- (Level: ALL) Now I'm back to my regular winter/fall programing, I thought starting the season with a DIY would be awesome. After all, with the holidays fast approaching, many would like to craft and make some cool gift things. In this DIY Beauty Kitchen episode, I am showing how to make your very own homemade Eyeliner Pencil from scratch. Version 2 will be how to make it semi-homemade using a pre-made base, and version 3 is how to turn your fave gel liner to a pencil. Enjoy!

Who’s watching in 2021? ✨🙌I am so glad to find your video during this time. I miss this kind of videos, less editing and super detailed explanation and normal talking lol most tutorials nowadays they talked super fast. I’m am pursuing my makeup artistry in an Airbrush level. I have stumbled into your video about creating a mixing medium and now I can’t stop watching your videos.
Hi Koren, we realise you probably have covered every makeup ‘how to’ topic under the sun, but your fans would still love to hear your opinions on the latest trends and products. It would be wonderful to see an occasional video from you. Please. Please!
I'm glad this channel is still up and running even though he's not making videos anymore. I always get so much inspiration and knowledge from him.
rule of thumb is, the more wax content, the more it stays. but you have to find the right balance as too much renders the pencil too hard, and hard to glide on skin. Too much oil means smudging, and renders the pencil too soft, but creamier to apply. This recipe is just in between as I want it hard enough to stay but creamy enough to glide like silk.
I searched so hard to find your channel again for the nostalgia of your voice. Please make a video updating us on your life if you can!
Koren, I hope you get this...I MISS YOU. I hope your life will be such that you will be able to find the time to come back to UA-cam so you CAN SHARE THE LOVE. Wishing you joy, happiness, peace and hugs 😻😻
2:46 lololol "fail, fail, fail" Oh Koren, your cheerfulness and laughter is contagious.
I miss the low maintenamce editing from back in the day...ahhh...if only youtube wouldnt have changed
I love this!!! I actually bought some empty pencils and then realized I didn't have the darndest idea on how to get the stuff inside them! I knew a lot of the methods I was finding on how to fill just would not work for exactly the reasons you described, so I just gave up and stuck them in a box :-/ You have renewed my spirit to do this, thank you :-) Thanks for your videos and all you do, I really appreciate your sharing your expertise with the rest of us.
Loved the video and learning how to do this. The one thing I would like to have seen is if the eyeliner smudged easily or if it dries to a finish that doesn't smudge or slide.
absolutely
Oxides and FD&C Dyes stay true as it actually colors each ingredient int he mixture. Micas can look sheer depending on the ratio as the powder particles only suspends on the mixture, but looks colored to the naked eye.
OMG! That video tutorial is awesome! I've been waiting for more of your tutorials. I missed you. Glad to see you were working hard though.
I've enjoyed watching you for years and have learned a ton! Thank you for sharing your method for making liners. Must try!
I thought I'd stop by, I haven't been around in a while. I'm glad to see your still up and running and still doing what you love to do, and you're good at it! Happy Holidays :-)
I just love your instructional videos! Can't wait for the next two versions and the jumbo pencils.
Thank you very very much for making such a amazing video for us to learn.
Fantastic! Thank you, Koren! We really, really missed you!!
miss you so much - hope you come back to you tube soon!! God bless!
Joy Marriott Finally!! Someone had that in mind. I did the same thing like 6 months ago. But I tried to make a lip liner pencil I sharpened it and used it. I WAS THE BEST THING I EVER DID. It was just like a lip liner that they made at a factory. But free and better.
you amaze me, the way you do all these things at home that we don't even think is possible. i always thought you need special equipment or ingredients. thanks
Welcome back! This is awesome definitely want to try this one day!
depends on whats in that particular MAC pigment. If its a lot of fillers and just mica, then it wont stick to the lips. If it's mainly Oxides and Lake Dyes, then those will stick to the lips.
Thank you, this was just what I needed to learn. You are a life-saver! : )
Holy Cow!!! That was so cool! I would love to do that for a lip liner. It's hard to find the perfect gothic dark blood red lip color in stores. LOL! ;)
I made it but I hadn't empty pencil so I poured to a contact lens container. It works perfectly !
Grettings from Hungary!
Using a pipette for suction is brilliant! Great video, as usual.
Koren, I just have to tell you that you have the most perfectly adorable nose I've ever seen. Seriously, I wish MY nose was that cute! You have the most compelling face with tons of character, warm, friendly, "puckish" eyes and perfect ears. Wrap it all up with that dynamic personality, and your adorable nose is like the bow on the birthday present! Do you realize what a unique, fantastic face you have?
I've learned so much from you - thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Honestly I am not good at math, so therefore won't spend this time. However, seeing this you are AWESOME! Why has this video only seen 500+ times? I can't understand it...I am fascinated by you! Please keep these coming!
GET BACK HERE WE NEED AND MISS YOU DEAR😦
yes, it doesnt have any alcohol ingredient.
That took a lot of steps, but it was awesome to watch. You could make your own brand of eyeliners :)
Jumbo pencils. I'm excited.
comes to about $1.25 (+/-) a pencil, considering the empty pencil is I believe 75 cents by itself.
I'm impressed and this is the first video that I've seen on making your own eyeliner pencils. Have you thought about selling those?
OMG... this is awesome!
i actually love this fella! he puts me in such a good mood!!!!!x
Best DIY I ever saw
Koren! Hope all is well with you. Can't wait for Version 3. :)

i probably would never try this... but i like watching u talk. welcome back koren. lots of love from south texas.
I just checked - its actually 5 pencils for $1.45
You have a great smile!
Wow... Awesome vid for us DIYers out there!!! Thank You so much!
Thank you for sharing. Really appreciate you showing us how easy it is and the method. Just wanted to point out that the recipe is way too soft and smudges easily and gives raccoon eyes. Is there a better recipe or suggestion on what can be done to make it smudge less? ~Thanks
Try adding more wax to make it a more preferable consistency.
Woo glad u r back! Love all ur home made recipies! It always works! Love u!
That scoop N' Scrape Spatula kinda reminds me of a Cuticle Pusher and Curette combo

the pencils are plastic - so acrylic paints works on them. Consider non-toxic acrylic paints if you decide to take that extra step of deco-ing the pencils
why are you so awesome Koren!! this is great
Thank you! That is beautiful!
Dude! You are a genius! Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to try
I am in love with your tutorials! You are extremely talented. I need help to find a way to make a cream eyeliner like the elf brand but in colors that I would love. If anyone you can help me you can. Wow. I'm loving this. You are absolutely amazing. Do you have one for cream based eyeliners?
big smiles! LOVE THIS! Thanks Koren for all you do!
GENIUS!
I missed you =D
Is this version waterline safe and resistant?
Waiting for the third version I've some dried gel liners waiting for another life.
this is incredible!!
I'm wondering if non-pros like most of us could try to make an easier version with pigments or mineral eyeshadows (loose).
Thank you so much! 💕
Hi Koren, On those gel liners that get dried out, I saw a video that said that you fix them by putting them in the microwave for a VERY short time and that restores them. Once they dry out again you do the same procedure again. I have not tried it though, so I don't know if it does work or not.
Koren you look great!
awesome video! would this work for cream gel eyeliner too and do you have a mascara recipe ? :)
