:43 Petah, Freddie Freaker is dancing in our livingroom
its been 2 or 3 years since i last play on worbe server WELL TIME TO FIND NEW AND PLAY :D
Is that the ghost ship theme i hear from Legend of Zelda Phantom Hourglass? when youre talking about the monsters
I have been waiting for this for well not years but might as well say its been for the joke
Very spookie Halloween video
Btw the corpse carrier is now Halloween restricted so sorry to all of you who loved this cosmetic :(
Now I know why the price of the item skyrocketed in the stream community market
Damn should've bought one or unboxed one earlier
While engi has a flashlight able to light up Whole rooms but the worst ultra vision
And as for pyro the power jack makes him one of the fastest sprinters but takes more damage.
nah they are nerfed on these 2 servers so they arent usefull anymore
Ayyy disc ff, I love those servers
The thing is,there are more bosses then just those 3,there bosses that use ranged attacks, like guns, fire or electricity. There are ones who leave behind tar pits to slow and damage over time. Yeah, most can be considered chasers but it definitely changes on what type it is,like a charger vs a chaser.
I'm well aware there's like 90 "sub-sets" of chaser monsters but the video is already like 30 minutes long and saying "this guy chases you... with a gun"
"This guy chasing you but only if you look at it"
Etc is tedious and repetitive
8:16 OFF OST 34- Avatar beat
Yo was that Avatar beat? Sweet, another OFF fan
OFF is an old masterpiece
Will there be a tier list about the bosses of slender fortress or are there too many of them?
At least somewhere Spy is shining as a good class and not fixed to the ground.
Yeah, I'm talking to you, Gabe Newell...
What music is playing when @SpaceGuyOnline is talking about sniper, because it sounds interesting.
He leaves the music at the top but I’ll tell you anyway it's submerged castle from Pikmin 2
It's sad.
Classles update.
All classes have same health and stats :((
Idk why they did that since it removes the core concept of TF2, the classes, now this game is more slender than Fortress.
