vespa 125 is actually the fastest but piaggio put a speed limiter so you won't lift off when you get to 300 mph
Pedantic fun fact: the sr71 blackbird is STILL the fastest manned airbreathing aircraft on the planet. All 1960's engineering, paper schematics written with rulers and pencils and wing envelopes/aero profiles worked out in notebooks with mechanical calculators and it still hasn't been one-upped. The flight-manual listed method of missile defense was throttle, as it was nearly twice as fast as any missile in production at the time and it worked: in it's service life more than 4100 missiles were fired at it with zero hits. it's hard to fully wrap your head around what an insane human feat the creation of that plane was with the now-laughable resources we had back then
Jon Sands There are videos of them out running missiles. One of the funniest things I've seen. Yet the Xmens blackbird is getting shot down and pulled out the sky almost every time it's flown. And I believe it's supposed to be the fastest blackbird in "existance". If you get my perspective.
Love the comic book facts with the real world facts!
@@JaxRhapsody The X-Men Blackbird is going up against modern missiles, not cold-war missiles. The key words were "any missile in production at the time". Not "any missile ever".
@@PeterKoperdan The MiG-25 was also meant for a much less stringent mission profile. It didn't need the range, nor the stealth aspects of the SR-71 Blackbird, meaning that the Russians were much less constrained in the design of the aircraft. It could afford to be extremely heavy even without weapons because it was never meant to have a long range, being an interceptor.
@@Gustav_Kuriga Well, I I'm not saying that the MiG is better or as good. Just that it is an incredible feat of engineering when we talk about super fast planes and that it was achieved by the Russians.
I really like these types of videoe
same here
Same. They kind of remind me of the history videos on RCR.
Amazing videos! Interesting
please do more of these vids, theyre amazing
Great video once again, I wish this was your full time job. Love all the documentaries!!! Thank you for your hard work subscriber #2
Thanks for the praise!
I've hit 170 mph on my 2011 ZX14. I have a few videos of this bike. This bike scare me like a black guy in a Dodge Charger with tented window scare a white cop.
That's scary...
Murdered it again. Killistrator doing work! Love getting these notifications.
Thanks lol, did you change your name?
- The illestrator - no bro, been Miko Polo for a few years. Old FZ6 rider from Pittsburgh. Old bike, old rider, and 2 credits shy of political science minor for my degree in history. This is why I love your content, it's perfect.
I absolutely love the research, the classical music playing in the background, the memes, and the narration style. Keep at it, bruv! 😁
Love these bro! So much work probably goes in to these. Good job man!
Another great piece of art! Well done man! Keep it up!
I love 90s bikes!
That makes two of us
You nailed it! entertaining and informative - love it when you do these types of video.
Thanks for making these videos on the speed wars. This was my favorite time for motorcycles.
Great videos bro, really enjoyed both. Keep up the great work.
Tbh dude I can't get enough of your videos when I first saw a video from your channel I thought you had like 2 million subs but no the quality the timing everything your videos are all so fucking perfect the quality of your videos is better than all Moto channels I've seen yet I'm glad I found your channel these videos always cheer me up and they are informative too THANK YOU FOR THIS MASTERPIECE OF A CHANNEL called The illestrator
Well now i'm blushing XD
Thanks for the praise.
Hey man, just wanna say this is a super under rated video series. The way this was presented is really good. This video is Hella slept on and if you wish, I would like to see an third epaidoe which basically catches it up to date and discusses potential future fast bikes, both electric (as much as we may hate them) and petrol powered
another impeccably well made video my dude
You’re killing it 💪🏼
Bro this is another banger looking forward to what you drop next great job
Great stuff man, stumbled onto part 1 last night. Subscribed.
Thank you for subbing!
You making really great vids man, most of the motorvloggers never think about that shit, learning a new thing very time I watch you vids, keep it up 🤘
That's the goal. I just want to make boring topics interesting
Another great vid. Glad to see the busa get some of the spotlight. You definitely had me waiting to see this video after the first one.
Thanks for checking it out 602
Awesome video. It’s criminal you don’t have more subs. Keep it up though, I love these.
Man, this video was great and I love the historical content, you're killing it! 👍🏽👍🏽
Awesome video man. Even better than part 1
I watched part 1 n 2 in one go n never felt it was too long... so much interesting facts to know...
Awesome video! You're combination of tongue in cheek humor and "Hood" insight is BRILLIANT.
Blackbird owner here, not a regret having the fastest 1100, but you forgot to mention the CBR1200XX Super Blackbird 50th Anniversary edition that hit 198mph.
dude, i love these documentation style videos from you.
Its not too long, another great vid. Good Job man!!!
been waiting for this to drop, lovely!!
Absolutely an amazing video bro .. good work
this is why i subbed bro. you're an amazing story teller
Another fantastic piece of work 🙌🏻🙌🏻 honestly this wouldn't be out of place on the TV 🤌🏻
Awesome video! I would like more of that. Thank you very much for your good content.
Well put together video, as usual!
I learned more in your two videos about the Japanese speed wars than any of those fancy motorcycle sponsored channels 👍🏻 thanks for another professional video
My brain is swollen from facts! Your video is much more comprehensive than other speed war videos. Subbed and 👍
I heard of the top speed war but didn't really know. These types of videos make me really interested so I wanted to look it up but I held back waiting for the next part of this masterpiece. Let's go
Thanks for the praise, glad you enjoyed it.
Yeah; Honda, Datsun, Mitsubishi etc were far more "liberal" when it came to the automotive arms race, compared to how ruthless they were with bikes.
"We all agree to keep it friendly with our cars."
"What about motorcycles?"
"Fuck'm, we'll make a motorcyle that'll make theirs look like a scooter in comparison."
your channel is the best man..please do make these type of videos
Yo, my man, yo videos are crispy like BACON !!! Best motovlog on UA-cams... I fuck love this channel
Great series of videos. Thanks for putting them together
Thank you for watching!
From the point of view of the people involved (Japan and Europe) it wasn't about the 200 mph, it was the 300 km/h barrier, and Hayabusa broke it out of the factory. That why the government went "300 is enough, no more, stap. What's next? 400?". Bikes after that are limited at that speed 300 km/h, not >190mph. May sound like nitpicking but I find it to be quite important on a topic so relying on context. That's why it's so symbolic that the H2R broke 400 km/h for example.
Excellent video, I learned so much. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!!!!!
Patiently waiting for the second part. Dope!
Sorry for the wait!
Wow. This brought back a lot of memories. I remember arguing w/friends in high school about this. Great vid.
In no way is this video too long.
Good to know...I was basically penny pinching on seconds like "ok this one word doesnt need to be included" lmao
Ha! No, man. Fast-paced, organized, interesting information with relatable visuals... damned thing was over too soon. Or, ok, maybe just right to watch during lunch.
You make it so much more entertaining and easier to understand it, love it!!
Thats the goal!
The yamaha part lmao 😂😂😂 nice edit bro
Yamaha was just full of themselves lol
That was an absolutely fucking excellent video. The wait made it better. I knew some of this shit but not the full story. Well told, light hearted. Keep up the good work brother! 👌👌👌💯💯💯
Over hyped with this video... Great work... 😍
bruh this vid u put together feels like documentary on discovery channel or idk man. its super good, keep it up!
Just bought a Busa aftuh' watchin dis... you helped me make this decision
2J Rider please don't become a Busa bro
Now get a proper exhaust and drop 30 pounds bulk. PRONTO!
Man, the editing gotta take forever, great job, also, i leave a like for the music selection.
These informative 'history of' type videos are great. Idk why I find your voice so soothing lol.
:3
Id love to see more vids like this, pure fantastico!
Stick around, I do them every now and then
That was absolutely brilliant. Thank you.
I love your vids bro. Keep it up
you got it
As a kid I was always obsessed with motorcycles, I’d steal motorcycle magazines from doctors and dentist visits. Cut out all the CBR pictures, but when I saw the GSX1300R in print....?! I lost it. Turned into a stalker, visiting showrooms, taking pictures and shit. Took 19 years but I finally bought one new. Lol and it’s the same bike. Love it.
Sick vids brah... Sounds like a bike night around here
Coolest history lesson I've ever seen, my bro!
Great vid, man!
Love your videos man!!! Shit is fire. Great job.
I hate when im at work and you upload a video gotta wait 3 more hours to watch still got like and favorite it tho
Amazing thank you....... very informative and entertaining..... Bravo
Thanks for watching
Please more historical vids I love your style
Keep an eye out for more of them
Oh man I love that intro for the hyabusa. YES YOU BROUGHT UP THE NAME TOO.
I've looked for 7th gear on a couple bikes with the shift light flashing in 6th. Your style of humor and editing makes me want to see a video about Joey Dunlop's skills or the Y2K unobtanium that a lot of us wonder about. I knew you were an RCR viewer before the drop as I also use the Ken Kaniff/Scream Movie voice to mess with people whenever I have a new phone number in my hand. Carry through
Nice Video!
Keep up the good work! 👍🏾
Thanks
its good to finally see a you tuber with unbiased ( non-fan boys) and factual videos. I get so sick of these motorcycle guys who review bikes and the misinformed bs pours out of there mouth. The minute you correct them or point out that if your going to review please give the correct info they get butt hurt and turn into a a$$!!! thanks for keeping it real man. ZX14R ride from NY
Watching this in 2022 and it’s still golden
Smashing it my man !
Thank you
I loved everything about my 99 busa except the super snatchy clutch. Great vid.
Amazing and very in-depth learnt a lot Keep it up
Kawasaki, that guy who always one ups you in every story. Love it.
Excellent job . nailed it
I don't comment on videos often but man this video is good
My "beater" is a 1987 Yamaha FZ600
5 Valve
Delta box
All that stuff
Made 65ish? Hp new.
I like it because it's easy to ride, easy to fix and parts from 400cc and 750cc bikes fit on it.
Love the videos! Keep em coming 🤙
Nice content....I have 83 750 Seca I use as my "beater". Keep up the great work and the first round is on me.
nah. never too long.
That's a relief. I was like "who TF is gonna sit through this for 20 mins?" XD
Kawi returned with h2r and it blew everyone to the smithereens.btw v nice video and i really loved and enjoyed it.
The best! Keep it up!
Great video, but you before the ZX-11 and Blackbird war, there was the Honda Hurricane 1000. Man, that was my dream bike in the late 80s. And one of the first productions bikes built in a wind tunnel!!
Awesome video bro! Your UA-cam started booming I remember subbing to you because you had the same bike as me the YZF600 now look at ya haha
Thanks, I honestly miss that bike.
- The illestrator - I still have mine, if I ever meet you I’d let you ride haha. Recently rebuilt the carbs and it runs like brand new!
Amazing watch once more! Cheers :D!
Cheers!
Yo dude, what would you recommend as a starter bike. You and some other UA-cam have inspired me to try and get my hand on a road legal motorbike. I've got experience on a 450cc Honda dirt bike but I got no idea if they're the same as other road bikes.
Sorry for the essay btw..
Id recommend any of the 250s, 300s, anything old that isn't a sportbike or a high output inline 4. Won't be anything for a beginner thats as snappy as your CR450.
Yo...you make good videos my dude..turbo busa for life
Great video as always, and I can't wait to see what suzuki will do with the next hayabusa.
Word, i'm more interested in the styling though. Like are they gonna keep that old design
- The illestrator - that's what I'm wondering because the busa hasn't changed much in style.
Nice nice nice. A+. Good work timing out the music at the end, too.
Oh that part is easy lol, strategic music drops.
ahh yess finally some good content
Great video but its a shame you couldn't find more of the Gen 1 Busa footage to use. Still an enjoyable watch.
thank you for entertaining me, I now go for a ride
with a japanese motorcycle of course
I LOVE THESE VIDEOS.
:3
Said it before, im saying it again...I love your commrntaries!!
They should make a Top Gear US Bike Edition! You'd be the star bro
Lmao, that's flattering.
Great video man. The FZR's had ram air intakes as well you know
Your videos ROCK!
And this is why I subscribed
Love the vids man and for the limiter just get a T.R.E
PART 2!!!!!
So good my bro. I'm so happy I found your channel.
*Squid Life Is The Only Life*
I'm happy you found it too lol
Awesome video
