Just changing my g430 max 10.5 for the 9 degree. I've gained over 10mph ball speed this of season and spinning the 10.5 abit high even when lofted down can't wait to get it.

Am I the only one who couldnt tell a real sound difference between the two in the video? The camera tends to try and level out the volume so it doesnt come accross how different it actually is.
The taller face towards the toe on the 425 in my mortal golfer opinion separates these 2 drivers in every way. The 425 is way more forgiving and will turn the ball in for you on mis hits and I’ve had them both. I actually bought a back up 425 in case something happens to it because I like the driver so much. But for goodness sake enough already about the sound. All these UA-camr guys whining about the sound but yet bag ‘em. It’s an out door sport. What about these base ball kids using aluminum bats their whole lives in batting cages and at practice. Those things sound like canons compared to a driver. Hearing people whine about the Ping sound reminds me of an old man in his recliner with a blanket watching the PBS channel!!

Plus what handicap swing speed are you ? You tried the LST but got better number with the max ? The max is 460 head 425 LST is 445 ?

Definitely not sponsored. I pay full price for them. They just make the best drivers in my opinion. I definitely could but that means I gotta spend more money on drivers lol. I have a tough time spending money on them if I know they won’t go in the bag. I do have a very low lofted Long Drive driver that may have to make an appearance soon.
@@MijoMontego I was a Ping skeptic for the longest time. Played a taylormade M2 until it gave out, was dead set on a stealth or titleist driver. Ended up getting a g425 and wow... Totally impossible to imagine ever using another brand for a driver, forgiveness is on another level
I don’t have nearly your speed but deliver too much loft at impact with the Pings set to 7.5. Had to go to a TM 8 head turned down to 6 but would love if there was a Ping head that could get to 6.
Not sure if you or anyone has tested the hybrids, but is there any real difference between g425 hybrids and g430 hybrids? Sound doesn’t really matter to me just performance
Really if you're not in tournaments and just playing casually you could upgrade your clubs as you break them or wear them out. There's such small incremental gains year to year it'll yield maybe a stroke a round. You're better off not being a serial upgrader and using the money just paying for lessons and getting a formal fitting session once you want to get a fully fitted set.
The ventus 7x black with velcore. Tipped slightly. Really like the combo. I did back in the day! It was A LOT of fun. Had a pretty serious shoulder surgery in 2020. Just happy to be able to swing the club again. Right now I play professionally on mini tours. It’s really hard to do long drive and competitive golf simultaneously. I’ve tried before and the real golf definitely suffers. 😂
🤷♂️ could definitely lower the spin. But it could effect the ball speed/ smash factor numbers lightening up the head. At least that is what I have found with some heads. The 430 lst does have a carbon crown which the max doesn’t have. Do you like it so far ?
Love your energy and presentation but I do worry that not many were hit in the center of the face. Am I wrong? I have had a G425 Max for just over a week and so far I like it. I was gaming the Cobra Radspeed Volition model but the head busted (not due to my swing speed) and I am not sure I don't like the Ping better but can't quite explain it. Got a stiff shaft in the Cobra and a X-stiff in a 60 gram shaft on the Ping.
I’ve tried it on demo for a day. Definitely goes further but I lose a decent amount of control. Still trying to get one on loan from someone to do a proper test. Can’t justify just buying one for how expensive they are haha.
Request a digitally lofted head from ping next time in the lowest loft that they can find for you. That 9 degree head you have might be 9 or it might me closer to 10
They will hand sort thru them all if you request a digitally lofted head in as low as they can find for you. I believe they charge $20 for this only to get you exact spec you are after

There is a huge difference in sound, having owned both. 430 is the way to go

Having had both i prefer 430, i hit it longer and straighter than the 425. Easier on my hearing too.

absolutely not. Get the 425 with a mid launch, mid spin shaft. They're usually blue.
Or you could get a cleveland halo xl2 that costs like half the price and outdrives both them on distance with similar levels of forgiveness

I replaced the 26 gram backweight with a 15 gram. In theory, I should now have a 460 cc LST?
