This was different and I didn't want to rush it. So I waited for some quiet time with no interruptions and it was very relaxing. I think I will try the breathing technique when I wake up in the middle of the night worrying about tomorrow to get me relaxed and able to fall asleep again. Thanks for always surprising us with new things to do.
I forgot to mention that I had to change chair again because my feet did not reach the ground when I leaned back. Also I had to move away from wall to stretch my arms all the way back. Loved it. Thanks again.
Having COPD, I am grateful for you taking the time to put this up. Breath work is so important when you have bronchial impairment. Thank you to both of you. I do start each morning with meditation to focus on the breath. This is an added bonus. ❤️
@@loonielaura Thanks so much, Laura. You're so good at bringing smiles to my face. Here's the updated link for the 50's/60's video which will hopefully bring smiles to your face, too:) ua-cam.com/video/1OYll73ubdg/v-deo.html
Thank you for excellent video. I suffer from anxiety, this will really help me to learn how to breath correctly. Really enjoy all your workouts, highly recommend your channel.
Thanking so much Jules for arranging this video! I feel that it’s good for all ages, especially for people got very tired and stressful because of busy work. Of course it’s good for seniors to improve health. Thank you , thank you Jules and the lady too🥰🥰
Hi Jules: Thanks Jules for making this video. This is good for all ages. Thank you Jules and Lorraine for a great video. I find it very relaxing. You always make a great workout video. Have a great day. 😅😅😅
Thank you both for this great video. Jules you never disappoint us.Deep breathing is one of our easiest, most convenient and natural tools to combat issues like stress, anxiety, high blood pressure and it can reduce pain and even aid in digestion.I have been always a great fan of breathing exercises. I make sure to open the window and do the breathing exercises. I am glad you added some new techniques for doing this. Thank you both once again. Stay blessed❤️
Thank you for sharing! All of the gentle workouts on my channel would be appropriate for most people with COPD. You can let her know that she can find all of the gentle workouts (both seated and standing) categorized together in the playlists, and also on my website (www.improvedhealthforseniors.com). I hope she enjoys them!
Can you do a full class please this has been so enlightening, I had an operation on my foot four months ago and so out of condition now, and this class was a good base for me to re enter god health Safely
Thanks so much for your comment, Bridget. Lorraine and I will see what feedback we get from this routine and then we’ll collaborate again to create more. I appreciate any feedback you have for us:)
Thank you Jules for the guest speaker and her suggestions to complement the training. I am totally fine with the exercises with you, which are well thought out and varied by you. Sorry to bring this to your attention Jules. When we lift weights to train the biceps, as your colleague demonstrates, the arms (I am referring to the shoulders and elbows) need to be close to the torso, close to the chest, because then they are working well the muscles we are after. Whereas your movements with your arms away from your torso were - sorry - wrong. Thank you very much and once again.... YOUR own training designs are enough for me "to be happy"💛.
Hi Lucius, thanks for your feedback. When lifting light weights, like in this video, the biceps will still be targeted during this movement, especially when the person focuses on flexing the biceps when the hands are up. I will keep your feedback in mind for future videos so thank you for pointing it out:)
Thank you both for this wonderful video. I have alpha-1 (similar to COPD) and this was perfect and something I needed to incorporate into my daily routine. It is nice and slow. Now I need to find one that is along this level but uses more leg exercises. Ant ideas?
Absolutely! All of my gentle workouts should be appropriate. If you go to my playlists, you’ll find all of the workouts categorized. You can also find them on my website. Just check out the gentle seated workouts. www.improvedhealthforseniors.com I’d love your feedback after you’ve tried some of them.
These are gentle exercises so yes, you can definitely do this twice a day if it feels good. I have plenty of other simple workouts under the 'gentle level seated' workouts. I'll add a link to my new chair channel for other workouts, too. www.youtube.com/@ImprovedHealthChairWorkouts
How thoughtful and kind of you to make such a video. Thank you both. The older that I get, the more I am trying to focus on breathing.
