I just ordered a used XT4! I'm hoping to enjoy it. Especially coming from the Nikon Dslr 5300 with a kit lens. Got a really nice lens to go with it too. Hoping to shoot concert stills with it and everything in between! Really nervous but also excited
tbh people are not appreciating the improvements over the x-t3 enough.. No one mentions the redundancy video recording that the x-t4 have over the 3, which is worth it on it's own for the piece of mind it brings you, the f-log assist as well, not to mention the bigger and better battery. Yes, the image quality is the same, but it isn't just a X-T3 with IBIS, it's a great usability improvement over the 3! My only gripe with the camera is the video recording limit.
Incredible, thanks for your input! Yep definitely missed some valid points here, nice one. 👌🏻 I agree the 30 min limit is a little annoying, but I’m used to working around it now. 👍🏻
I have an Olympus omd em10 mk3 and im looking for an upgrade, and while i would like to stay with the m43, im asking myself if its really better the 26mpx fuji sensor than the 20mpx of the olumpus omd em5 o the newer omsystem m5. I like to shot in manual with manual lens and idk if the fuji good things can compete with olympus stabilozation and such things.
I mean I always say if it isn’t broke then don’t fix it…. Unless you have the money to spend then go ahead 😂 I’ve never used the OM system cameras…. As regards the xt4 it is awesome and you do get those customisable film simulations. Thanks for your comment 👍🏻
I got the xt4 back in 2020 and it was fun but fell off of it for a while …BUT here I am in 2024 almost 2025 and I fell back in love with this camera. Shot a wedding with it and the black and white tones from Acros…omg!!!
Just started & paused this vid to make this comment. I've also subscribed as I just bought an X-T4 w/ th 16-80 kit lens today (2nd hand) and love it. Your early comment about the camera being from 2020 and that being a long time in camera time ago, made me think. I agree a camera released in 2020 was probably miles ahead of a camera released in 2016. Not sure when my X-T1 was built but I can confirm that after half a photo walk, the X-T4 is WOW, such a better shooting experience (even more for the EV-Z10 this is replacing). With that said, a few things happened between 2020 & now that would have affected dev cycles much heavier than the '16-'20 4 year cycle. Not trying to argue it's not "old" tech, but maybe gains between 2020 & now aren't as substantial as a 40mp* sensor lends you to believe? Basically I'm trying to say, just like we should give people grace in dealing with the landscape of modern society, tech probably has some stunted development and that tech hasn't aged as much as the numbers on the calendar suggest. * If I didn't get as good of deal on this as I did I would have bought an X-T5. Ok, now to watch the rest.
That’s awesome, I think the xt4 is my favourite Fuji camera actually! Despite owning an xt5 there is something about that camera I just gel with a little bit more. The 40mp sensor is great on the likes of the xt5 and it’s awesome for photography but your limited to a smaller number of lenses that can actually get the most out of that sensor. How’s the 16 - 80 lens? Sounds like a really handy focal range and I’ve not had the pleasure of using that one yet. 💪🏻
Rad vid! My bud who does pro shoots for real estate out in Maui recommended this camera to me. I'm just getting started, and only using for promotional shots for my property in Joshua Tree, CA and looking to get this camera!
It certainly is worth it! I have 2 of them and 2 X-H2's. and a couple of XT3's. We used the XT4 for many of our videos, from VOGUE to ELLE to Bazaar to Grazia and the output is outstanding. Great kit!
Should I be using autofocus with continuous shooting when I’m trying to capture things like maybe people running, playing volleyball, or just doing motions where I I want to capture almost every bit of something let’s say a man twirling his date in a dress. Would I use auto focus with continuous shooting then?
You’ll have to have a play around with it, so many variables when it comes to this sort of thing. In general if your not confident with manual focusing, the xt4s autofocus isn’t that bad for most normal applications like you mentioned! Personally I wouldn’t rely on it but there are loads of settings to customise how your autofocus responds to different situations. Sorry not the most clear answer but yeah it just depends lol. All the best with it and have fun 💪🏻👍🏻
should I get the xt30ii or xt4? I'm a complete beginner but I want a flip up screen and a little bit more video capabilities, which the xt30ii doesn't have. I mostly wanna get into photography but I still want to have the option to take good videos If I want to haha
With the firmware updates that continue, I love my XT4. It's a sleeper and a steal for anyone who wants to buy used. As much as I'd love to own an xh2s, I can't seem to sell my xt4. It's plenty good.
I think out of the two, if money isn’t a component in the decision go for the xs20, better autofocus and more modern… if your on a tight budget the xt4 is still awesome in my opinion. I used it today 😝

Awesome stuff! It might take a little time getting used to a new set up but once you do… 👌🏻😎

Same here. I rationalize it by remembering that we are in great times when a cinema "Film mag" is now 30 minutes long!

I love my XT-4. I skipped the XT-5. But the XT-6 is coming. Can't wait. :)
👊🏻👌
In 1-2 years
no this year actually @@paulchoccyt1303
Between October and June we will get the XT6. I’d get an XT5 but I want the XH2 EVF
Can you save custom WB along with the custom recipes on XT4?
Yes you can! 👊🏻

Much appreciated my friend! Yes it is a cracking camera for the money, I still use mine to film videos for UA-cam and casual photography. 🙃👊🏻

Amazing, thanks for sharing! 6 camera set up aye, every angle possible. 😂👊🏻👌🏻

This camera lacks of a good Continuos Autofocus, so I don't recommend it for High Speed shooting

Absolutely agree, don’t think I’ll ever sell mine! 😂

i think xs20 doesn’t have weather sealing.
Nice 👌
Why you scrunch your face like that? Over emphasizing
Thank you, you're absolutely right... I'm an over emphasising scrunch face, guilty as charged!! 🙃
