Gojira is one of the most important bands of the last decade, keep em coming.
Last 15 years
Shit… I’ve been rocking them since ‘04… their whole discography is amazing… they are thee metal band after all others.. only now in the last 10yrs have they really gained traction, they’re more important than people realize
They’ve been around for longer than that too but you’re right

I love how you guys are like a physical personification of the left and the right halves of my brain listening to music. Separate and different, yet together as one.
Right, this gave me a deeper appreciation for their unity because he did great explaining the lyrics whereas she is into the music itself the most and vibing to that. Both sucked into their own worlds but equally experiencing the song
Guilt is a great emotion to feel, it keeps us in check, teaches us not to make the same mistakes. Holding on to that guilt is what is destructive.

Gojira and Meshuggah are two of the best live bands. They always sound super tight and just like their albums while playing live.

I have seen hundreds of live bands and been to dozens of festivals and I can honestly say Gojira is the most professional of them all...they just don't miss a beat, always on the ball 100% and never phone it in. I once heard them described as 'sentient metal'...and it's prob the best description of them I've heard, totally accurate. And Lex your a gem, always get me smiling. :)

As any outlet, letting out any built up stress or emotions definitely helps to relax you, and since Metal deals with a lot of heavy negative emotions it's a good outlet for anger and sadness so after any emotional outburst you'll typically feel more relaxed. Obviously these are very dependant on the person and their experiences but as a general thing.
Lex is totally right.. Metal consumes all kinds of emotions, For me it is teraphy, it keeps me calm all the time. No matter if im sad or angry or what ever it is. I always go into metal. It specially gives me courage to do what necessery need to be done.

Ona aside note I saw them at the New Daisy Theater in Memphis, TN 15-17 years ago with Lamb of God and it was still the loudest concert I’ve ever been to! Lamb of God was great but Gojira stole the show

Most of the time, yes I agree, Muad’Dib. But, a song like The Art of Dying is hard to replicate live… and I haven’t seen a live version I like as much as the album version. Same with The Heaviest Matter of the Universe. So I wouldn’t say live is better across the board… just mostly better. It’s a case by case basis.

Favorite song of mine, after my sister roasted I connected with this song so much. Mario the drummer played with my snare my drum company built for me on this song live. Thank you guys for reacting to this song.
The snare was a tribute entree to my beautiful sister, Mario is a great friend of mine and he specifically played it on this song, song makes me cry every time I hear it because your right we shouldn’t feel the guilt of not doing enough
