They act like they're dead broke, but they're living easier than us with their maids, house help, yard person, driver, etc.

Whenever my family calls me they start by telling their problems without even greeting me. I told my aunt that I am not a rock but a human being who has emotional, financial and physical needs as well. I asked her to stop putting pressuring on me. She remained silent after hearing this. I then blocked her from Whatsapp and messenger. In fact, I blocked all my family members and some friends, who used to disturb me.

Pretend you don't have any money and come back home with no new clothes, car and tell your family and friends that you are not going back to live abroad then you will see people for whom they really are. Don't forget to be the one asking for help everyone will run away from you. In fact switch the role and wait for it. It's so fun to watch. Stay safe please .

No matter what you give them as gifts, they are not content.

My sister recently said l was her divine provider that was sent by God to provide for her - that is when l knew l had to stop.

I am from Europe and my husband from Africa. When we met we were both broke and when our first child was born we rented one room to live in it. It was hard as he didn’t have documents and couldn’t get legitimate job. (Back then I didn’t know he needed papers and things like that). Then he started to send money abroad to build house for his mother! I said are you out of your mind? We don’t have our own house for our child and you building house for your mum? Her husband should have done that for her not her son. Your responsibility is your spouse and kid. It took a long time for him to get this. African mentality is scary honestly, that is the reason people are poor there (I know not all, but comparing to rest of advanced countries).

Most African families lack boundaries!!! This is something that needs to be inculcated into homes when raising children.

And majority of families and friends back home are envious rivals. They could go to any length to hurt you to get what they want.

I went back home once at 18 and I haven’t been back in close to 20 years. I couldn’t handle it. If these people could take the liner off my eyes, they would. They seem to think that money grows on trees in the West. I had people trying to take the clothes out of my suitcase before I left to return home. I now keep my family at arms length. These people and their problems are not my issue.

I am black American and I see this is really a problem all around the world. My Korean friend went through this with her family with wanting money, clothes, and would even take the clothes she wore over there but treated her like a foreigner! My friend here in Florida married an Egyptian and this man would work several jobs 6 days and nights a week and every 6 months would go home for 3 months with 300.00 of dollars and come back broke and wearing clothes that was not his. In 7 years he would not spend a penny on her and she worked as well. She told him if you want to be that big of a fool go marry your family I'm out of here!! Lastly I know an African woman from Nigeria who works in an expensive hotel here. She sends her family no money. She goes home often and supervises the building of the family home and pays personally for necessary things, but says I will not hand out money for them to live a good life out of my hard work!!! Very smart woman. She saw me selling dinners for extra money to go with my job at the hospital, and decided to do the same. 🙂

If you have anything. They think you have money and they think they are entitled to it. There was a time when my husband was out of work. We are a family of 4 and we were surviving on my wage alone. My husband’s mother still thought he should be sending money to support his sister and all of her family.

You are sooooooo right💯💯These people dont care. The worse part is, when you stop sending money to them, you become an enemy and they will start tarnishing your image, saying all sorts of negative stuffs about you. Some family members are so toxic. Honestly, they don't care. You got a new subscriber👍

I went behind a builder, called the nearby supplier/hardware store , the bill I had received earlier was double! It’s like he priced everything twice! So I decided to get the quotation, called the store and paid directly, I saved a lot!

As an African American, i really appreciate you for keeping it real. The story about the Nigerian guy living in America who had nothing but, when he arrived in Nigeria his family had everything, really put tears in my eyes. I couldn't stop crying because how can you trust anyone if you can't even trust your own people? It breaks my heart. I've experienced some nigerian restaurants who refused to give me my change back and was utterly shocked, never spent money there again. I love nigerian people but im noticing alot of entitlement within the culture and its honestly disgusting. I wanted to believe maybe it was just a few bad experiences but this video definitely opened my eyes even more. Thank you for all that you do. And I would love for you to put that Togolese company in the description box so that i may hire them for future projects.

Your so on point it took me years to understand and resist the pressure of black tax. Its the reason I stopped going to Nigeria and will never live there. Our people have not mercy on their own blood. Its merciless.
