    Be thankful for getting older. Not everyone gets to. What a beautiful quote. Thanks Jules for another fantastic video. In the words of Ingrid Bergman:Getting old is like climbing a mountain; you get a little out of breath,but the view is much better. I am comparing your workout videos to this quote. Yes, we do get out of breath but our health gets better day by day . Thanks a lot for your hard work and time which you put in making these videos. You are changing millions of lives for better.     I am 82 years old. I have procrastinated for a long time about exercising, and then I found you on UA-cam. I have been doing the chair exercises with you for over a week now. I actually look forward to the session each morning. Thank you so much for your gift of your time and exercise techniques. I know my doctor will be please that I found someone who encourages me and that I’m actually doing the exercise - and enjoy doing them. Thank you!

    I have been enjoying your classes for the last several years. I get a nice rounded workout through classes. I do the weight classes and get a kick out of you when you say it is good for people from twenty and seventy. I am eighty and enjoy the program very much and I thought you could enjoy leading an eighty old woman

    Even though this is a beginners routine, I made it my own by ramping it up, but was grateful that your cardio section wasn't as demanding as it usually is: my section of NJ endured a bit over 5 hours of a nasty nor-easter last night and I was stressed, distressed, and somewhat scared. So in the sapped state I was in today I was grateful for this perfect routine. The opening posture routine was challenging. I welcomed it even though I don't have a posture problem. I feel much better now thanks to this gem, Jules!...Anastasia

    I’ve had a lot of muscle weakness in my arms the last few years and I have decided to finally do something about it. Finding your videos has changed the way I feel about exercise. I don’t dread it!! I look forward to getting up before work and spending time strengthening myself and you make it fun and easy. I’m 54 and plan to grow old gracefully with your help!!     I love your workouts. They help to stretch and give me more flexibility when I do them.

      Cardio was very challenging for me even though I walk every day. I do yoga videos most days so do t get much cardio. I will return. The videos I do are from all over the world but I thought you sounded
      Canadian. Me too. I guess we do have a speech pattern.

    Thank you for the slower pace of these exercises, perfect for seniors. Most instructors are so hyped up it's hard to follow. I also like your interspersed comments of "this might be difficult to do or you maybe you have pain in your shoulders, etc." I feel like you are right in the room with me, understanding my body's pain.

    Hi Jules: another amazing workout. I like this workout because you can sit in the chair. You have all kind of workout people can choose. So no one can’t say that they can not do any exercise.     This excercise helped with stretching my left arm as the muscle was tight. It feels better now

    This workout can be done by anyone, even the weakest or sickest. There are no excuses.
    Personally, I performed these exercises with pleasure.
    I used weights after your suggestion. I think women shouldn't avoid weights either, as strong arms are often more necessary for them than for men.

    I REALLY appreciate these seated exsersizes. Im not a senior but im diagnosed with pots syndrome. So standing can be very hard. I do your seated exsersize everyday

    I really like your workouts the best. I appreciate that you consider every ability level. I would like if you added exercises for pelvic prolapse, or identify them if they are already there. I have to work at that as well but most of them are too hard or on the floor which I cannot do. Thank you so much. I am looking forever and you are the very best to follow. You seem to consider everything and most do not.

    Hi Jules:
    Sorry, my body still does not like chair exercises ( who knows why) so I did most of it standing.
    When I opened UA-cam yesterday, your wooden spoon cardio came up and I could not resist. Side effect: I feel my inner thighs today from squatting down.
    Thanks for making all these different videos for all levels of fitness.

      I have lots of viewers who can't do the standing workouts so I try to offer seated, too. This would be a tough one to modify to standing but I'm impressed you gave it a try! I'm glad to read that your thighs felt the squat move from the other day...shows they are working:)

    Really enjoyed the session. The time went by very quickly and I was able to do all of it although I stood for some of the exercises. I don’t mind if there is music or not. I’ll go with the flow!

      Aww, thank you, Anuradha. When I turned 40 years ago, my mom said something on the lines of that quote and it really stuck with me. It's very true. So many people get upset about getting older. It's a fact of life and we absolutely should be grateful. What's the alternative? I'm glad that you enjoyed the quote:)

    Next December I am going on a med.cruise with some walking Venice, turkey and Greek. I would like to walk a little better. I have been very active all my life but in last 5-6 years I have had both knees and both hips replaced without any problems but now having feet pain from deterioration of cartilage in left metatarsals. Now I feel as if the muscles of my upper legs are weakening. Any suggestions,please

      Your cruise sounds wonderful! My suggestion is to do as much as you physically can to get stronger (without causing more pain). Ideally, try to include strength training 2-4 times a week so you continue to build strength, too. Sit to stands would be a very beneficial exercise to include, too.     I have been looking for an exercise routine where the elderly can sit, but also one that the person doesn't have to move the arms all the way up due to pain in the shoulder joints. Do you have something like that? It's for someone who wants to start doing exercises, over time, she may get better.

      Hi! My suggestion would be to show her the gentle seated workouts. I create playlists and categorize each workout there. Some of the gentle workouts will have us raising our arms over our heads but she can modify the exercise and just raise her arm to whatever level is comfortable. I have had lots of people in my classes at work who also have past shoulder injuries. My gentle workouts would be the best ones for her to start with and avoiding any movements that bother her.

    Hi hope all is well. Thank you for your videos. I have my Mom do these. She was in a nursing home where they kept in her bed for 4 months . She now lives with me. Sh6has lost so much muscle and strength in her legs that she hardly can hold herself up. Is there any thing else you would recommend for her. She is 92 years young, 5ft tall and weight 148

      Bless you for taking your mom home and for taking care of her. I'm sorry to hear about the nursing home...so many good ones out there, but unfortunately lots of bad ones, too. I think what I'd recommend is to go to my website and go to the gentle seated workouts. Those would be the best ones for her to start with. You could also work on sit-to-stands with her (stand beside her and have her push herself up to a standing position from a seated position on the bed or chair to build strength in her legs). www.improvedhealthforseniors.com

    I teach an exercise group for seniors. I have been showing videos so they can do on their own. All say your class is too fast. They can't keep up. Most people are 85+

      Hi, thank you for your feedback. I create 3 levels of workouts. The gentle level would be more appropriate for 85+. They are designed to be gentle with slower movements.     Hi my name is Anita Anita I purchase a programmer chair for senior exercise you're the one that I'm coming up with but I don't have it on my phone they've taken the money out from my bank but I can't find the chair exercises it's supposed to be a shot every day I like yours but I said this is it it's nice that you're sitting there doing it if you are it's okay but I just came across you looking for this exercise I feel that I've been cheated or scared one of the other I don't know I'm going to have my bank to put it tracer on it

      Hi, I'm sorry to hear about what's happening with the program you signed up with elsewhere. Here you will find free workouts that will always remain free. Just to help you navigate the channel, I create 3 levels of workouts (gentle, beginner and intermediate) in both seated and standing workouts, and categorize them all into the playlists. Just look for 'playlists' on the main page and scroll down to where you see the seated options. I also started a second channel dedicated to chair workouts and will add the link for you here: youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
      I now upload all new seated workouts to the new channel.
