- Thank you for joining me for this seated chair yoga class. You will feel energized yet relaxed after completing these dynamic movements. This is a great 25 minute workout that is perfect for seniors and beginners or for anyone who is not comfortable getting on the floor. I love your chair yoga and chair Pilates. I have been working out with you for few months now. Yesterday, when I was giving myself a pedicure, I realized for the first time that my hips did not hurt. Must be that figure 4 leg stretch we do! I'm 77 years old and find myself laughing when I'm walking down the street, telling myself "shoulders down and back". Thank you!

Been having medical challenges this past year and your gentle routine has helped so much. I'm through the worst of it now, I hope. Will continue exercising with you. I used to be a ballet dancer (I'm 69 now) and have come to enjoy gentle, mindful workouts instead of what I used to do. I've accepted my limitations and am making the most of them. Thanks.

I agree with you there, because I'm 41 and currently in a wheelchair while recovering from surgery. I never thought that I could go back to doing yoga for a while, but then someone recommended chair yoga to me, and I see that I'm still able to maintain a good amount of physical activity as well as get in a good mental space, so thank you and keep doing this

Loved your class. I taught yoga for many years (about 15). I had to quit due to multiple joint replacements. I’m now 73 yrs old. This routine is perfect for me.

This is exactly what I was searching for … yoga that was seated but pushed you deeper into the stretch … even though my partner and I are now retired we feel like we’ve had a good work out and thoroughly enjoyed it … have now also subscribed to your channel so we can work out daily and try some of your other routines … thank you so glad we found you 😊 🙏🏼

This Is exactly what I was looking for. A chair yoga that covers the entire body in a relaxing but good stretch kind of way. Many other sites rely too heavy on arms. these movements are basically the floor exercises my Dr recommened for lower back and hip pain. I cant get down on the floor good so these are perfect. So happy I found this and have shared it. Thank YOU

Starting to incorporate yoga back into my workouts. This was perfect. I have hip osteoarthritis as well as osteoporosis. I am gaining more strength in my hips and this will help tremendously. Thank you so much for your thoughtful videos.

Again, this is so relaxing. I have never done yoga, but the stretching was very pleasant. I felt my legs muscling from my back and hips. Thank you for this opportunity to work on my wellness. My deep knee bends at the wall are growing in number, and I am standing longer on my own. God bless you in your work. 😄

I just recently found you and you are awesome! I had bariatric surgery (gastric sleeve) a year ago and I'm working on mobility as well as weight loss. You give me the ability to stretch out, be able to get moving and to walk. Thank you so very much.

Thank you for this! I’m only 46 but I just had a total hip replacement and it’s been a difficult recovery due to the intensive damage suffered with my right hip being bone-on-bone for the past year. Although I was only able to do very basic yoga with modifications in the months leading up to surgery, I’ve really missed it since my operation! Your workout is exactly what I needed for some gentle movement and mental health!

Hi Lauren - I have been following your channel since the beginning of the year, and alternate the chair yoga/pilates/cardio sessions. I appreciate you and your teaching style. I walk daily, but needed to do something to augment that exercise, and your sessions are a nice complement to walking.

Hi. I'm a yoga instructor. This is my first time doing chair yoga ( doing it due to foot surgery). Love the class and Lauren is beautiful.Only thing, I was taught during my 200hr yoga training that all yoga breathing is thru the nostrils and not through the mouth. I've never taught chair yoga so maybe it's a different breathing technique? I love the class. Keep it up!!!
Thanks! so glad you love it! I try to keep the breathing simple and just allow whatever my viewer is comfortable with. I fully admit, breathing techniques are not one of my strengths and I find it difficult to cue when I'm thinking of 100+ things when filming :)

Wow! I feel so much better. I have cervical stenosis with radiculopathy and I think my pinched nerve is finally loosened up. Everything you did was to my benefit for my spine, hips, neck, and torso. Chair yoga felt wonderful. Getting onto floor for abs/core increasingly difficult. More standing/seated ab/core exercises possible?

Your peaceful tone actually helps me even focus at work... I do casually jump back in on what you are doing, but your voice is not distracting at all and I love this. I'm 44 with hip osteoarthritis so these gentle exercises are chef's kiss.
