DIY Homemade Eyeliner Pencil Version 2

  • Here's version 2 of my homemade eyeliner pencil series. This version is easier as it uses a pre-made base. It also shows a different way of getting the product into the empty pencil. Wax by nature is water proof and resistant depending on percentage. Smudge-proofing requires a little bit more to the ingredient by adding silicones and alcohols. Also, I have decided to make a 2-toned blue eyeliner with metallic flecks and a gloss finish. Enjoy!

    Thank you so much! I made the mistake of adding the color directly to the base. I’m glad I found your video showing how to properly make.

    I did something similar to this once in a pot and it worked wonderfully. I recommend a shallow pot (like an empty eye shadow pot) so that it's easier to remove with a spatula.

    Hi Koren,
    Awesome video as always!
    Just wondering though, if this formula will make the pencil liner waterproof and smudge-proof?

  • @silvike
    @silvike 11 років тому

    Cool to see you can do this by yourself, my question is, since the ingredient you used that hardens when cooled down (it melted above the candle), won't the finished product also melt on your skin and run all over the eye once it hits the heat of the skin? Would it need to be secured with a powder to stay put?

    wax by nature is water proof/resistant. Smudge-proofing can be a little difficult. Thats when you see all kinds of alcohols and silicones in the ingredients.

    I have a question, off topic but DIY related and u seemed th perfect man to ask. I mixed a few eye shadows in one larger pan for a different color pay-off and used alcohol. After pressing and letting it dry, it's so dry it won't get picked up by brush or swatches, what do I put on it to make it soft and be able to be pick up by brush (natural or synthetic)? Thank you so much.
