Full Body Strength Workout with Light Weights for Beginners & Seniors // Barre Inspired

- You are going to feel great after doing this total body strength workout! Grab a set of light weights, (I'm using a set of 3lbs or 1.5kg) and chair or base of support for a few exercises. This routine will fly by with a quick but achievable pace and there are no repeats. The first part of the workout is standing where we will use our light dumbbells, then we finish on the mat with more strengthening for our butt, legs, core and back. These two sections total 30 minutes of work. The last 10 minutes is all stretching which will leaving you feeling relaxed, pain free and rejuvenated!
There are no timers in this workout, but I move to the beat of the music. Please go at your own pace if I'm moving too quickly for you. If you are feeling strong, you can use heavier weights, but always start with a lighter pair until you are familiar with the exercises.

You have done it again!!!! I loved this!!!! I keep challenging myself with new workout videos! I have been working out with you for almost a year now and I really see the difference!! Not only in my body but my flexibility and endurance! I am now up to 5 days a week and actually noticed that my posture and back achiness are so much better. I can perform my daily activities without looking for a nap or needing to rest my back!! Your videos have been a lifesaver for me. I love the way I look and feel at 59!!

Hi Lauren, I feel like I repeat myself each time, but this was a great workout. For some reason, when I feel sore muscles in the morning I think "YES! I really targeted this area in my workout". My lower abs are feeling it today and I'm so happy. I know I also say this each time, but I am so grateful that you and your husband take the time to create these videos for us. I know it is very time consuming, thank you!

This is my Day 2 of spending my mornings with these workout videos. They are exactly what I need! Challenging but not overwhelmingly so. Loved this! I now try to do new videos when they are posted. Some of them I discover are not for me, but many become new favorites. The variety of videos offered is one of the strengths of this channel. I think there is value in continuing to move your body in different ways .

This was exactly what I needed. I've been doing tons (could that be literally?) of yard work and pond clean-up the past several weeks. Clearing out and transplanting stuff while we still have some less than scorching heat in the mornings. I'm getting so close to my target weight. Good to be back at these workouts. This is a great one! The dance/Barre workouts are always a favorite of mine!!! Thank you!

I loved the longer stretch at the end.
So glad! If I'm being honest, I think the stretch was longer because I didn't plan it. The rest of the workout was choreographed ahead of time, but the stretch was on the fly!

Thank you for another great Barre workout, Lauren. I liked the mat portion better than the standing just because of Sciatica issues. I appreciate that once you come down to the mat you stay down unlike other trainers that love to go up and down like a roller coaster.

I did your pyjama stretch today during a break from writing a book for women living with infertility and endo (this has been my journey) and wanted to come back to this dancer routine this evening.
What a perfect way to relax before bed. This was wonderful. I discover muscles I forgot I had and there's no stress, your workouts are low impact and yet feel so effective. I think my posture is improving after only a week and a half of exercising along with you.
I've avoided active exercising for a long time due to pain but this has helped me in so many ways.
Moving your pelvic organs is important with endo and your routines help me achieve this and so much more.
I'm overjoyed to finally be exercising regularly again.

I always feel better after one of your workouts. Enjoyed the standing portion. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to even if a bit awkwardly do the floor too. Just slightly modified a couple like knees bent instead of straight for the crunches to keep the sciatic nerve happy. The legs in the air was actually a great overall stretch. Thank you for another Barre workout.

I am not in great shape Lauren, but I could easily follow along. I am not saying ti was an easy work out but I could do the whole thing which for me was so encouraging! I broke a good little sweat too! Love the Dance aspect as I used to do Modern Dance and I took Ballet in my youth and really miss that aspect in exercise programs I 've tried. Thank you!!!

How do you do it, Lauren? Another amazing workout! So comprehensive & fresh & all packed into 39 minutes! It was ALL great but I especially appreciated the deep hip muscle work. A lot of those exercises mirrored those from my physical therapist but it's so much more fun to do it with you! So thanks again for keeping this old broad strong & fit & enjoying the journey!
