I have watched many videos trying to understand this pattern. This is by far the best explanation. The others used even numbers , this is uneven stitches and it turns out perfect. The edges are very neat. If the music bothers you , stop complaining, turn it off and if you can't follow at this speed, then slow your speed down. It is definitely worth it. This is the best teacher I have watched!
I think it means "any number"; either way, this stitch is called "smock stitch" so if you need written instructions or other videos, you can search for it with that name 😊
