Is that buffer tube black? It's a small detail but you would expect them to assemble these with gray buffer tubes since they offer car stocks with gray tubes.

While the construction on these PSA mags seem up to snuff, I've found that the front notch is much easier to mis-insert for some reason. I'm more partial to the poylmer Bulgarian ones with steel inserts.

To be fair, running over a rifle magazine is an extreme test. I would not judge lancer magazines bad just because one failed an extreme test.

Consider comparing it to the century Arms C308 (cetme)? I paid like $600 for a century arms c308 a couple years ago . It was like half the price as your southern tactical. It’s been a great rifle, and decent quality especially for century arms.

Devil's advocate. This video is cope. You can buy a raptor for 60 bucks if you wait. Extennded trigger guard is 5-15 depending on what/where you buy. Having been shot at before, people that pay for quality of life enhancements like charging handles know that when adrenaline is pumping, fine motor skills go to shit, and being able to more easily use gross motor skills to manipulate/use your weapon is worth 50-70 bucks. Training is everything, but some stuff helps.

Great video ! Just a general question, I just can't see why one would want an AK over an AR if the AK is just semi-auto. I have two WASRS and ergonomically I just couldn't get used to them.

I purchased two of the (11) kit builds. I am looking forward to building them. I have three Romanian AKM kit builds from Atlantic Manufacturering and an RPK. All are great rifles. They build then real good. Enjoy it.

Notice you don't charge it with your left hand because it's already in battery so why don't you release the bolt carrier and recharge it with your left

I purchased a similar akm from classic firearms (James River circle 11). I love it and it shoots really good. I'm also like you and add the correct accessories ie. polish bayonet, sling, mag pouch and mags. Great videos by the way

Tell ya what I got a TISAS 1911 A1 Great 1911! I put the GI grips on it and use Wilson combat mags. Feeds federal HST and Speer Gold Dot. Great 1911 and would take it over any kimber

I refere to the m14 as the gomer Pyle era rifle. Only military setting t v show you see this gun on. Brief career tween the grand and m1 carbine and the legendary still in service m16 variants.

I never understood why they didn’t provide a drum mag for this weapon, the magazines didn’t take a lot of ammo, which would suck having to constantly reload.

Ive been looking at one of these panels to add to my carrier as a placard. Any idea if AK mags will fit?

I can't swallow the 8 grand pill! They are nice, but for that money, I'd rather get a real transferable reising or one of the Semi Auto FG42's. So I bought a BAR parts kit with a good WW1 era date so the receiver isnt arma steel and will build that semi auto only. It will be much cheaper and be real with history.

That stock is black walnut, which is correct. Same with the M1s. The issue is that the USGI stocks were submerged in linseed oil and totally impregnated with it. It would eventually polymerize and harden up the structure of the wood. Nobody does that anymore. It was efficient for mass wartime production, but not for small scale civilian manufacturing these days. They get a surface finish now and get shipped out. Surface finishes are much more prone to scuffing and damage.

Private Reiben in "Saving Private Ryan" used his BAR without the tripod or carry handle. Like you said, soldiers would have wanted to reduce the weight of the weapon by ditching those components, therefore making it easier to carry and fight with.
