OMG, how incredible is that! I only thought that I was able to make gloss. That is perfect to make lipsticks that you love that has been discontinued. That happens so often, to fall in love with a color only to find out the company no longer makes it. Thank you so much for such an informative video.
@kelseybee13 the metal sets the bullet faster as its colder. Otherwise, pretty much the same, really - just prep-ing the acrylic one so the bullet doesnt stick to the acrylic and easier to pull out.

(I don't mean the molds or spoon or spatula, I mean the lip base, colors, gloves.) 2. I need color advice. My mother tried for years to find a burgundy (dark reddish with a tinge of purple) lipstick and never could and I'd like to make her some. What colors should I use? Red and purple might be too overwhelming a combo. Thanks!

@reicheru the lip base is a satin finish. If you want it moisturizing, you can add Vit E oil. You can totally custom to your liking
@cheenist yep - great way to recycle old tubes. Specially limited edition ones like Hello Kitty, Heatherette, Fafi and such.
