Hi everyone, hope you're all doing well and enjoy the video. This is a pattern using a tunisian stitch but you do NOT need to have experience with tunisian crochet or have to use a special hook for this. The loops and sizes I show in this video can all be created with a standard crochet hook (even one with an ergonomic handle). Hope you give it a try. It's so relaxing and addictive. :)
I am so glad i came across this video. I've only been crocheting for about 3 months, but I've already decided i want to do this technique for my temperature blanket next year. The way you explained everything will help me plan how big to make my squares to get the blanket size i want, along with how to work the changing colors.
This is a great tutorial! You explained everything so clearly and went slowly so I could follow along. You have inspired me to try it! Thank you so much for sharing this! ❤️🙏🏻💜
I started this stitch, it is so fun to do and watch my blanket grow! I was getting worried about the curling, but had I watched the entire video BEFORE I started my project, I would have known not to worry! Thanks for everything you do to help us newbies out!
Now I'm really worried about the curling. I'm 8 colors in, and it isn't curling anymore. It's rolling! Top and bottom together. Could it be the hook size I'm using? It's a 4.0 maybe too small, or squared to small? Foundation was 12
@@karenchiasson4169 hi Karen, don’t panic 💕 it’s very normal for there to be curling with this stitch due to the method and the fact that there’s more fabric in the back compared to the front. You’re not doing anything wrong . A bigger hook will help, yes . Go up 1-2 hook sizes larger than the yarn recommendation. Looser tension will help But that’s kind of hard to do. And then blocking will help too. Once you block it and add a border it should be fine. If you haven’t gotten too far , I’d do a test with a larger hook and see what you think. Keep me posted 💕
@@PlayHookywithMe the blanket is almost finished! Talk about a fun stitch! I have never blocked a project before, and I searched your page for a video. Did I miss one? Do you have a video on how to block a blanket? Could you possibly create a video on how to? The ones I have watched are for clothing items and not blankets, pretty sure it would be the same steps, but I just don't know.
@@karenchiasson4169 I haven’t made one but I will. But for now, it’s really simple. You’ll want to pin it to a mat of some sort - and either spritz it with water or use steam. I have a kids rubber mat that fits together like a jig saw puzzle. It’s cheaper than buying the squares intended for this . But really thats it. I’ll start working on something more in depth but hope that helps 💕
thank you thank you for this awesome video..I have been watching so so many recently but yours just made me understand what the heck to do. Now I can start my afghan
@@billgrover9421 unfortunately they don’t have that option here on UA-cam but you can send it to me on Instagram or tag me in a photo there . Same name as my yt channel. 👍🏻
Can you do a video on a reversible C2C Tunisian crochet blanket where you don’t change colors, you just turn your work? It makes a really cool checker board blanket that lays nice and flat because the blocks alternate. Plus not so many ends to weave in.
Possibly, but I think that would be quite challenging to keep track of the pattern with this technique. You might want to try a single crochet or double crochet graphgan instead if C2C is too gappy for you . Just a thought 🧶

I just had to let u know after watching this video at least 20 times or more....I got it. Again, thank you...
Awe 💕 I’m glad it helped , I only wish I had explained it in a way that was easier to understand!
Excellent instructions, you’re a great teacher. Glad there were no music. It’s a distraction to me. Nice voice for instructions. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it was helpful! ❤️
@@PlayHookywithMe I started a blanket and it’s working up nicely.

Wow another supper great CLEAR video, have a wonderful day
Much appreciated 😀👏🏻💕
I’m so glad I found this video, I didn’t know how to decrease my entrelac and I would have accidentally created a square which I didn’t want 😅
Glad I could help! 💕💕

Wonderful! I’m so happy it helped it “click” for you. I appreciate you letting me know 😀💕
Your tutorial is wonderful!!! It’s far less intimidating. Each time I try entrelac it gets messed up. Thank you!!!
Oh good, I’m so glad you found it useful! 😀🧶💕
I love it. It was a straightforward tutorial thank you
Thanks so much, Suz! 💕
That was so easy to watch and learn. Can’t wait to try it.
THANK YOU! I'm trying a "Double Irish Chain". I'll let you know how it turns out. Excellent video
Oooh, sounds amazing. Yes keep me posted 😀💕🧶

Love this stitch
Thank you !
Goood tutorial. Sadly, I messed up half of my entrelac blanket without realizing it... Im gonna have to fake it till I make it.
Awe damn, I’m sorry to read this 😐💕
@@PlayHookywithMe Thanks. I'm just going to keep going on ahead, but correctly. I'm hoping it isn't too big of a tension cause later.
Very beautiful
Thank you !
Hi keep the great work going
I luv this one!!
Thank you so much 😀💕
Very well done
Thank you !
💜💜💜love it
Thank you!
Could you use this for a graphgan? I don't love the gaps in c2c and have been wanting to try tunisian crochet anyways! Thank you!

any tips on how to stop it from "leaning" to the left? i can't figure out what i'm doing wrong 😭
Gosh, I’m not sure what is happening to cause that , I’m sorry 😕
I tried 6+2 and ended up with 8 loops and I skipped the first stitch
🤔
