I am a monster in my family because I don’t send a dime. Watched one of my uncle who travelled abroad and played God to the family whereas he was not even legal where he was. After doing so for 8 years while dwelling in the shadow of the system he got arrested and sent back. The people he sent money to all insulted him. His own mother (my grand mother) destroyed him no one wanted him around instead he came and lived with me his nephew. Now it was my turn I travelled and blocked everyone while in the shadow of the system. Now I am legal but I only do something when it is absolutely necessary. The reason is our family back home tend to forget what you did for them the previous day or week or month and it becomes entitlement 101. It’s hard to do but it is the right thing to do. No one you caretare gives a fuck about you. You want to know their true colors keep talking to them and send nothing they will label you everything on this earth.

I am so glad that you are speaking on this major problem with black American women and African men who fool them into believing they love them, they get married, and they only what their papers. I went through that. It took years for me to get over this. I mean, a couple of decades, Cheating,, heavy drinker. I was much younger. He had my mind. I love him. I thought it was real but it wasn't. I suffered many years, causing me not to trust no man in terms of giving myself to them in terms of loving them and really left a scar my heart. So thank you for bringing this to the light..

To think that I am supposed to work hard and carry the bulk of the finances so that you can send money to grown arse people! People chillin drinking attaya ( tea) and buying fancy clothes for weddings, baby naming ceremonies, etc when you fly home while I am supposed to pay more of the expenses and keep a emergency fund so that my husband can help you? Nope! I will divorce you! Who needs dead weight? I have never met one person including family that I am willing to live in poverty for! If your family at home is more important than providing for your actual household than you need to go be with them! My home is not an Airbnb so the idea of family members staying for months is a no go!!!! I am not interested in financially providing for anybody! Not my family or his! If the woman is paying the bulk of the expenses while he is sending money home there is no reciprocity! Emergencies are different, but, not every month. She will never fully respect him as a man and provider and he will never be the leader of his home! A co-contributor will never be the head of the household!

Smh! Most would actually look at these marriage situations and know that they could really work if the person is upfront with their intentions. Most won't care about their marital status in the homeland if they are getting what they want :) $ But Once you play with someone's emotions and for free Ha haha, now that's the problem.

This is the general mentality among Africans: a husband/wife doesn't see themselves as a family. So, the prefer listening or liable to someone out their marriage. Am yet to understand the rationale behind this if not for the fear of been bewitched by their so called 'family' known first to them. Or rather Africans find it to define the exact deferential natures of family.

I have seen this type of nonsense alot in North America.I am sorry for this sister because she really did not sign up for this type of foolishness which will only lead you to the poor house. While the west provides opportunities to build up,if your not careful, foolishness like this will cause you to waste your prime years and end up with nothing in the end.At some point you have to release when to drop the dead weight and leave certain folks behind especially blood sucking relatives.I have identified family members as my enemies and cut them off clean,i have zero regrets while stay thriving.Don't fall for the emotional black mail either, these are vultures and highly narcissistic

I just seen a video of an African lady who been working in the US for decades and sending money to her brother back home for decades to build her a house, plus taking care of the family. She did buy her land but the money for the house her brother stole it, he been sending her pics of another house being built 🤦🏽‍♀️ she popped up in africa unannounced and her house only had the foundation 3 floor house unfinished and damaged due to the rain, she cried cause she worked hard to retire back home in her own house, she trusted her brother and her brother was no where to be found.

    There’s the saying:
“..Fool me once… Same on You… Fool me twice… Same on ME!…”
The writer of the story said: “… I was young… I didn’t sign up for this…”
    Ok… fine… lesson was learned… questions weren’t asked BEFORE marriage….
BUT…. after 5 years of stress & struggling… she left him… THEN… she RETURNED to the “same” circumstances WITHOUT changing the behaviors going on in the relationship… SHE WENT BACK FOR MORE WITH HER EYES WIDE OPEN! 🤨 And… she brought a child into the chaos… smdh
It’s NOT what he’s doing… It’s what she’s willing to LET HIM DO!… SHE WENT BACK… I’ve got no sympathies once that happen…

This was one of your best lives top 10... thank you for always speaking the truth . This brought back old memories in my early twenties spinning big money on expensive liquor, clothes, food, Parties at my place every weekend. Just to impress people that knew he was cheating . Loaning money out that I never got back Maxed out one of my credit cards on his sister that just came here from Liberia only for her to smile in my face patting me on my back and sticking a knife in it. Hook her brother up with one of her best friends in the end he got killed by a machine at work never got a chance to marry this new woman krama is real. The ancestors never sleeps. Have a good weekend brother Phrankleen. Been riding with you a long time you taught me how to make Eba 🤘🏽👊🏾 ♥️🎈🎉🎊👍🏾✌🏾P.S. you are correct you're not exposing anything that is not on social media or by Word of mouth... 🤘🏽✌🏾

Phrankleen, brother. I am so glad to see you again. I haven't seen your posts since the Covid-19 advent. I promised I would look to meet with you when visiting England. As I said in my comment about this issue, I sacrificed 25 years of my life, and practically lost everything. I had to start anew. The only things I have been able to save, thanks God/Allah are my higher education degrees, health, and America papers. As I told you I was even writing a historical fiction book about it, and I am almost done. It's in the last editing. I will definitely let you know when it' s published. We are all victims of what you're talking about. Diaspora Africans and our Descendant African Americans and Caribbean Africans. The truth is our families are the root cause of our mental corruption and hypocritical behavior. In one of my published articles, " Why Africa is Lagging Behind.", I covered a whole section on families pushing Africans to corruption. Thanks Phrankleen for talking about this painful subject. God/ Allah bless you, my brother.
