20 min SEATED dynamic & static stretching routine for seniors

- This 20 minute stretching routine includes both dynamic & static stretches. If your body is feeling tight, give this a try! It's a great stretching routine to do at any time of the day.

I spent the last several weeks packing up, moving most of our stuff, doing an absurd amount of cleaning,getting paint carpet and repairs done and staging our house, so I haven't been able to work out, except in the sense that most days involve 20-50 times going up and down the stairs, carrying things and scrubbing. They just shot the house photos Fridays and we've got a couple of days before we list. There is no way I could have done all of the work I've done over the past weeks without having worked out with you over the last year. Thanks for helping me to have the energy and strength to get all of this done! And thanks for this video because I am sore all over.
Moving is an insane amount of work...but, it also means a lot of physical movement and exercise so you're likely getting in a lot more exercise and steps than you even realize. I wish you all the best with the sale of the house! I'll look forward to seeing you back more regularly when the move is finished:) In the meantime, breathe and stretch.😉

I'm doing the 7-day workout and I do this or the 30 min stretching routine afterwards depending on how tight I've been feeling. Wonderful and I highly recommend this routine. Thanks.

I know who Gumby is:) We had a toy Gumby at one point in our house and I remember I enjoyed playing with it and making it go into all sorts of weird positions. I forgot about that toy so thank you for bringing a happy memory back:)

I started a one year LOA from work a few weeks ago which is why I have time for more videos now. I decided if I’m going to continue, I need to invest the time. I’m due back at work next Sept:)

Hi! I don't have specific 'somatic stretching' videos but you can find all of my stretching routines together in the playlists under 'stretching'. Hopefully you'll find something there that will help.
Oh my gosh, these felt so wonderful. Especially after yesterday's hard workout. I did notice myself holding my breath sometimes, though, so perhaps reminding us not to do that would be a good idea!
Do you think this is "sufficient" to do on days after a challenging workout? I felt like I needed a rest day, but wanted to maintain my record of doing some sort of workout every day.
You can absolutely do this every day, whether you've done another workout or not. This is great for getting the body moving in a safe way and all of the stretching will help to prevent injuries from the more challenging workouts. Often we get injured due to lack of flexibility so this will prep you for those, and help to stretch you out after:) On days when you can't find the motivation to work out, this would be great to do.
