Dude I bought my 4th WASR back in February of this year, and it already has good looking wear. It's crazy what just taking your guns outside and sweating with them will actually do. You look like you could go outside more too.
Looks great! love the new furniture and overall look of it. I have the exact same sling for my Wasr, and an earlier style of Romanian leather mag puch.
I’m not sure we’re you got the misinformation on the wood furniture I’ve got an all stock Wasr 10 I’ve had it for over 5 years got almost 7000 rounds through it & the wood furniture is holding up just fine no cracks I’ve managed to scratch it a bit but overall it’s perfectly fine just like it came from day 1
had great luck with the 5 i've owned over the years, sure there are some lemons (2008-2012 & 2016 had some rougher runs due to politics and increased demand ) but so far every wasr i have owned was everything an akm should be
Nice furniture, but the artificial wear looks like ass. Consider applying some matte bbq paint or engine enamel for corrosion resistance and letting it wear naturally. Will look much bettee.
Yea I know a lot of people hate the artificial wear. You can let it wear naturally but it will never wear enough to look anything like this. They simply sit in my safe
@@THEPAGUNGUYpaint it and it will look nice in 80 years when you’re dead and your grandchildren are enjoying it. I do respect the surplus furniture though instead of trying to “modernize” it.
@@THEPAGUNGUY Both you and your rifle could have benefited from just going on frequent hikes. Natural wear, and weight loss for you, but I guess that's too hard.
I like how that rifle came together, great video!

What number on the receiver determines what year it was made?
It's on the front trunnion, part of the serial number. For example, mine says ROA 23 before the actual serial number therefore mine was made in 2023.
@TexasHellcat1836 mine has AI then a 5 digit number then a - then a 19
