- How to Crochet ENTRELAC BORDER EDGING! Finish Those Triangles / Easy Tunisian Tutorial
Let's finish the edges!
Now you can fill in those PESKY edges on ANY of your Tunisian Entrelac creations! I show you how to make those half-squares, and it's just as easy.
It will help tone down any curling and gives you a nice base for any border you might want to use.
You don't have to settle for your Entrelac project looking like the bottom hem of Fred Flintstone's (or Barney's) clothes anymore! 😆
Ciao friends! If you are so inclined, you can now buy me a coffee. It really helps the channel, and I could use the caffeine, so thanks! 😉 www.buymeacoff...

Thank you for this great video. Learned all i´ll need by crochet along with you.
I have to watch more of your videos 🥰😊
❤ , I appreciate this so very much.
Can t wait to work on this pattern/ design. I’ve got to get my Christmas projects done first but I’ll save it for later. You explain this so well and it’s easy to follow.
Thanks Amy! Did you see my previous Entrelac tutorials? I have been on an Entrelac kick lately! And more to come!

@@ThimbleHooks I did and it’s gotten me motivated to tackle that project as soon as I can. By just looking at it, it looks so hard but as you said it’s great when you get the hang of it.
As I said before, you make it look so easy. This is going on my to do list. TFS
Thanks Wanda!
Good morning. I'm new to your UA-cam. I've never tried the entrelac stitch so this was interesting to watch. Thank you.
Welcome Vonda! I have been on an Entrelac kick lately. Be sure to check out these Entrelac videos as well! Bethany

Thanks, I finally got it
That's wonderful Victoria!! I'm so glad! Bethany
I’m sure it isn’t, but this looks to be the most difficult to do. But I’m sure once I try it, it will be easy peasy following along with this tutorial.
Somehow I imagine you will have no trouble figuring it out...😉
OMG, I originally asked if it was possible to do your reversible technique on a horizontal with changing colors each row. I wish I'd found your channel BEFORE interpreting a poorly written pattern. I hated how it looked and, after watching your wonderful videos you sent me, I ripped out 19 rows. Yes, 19. Worth every stich out, too. The problem was the pattern was missing the very last slip stich on row 5.
I am now on row 2 and there are no ugly gaps between squares.
Again, Beth.....you are my new best friend. Jennifer
Thank you for the kind words Jennifer - I am so pleased that it is working out! Bethany
I love tunisian crochet!! I crocheted a blanket recently, filling in the edge with the triangles. My question is about the 4 corners, is there a pattern for those corners to make the overall blanket squared?
Hi Regina! I have had several requests for that and am working on a solution that is easy (as I do) and beautiful. The problem is that with variegated yarn, like I prefer for these types of projects, these corners could stick out like a sore thumb. I am working on many projects right now, but I promise this one will make it to the top of the list in the next several weeks. Keep an eye out! Beth

May I ask how many chains did you do for your baby blanket? The reversible one? Thank you 🌷
I'm pretty sure that I show this in the video jlee, but there are 12 squares that are 5x5 for a chain of 133. You can see how to figure that math out by watching the video here:

Love tunisian crochet!! Have a question....do you have a way of edging the outer corners with a triangle?
You have my attention Regina, but tell me more - I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Do you mean you want the 4 corners to come to a point/large triangle? Bethany
No, instead of the edge triangles pointing inward to fill in the zigzag edge, but an outward pointing triangle to make the blanket square
Got it Regina - Working on it...! 😃
Hello. I was wondering if it is possible to add entrelac to a straight edge tunisian simple stich. I have started a baby blanket and thought it would really cute to add entrelac around. Thank you very much. I love your chanel.
It is really hard to do Entrelac straight Jennifer. But you have my creative juices flowing - I'll have to give it some thought... Bethany

Thanks for your reply! I've been fiddling around a bit myself since the baby isn't due until September so I have time. I've done a round using your "corner". I thought I'd try "reversing" the finishing half blocks. ??????

I think this is going to work! Yay. I don’t know how send you a picture in UA-cam.

Thanks.
I’ve FINALLY finished my reversible entrelac baby blanket (thank you!), and I want to fill out the V’s. HOWEVER…I am not sure I’m doing it right. I may have messed up somewhere along the line making the blanket, because not all the edges in the V’s look the same. So, does it matter? I mean, as long as I find loops to crochet into, start off at the top of one side of a V, end up at the top of the other side, keep going, and it looks decent and filled in when I’m done, it doesn’t matter how the sausage is made, right?
You should be just fine Debbi.
@@ThimbleHooks thank you!
Kind of excited about crochet entreloc. Tried it in knitting but the mess on the 'wrong' side turned me off. I will be watching these videos several times. I have a couple of baby blankets coming up. Need to practice. Thanks.
Oh GF, you HAVE to watch my reversible entrelac video. NO WRONG SIDE!
One of my favs...

You can still use this Fill In video as well. Bethany
Where can I find the video for that beautiful border?
Hi Susie! I assume you are referring to the red one in the picture...
it is the easiest ruffle ever. 5 single crochet in every stitch all the way around your finished blanket. Simple as that! Bethany
What do you do on the corner where there is two blocks tog please
Hi Sally! I do show this in the video, but I am putting together another quick video version of the corners right now and will release it VERY soon!
Entrelac is HOT right now! Thanks for the question! Beth

Is it possible to make a reversible using traditional entrelac?
Hi Jennifer!
Yes, it is. I do that here: ua-cam.com/video/W5xgWxtRvWw/v-deo.html
And I make a hat with it here: ua-cam.com/video/qbep4OKBgjE/v-deo.html
Hope that helps! Bethany

Thank you! I'm in the middle of my first multi color project. I saw your reversible and was ready to rip out all rows and start over. You're a doll!
