Thanks for the comparison video. I have the 425 Max, and I do accept the sound was off-putting at first, but I've got used to it. I'm so pleased with the club and very rarely miss a fairway with it. I'm a big Ping fan and also have the 425 3 and 4 woods. Thanks again for the info.

I was the same for my first couple of shots re the sound on the g425 but after that first few it was something I got over. Sounds loads worse in a range bay as well, totally different on the course for me. I upgraded from a g30 and was noticeably more forgiving for me. Enjoy the videos Andy, keep up the good work 👍

Thank you so much you really helped me out. I literally have been up late now for 4 hours after my first ever driver fitting trying to decide if I'm going to go with the amazing G430 set up I swung today, or my original plan of the G425 with similar low/low stiff shaft for under $400. I really liked the G430, however it's a bit steep in price and I only budgeted $400 for a driver as a young father with so many priorities I really am stressing the decision, I don't like spending this much on a hobby for myself but this has been a long time in the making (I've used the same Ben Hogan Driver and shaft for 14 years now as a 4-8 handicap, avg 280-290yd. with it) BUT after this I feel like I'm going to just go for it one time and get the G430! THANKS

Hey And. I'd love to see a table of your dry-ball data from all the drivers you have tested, along with shaft and setting details. Your swing speed and strike consistency are pretty representative of many of us fellow average golfers so it would be interesting to see which drivers were longer, lower spinning, higher launching, tighter dispersion, or whatever characteristic we are looking for. I know different days produce different swings and you didn't use the same shaft or settings each time but we're an educated lot and can perform some critical analysis of the data 😉

I have the G410 Max and my launch numbers are pretty much spot on with your G425 Andy. Even at 9 degrees I found the launch was sky high and would get killed into the wind, so I knocked the loft down 1.5 {opening the face) and put the weight to the toe. Now medium flight 2100 spin bullets... but really curious to get G430 into the hitting bay and see if I can squeeze those 7.

Looking at your numbers, I suspect that moving to the 9deg head with the sleeve moved up one click (slightly closing the face) will get you in your optimum launch window. I'm looking forward to comparing my GEN2 with the G430 to see if I can justify raiding my Piggy Bank👍👍

Andy - do you still use the Jumbo grip on your driver? Was just watching your old videos and was curious if you have fully changed to that grip style based on those results(you were getting 250 carry!), plus if you use that grip style when testing new drivers. I'm certain when people get fit for drivers they are not always using the same grips and that grip video certainly demonstrates it can create a difference.

So I have put a Ad-DI 6S cut to 45” total playing length (and spined by a professional club builder) and it’s an absolute rocket launcher yet to be beat by anything else i have tried with the same shaft (Rogue Max and TSI2).

I had the 425 LST and have just swapped to a new 430 MAX... your intro (and rant) about the sound of the 425 always makes me laugh... I could not care less about the noise a club makes and neither does anyone I have ever played with... it is all about performance... sound is about as relevant as the colour of the shaft or the quality of the head cover stitching. I have heard this from the so called experts since 425 was released and we are now hearing from these same experts the 430 is 'fixed' because it sounds different. Crazy... both are awesome and the best driver on the market for club golfers.

Put a UST Proforce 65 stiff 2.x torque in all the high flyers 10.5 degree drivers, and they become medium powerful flight. Problem is not many can hit the low torque shafts so the manufacturers put in 5 torque shafts for the masses, but they don't work well.

The noise of the 425 is an entirely subjective view. It isn’t a major problem and only gets whined about by a few UA-cam reviewers. I’ve never heard any club players moan about it being too loud. I reckon UA-cam reviewers jump on the bandwagon re perceived loudness because Peter Finch said it is.
