Thank you Dr. Frita. I'm very grateful for this content. Most doctors won't tell you anything about foods. They just give more and more pills. I don't like to take statin meds,it causes pain in my knees and makes me stiff. I'm very grateful for your information. I have high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. My diabetes is getting better now. I just have to control the cholesterol. I eat alot of nuts and vegetables,fish. I will be doing more of the fruits with the chia & flaxseeds. I thank you so very much. I was today old when I learned that I have a rather high level of LDL.
So instead of immediately jumping on the statin bandwagon, I bargained with my NP about working to lower my LDL holistically as opposed to taking medication. He's "allowing" me to give it my all with diet and exercise for 6 months, (starting today, 3/28/23) which is why I'm scouring your channel. Thanks to your and your children for this video.

Have you looked into chili peppers? They are being shown to be excellent at many things, from lowering blood sugar to lowering inflammation, etc. I'd be curious if there is any evidence of their possible effect on LDL.

hi Dr. frida I just started following your channel. I take larsatin,rubastavin and metropolo can I drink almond milk?
I am taking the same medications plus plavix. Everyday I have a pea protein smoothie with fruits, yogurt, and almond milk. The chia and flax seeds can be added as well. Planning to wean myself off all of those and begin a healthy diet along with exercise and all natural supplements.
