- I use this homemade mascara as my everyday mascara because its natural, lasts well and is really affordable. I have always considered products i use around my eyes as the most important to be natural /free of nasty chemicals, and mascara is one of my regularly used products. I have been making this homemade mascara for ages and is a combination of a few things i have come across over the years.
DIY Natural Mascara Recipe:
- 3 capsules activated charcoal www.iherb.com/nature-s-way-cha...

- 1/2 tsp soy wax or beeswax
- 3-4 tsp aloe vera gel
Melt the oils and wax together in a double boiler. Add the aloe gel, then activated charcoal. Mix thoroughly, then transfer into desired container.

Omg. Best mascara I've EVER used. No joke!
It really is:)

@@alexisleger647does it work
Fr
Is it waterproof?
Aaaahhhh! I'm supposed to be studying but now I want to make my own mascara!! ^-^ I love this! What a great channel!
Yh exactly same I have RE Athens science I’ve already done 2 lessons and then I have lunch and Spanish
Honesly, the quality of a mascara isn't in the formula, it's based on how good the brush is. So this tutorial is perfect because even though the formula might not be as great as the store bought mascaras, as long as you use the right mascara brush, it'll look great. I recommend the maybelline falsies or the miss manga one :)
Thats what I have come to realise! ❤️❤️❤️
+Hasini J pls how many tablespoons/teaspoons is the activated charcoal?
+Ela Gale ♡ pls how many tablespoons/teaspoons is the activated charcoal?
Yes that's a very smart way to look prettier... )) I already got the products needed, and gonna try )) I'm sure together with my evening Cherish Lash serum routine, it will make a great change for my eyelashes.
True! Maybelline falsies lift brush is so perfect! 💯
you always inspire me,Ela! I might not be old enough to wear mascara, but I watch all of your videos STILL and STILL love them no matter what!! you keep doing videos on the things you care about because it's always more fun and inspiring to see someone with TRUE care about a certain topic!!!

What ON EARTH! I did not know you could make mascara by yourself. Thank you SO much for this!! I'm hyper sensitive to many chemicals and was sad I couldn't use barely any makeup, especially mascara. I'm so trying this out. Thank you! I'll check the eyeliner recipe too!
Hi Ela... Your DIY's are all natural...All your recipes are close to Indian ayurvedic forms...And I really love it...Hats off....
Thanks Brinda! ❤️
+Ela Gale ♡ pls how many tablespoons/teaspoons is the activated charcoal?

So glad I found your UA-cam channel again 💖
I also found with recycling old mascara tubes you can take the top inner part out to easily clean out the tube. Wide rimmed tubes are easier to clean just to keep in mind!

I looveee this mascara❤️It works amazing and it's so good for my eyelashes! Thank you! Quick question-where did you get your shirt from in this? The strapless white blouse is beautiful❤️
This is a great tutorial! And congrats on 100 vids!
I made one out of toasted almonds, argan oil and activated charcoal, it works wonders ❤️
I made it and it was a good recipe! love that its all-natural and good for your eyes... it looked great at first, but I dont know... for some reason it turned into chunks under my eyes... I was wondering if maybe I should add sth more or less to fix it?
Wow. So cool. Your own mascara. I'm going to try this
It seems easier when you do this! It's awesome to be able to know what's inside my mascara.
Very nice. This helps me in developing my own mascara product.
I'm going to be trying this recipe soon :) thanks Ela!!
Great video on how to make a natural homemade mascara. Thanks for sharing
Omg!!!! Your eyes are soooo pretty!!!!😍
What a great idea ! I'll Deffo give this a go at some point :) . Love your videos you are so creative ! Keep up the good work :)
Thank you!! Love the recipe and your vids!!
What brand was that mascara originally? I love the bottle
Hi Ela, I'm keen to try out this recipe but am concerned about using aloe vera gel as I have heard that it shouldn't be put near mucous membranes. Is it safe to use around the eyes? Thanks for all your really inspiring videos!
you can also use a baking syringe. you pull the Syringe apart and put you mixture inside the tube of the Syringe and then put the end of the Syringe back on and it help you transfer the mascara formula better with out risk of mess
Deffinatly trying this i hate spending loads of money on a product that is bad for me when i can make it myself for way cheaper and it is better for me i love you so so much your voice os so calming and ypu seem reallt down to earth ly xxx
you can also take 100% natural olive oil gel mix it with crushed burned almonds and you have mascara
I'll try it later!
Do you happen to know how long it lasts?
This looks amazing! I am definitely gonna try it! :)))
Amazing! I can't wait to make this. Thank you!
Thank you so much for this DIY! I've purchased natural mascara before for $18 and it will be nice to make it for a lot less.
thank you for this recipe, I really want to try it, I would just like to know if the beeswax/soy wax is absolutely necessary?
Wow. This is amazing 💕
really loved this recipe
You're my favorite youtuber now.
BEST TUTORIAL EVER
Love love love this. Will be trying this soon. Thanks for the recycling tip! I've only seen this recipe on blogs where people buy new containers.... Love the recycling idea!!
+savedbygrace pls how many tablespoons/teaspoons is the activated charcoal?
Thanks for your nice information, do you use the natural aloevera ? Can it being safe during the keeping
That's really cool!! Ur so creative on ur videos! It'd be great if u can do a comparison between ur natural cosmetics and the bought ones, their pros n cons so we know what to expect! :P
Thank you Ela again for sharing your recipe with us :) Your channel has such valuable and handy content!
❤️❤️❤️
I will definitely try this! One question though, which Aloe Vera did you use, the one you buy at store as a leaf and you cut up and blend or was it Organic Aloe Vera from a jar? If so which brand? Thanks so much.
I used a toddler medicine syringe to put the mascara in and it worked great!!
Hi Ela is there a certain activated charcoal we should use as I bought one from a health store & when I opened cap it seemed little gritty - maybe ok when melted. Thanx 4 vid xx
Hi! I made a mascara similar to this but it was an utter failure. I'm going to try again but with your recipe. I do have one question. Does this mascara dry as well as normal mascara? I had issues with it rubbing off if I simply touched my eyelashes. Could I use more beeswax to achieve a better sticking mascara?
please do more diys!! i love them😊👍👌💖
Hi. amazing video. one question, is there an alternative to coconut oil? Can i just leave it out?
Can you use the left overs for a face mask
What brand is that mascara bottle?
Ahhh this is so cool!
I love all your videos!! I truly believe in what your doing.... I do have a quick question about the plastic bags you use sometimes.... do you have the recycle green plastic bags where you live? I've been buying those because they are biodegradable, and just thought maybe that would help with the plastic bags being used for mascara etc.
Great idea!!! But What do you use to wash it off? Water?
That's really cool! I wish I had some activated charcoal.
Thnk you for making this and helping people like myself find a healthy alternative.
loved it
gonna try it
Very clever!!! I'll be trying this out :D
Yes that's a very smart way to look prettier... )) I already got the products needed, and gonna try )) I'm sure together with my evening Cherish Lash serum routine, it will make a great change for my eyelashes.
Hana Ramadan Does the oils get in your eyes? 👀
AMAZING!! IM GONNA TRY 🙏🏻
Hey, im from NZ too, I was wondering where you get your aloe vera and vitamin Es etc from.
Are there any vids on making black or brown eye liner or gel/pomade?
Love it love it love it 😍😍
You are definitely the smartest girl on youtube!
I've had issues with eye infections and my corneas are a wreck from makeup and contact lenses so I don't wear mascara anymore, hoping this will be a good alternative
Is it okay not to use any vitamin e? Can I just use grapeseed oil in replacement for that?
Hi Ela, thanks dear for this beautiful video.
What could probably be the shelf life for this mascara??:)
Lovely video! What brand of soy/bees wax did you use?
Love it. But what oil can I use to replace coconut oil... im allergic to coconut oil.. (like swollen hives. . Choke to death, allergic)... plis and thnx
wow. This is so cool.
Why didn't I find your channel earlier? :O it's fabulous!!
nice video Ela , but I have one question how can I make this mascara smudge free ???
I just made this and loved it! But the only thing is that the mascara is not drying. Is there a way to make it dry??
Thanks for the great tip❤️love your videos your also really beautiful💗
I love your hair so much♥♡♥ But how did you get that ombre blonde/brown i love it
Very cool. A natural mascara. Thanks
