I actually have a question, albiet my fav event was a v limited shiny Giratina from b2w2 prior to XY's release I was thinking, is it possible to manipulate the seed of an emerald save via e-reader?
Nearly 20 years later, and people still find ways to enhance Pokemon Emerald. Im glad you went one step further and were able to incorporate puzzles into the event. Great stuff as always blisy! Thank you for your hard work on this. Now I need to get an ereader haha, bc you know... I love the Nintendo E-Reader
These older pokemon games mirror ssbmelee. In the way that a decade+ after release, and through multiple new games, they continue to inspire people to play them, experiment with them, and create new things based upon them. You've done all 3 here, well done
While I love the Nintendo E-Reader, I must say the fact that you have a love for the gen 3 games as strong as you do is amazing to me. It literally looks impossible to do this to me and it is baffling that you've accomplished what you have, and for that thank you. (I'm also trying to get a shiny 5 IV Raikou on colosseum thanks to your help right now, and you weren't kidding I never want to do that again and I haven't even finished yet) Thanks for all of the helpful vids!
I wish the mainline games would experiment with events like this. Specifically, the puzzle that unlocked Unown as an encounter on Route 113. I always thought it'd be neat if, instead of rare encounters that only popped up at a 1% appearance rate, it'd be cool if there were side quests where you could engage with certain activities around the world that cause certain Pokémon to appear in a zone. It'd give more engagement with the world and give you more of a reason to revisit older areas.
God I love this stuff!! Breaking down a game to add things or create entirely new ideas is what glitches are all about. Huge respect for you and the effort put into this. Not to mention thank you to everyone who helped make it possible!
Seeing all that can be done years later in this game is incredible! I'm in awe of the amount of time you put into this and the knowledge you have. Excited to see what else you cook up in the future 😁
This is absolutely insane!!! Giving updates and expansions to a 20-year old video game! Really goes to show the dedication and love the fandom feels for Pokemon! I love the Nintendo E-Reader
I can't believe I just watched this now, this was MIND-blowing to watch your thought process on making the events and how everything was made. Using the unused Legendary Beasts theme for these events shook me. My jaw is on the floor, this is incredible work!
I have no idea how you figured out all of this, but it's amazing that you not only did, but also scripted your own 'legal events' playable on the game. This is amazing!
I love the Nintendo E-Reader Thank you for doing these events! They’re so cool and I’m so fascinated by the way you accomplish all of the on unmodified hardware. You’ve absolutely sparked my interest in lower level programming/hex editing again so thank you and fantastic work!

So many limitations/obstacles to overcome and yet this set of events pushes even further beyond what I would have thought possible after seeing all that went into the initial set. Congrats on making these revolutionary events a reality, and thank you for all of the time and effort you’ve put into this.
The amount of dedication that this must have taken to get to a completed state. As someone with an unfinished abandoned hack, big kudos. I have wanted to see someone pull this off ever since I saw Emerald had that unused code. Very cool.
Well this isn’t a rom hack, so it doesn’t involve nearly that amount of work. Honestly the hard part about this is that I can’t change functions or add stuff to rom lol.
I know very little about coding, learning basic python and r at uni and homebrewing various consoles, regardless this is so amazing and I love watching these!!! It's simply amazing to see the things you can create and how you overcome all the issues

I love the Nintendo E-Reader Amazing job and what a great list of events amazing. My personal favorite or rather favorites are the Celebi event and the Legendary Beast Event(s). Absolutely stellar video man!!
Hey! I think that another method that might be actually very convenient is using uploading the distribution rom on a nintendo ds r4 card. Years ago i unlocked every official event available for my region through this method, it doesnt require having the tool to back up an official gba cartridge, and it also doesnt require 2 gbas with 2 adapters. I dont really know the logistics behind it, but i know SO many of your viewers (me included) would be able to experience your events. For clarity, what i mean is having both the r4 and the gba cart in the same console, while booting up the distribution rom and overwrite data on the gba cartridge. The distribution rom i used was able to detect and display the pokemon version and region i had in the gba slot, while also showing every possible legal event i could unlock on
This is so cool, i think it's awesome that you put so much effort into these. I know very little of coding but your videos inspire me to learn more :D Keep on being awesome blisy!
I Love the Nintendo E-Reader! Incredible work, man. Very in depth, and very interesting to see more and more ways to squeeze even more life out of the gen 3 games despite the storage limitations.
I love the Nintendo E-Reader! I have all of the original hardware and would love to experience these games again with my son. These new events would be just the thing to make the game fresh and enjoyable for all generations!

It's amazing how you managed to increase the player experience in an "official" way. But I think, do you still intend to do more mystery events for this game? One idea I have in mind is to make it possible to obtain PokéCoupon berries from pokemon colosseum. Ganlon berry, salac berry, petaya berry and apricot berry. They are really hard to get (and i think some of them may be unobtainable) It would be really cool if u had little event quests to get these berries without needing to play colosseum Edit: i did some research and found that the unused pokemon in altering cave have 5% chance to hold these berries
This is super cool! I wonder, would it be possible to port the e-Reader exclusive berries to Emerald as well? I believe in Ruby and Sapphire, they just modify the Enigma Berry's stats, name, and appearance. Perhaps that would be possible in Emerald as well? It would be nice to be able to get the Nutpea Berry in Emerald, as it's one of the only ways to get maxed out contest stats in every stat.
I love the Nintendo E-reader ! this is a really amazing feat. i was never able to get any of the legendary beasts when i played emerald as a teen. this makes me want to dig out my old copy and try to get this event working! thank you for your hard work on this

I always wondered why more weren't made available. I still have my GBA and E-Reader in working condition, so it would be so cool to use it once again for these custom events

Entei is probably my favorite themeing, because it's so strong to the movie. But Raikous are my favorite actual puzzle I came up with, and implementation.

I love the Nintendo e-reader , such an amazing video, i cant believe the innovation you use to transform a 20 year old game despite Nintendo's past efforts to prevent it. I also love the atmosphere you created with the dog trio's trials. Felt like classic gen 3 mystery

I love the Nintendo E-reader
Thanks for doing this and showing us the process behind it! your videos are always so interesting and help me see these games i loved as a kid from a whole new perspective
This is really cool! I kinda wish I could use this myself, unfortunately GBAs and its accessories are insanely hard to get, mostly due to how pricey they are now.
You can do it on emu
This is why I’ve always loved Pokémon.. So many amazing creators out their doing anything and everything to make the game just better overall.. First time I’ve seen any of your videos and overall just impressed.. keep this up! It’s nice to see everyone’s creativity in such amazing and beloved games..
Love this community!
I love the Nintendo e-reader , such an amazing video, i cant believe the innovation you use to transform a 20 year old game despite Nintendo's past efforts to prevent it. I also love the atmosphere you created with the dog trio's trials. Felt like classic gen 3 mystery
I love the Nintendo E-Reader, and I love what awesome members of this community are able to accomplish. It's truly incredible watching your work on these exansions to the GBA games.
Need to buy an e-reader now to get this!!! Great work as always
I love the Nintendo E-Reader
Not only do I love the Nintendo E-reader, but I could stand to use these cards considering I only have Emerald!
Raiku's puzzle, while complicated, is pretty genious.
I love the Nintendo E-Reader
I thought the Jirachi event was cool and now you unlock emerald to make universal dlc, damn!
