Great review! I have 2 of them and 2 X-H2's. and a couple of XT3's. We used the XT4 for many of our videos, from VOGUE to ELLE to Bazaar to Grazia and the output is outstanding. Great kit!
When the xt5 came out, I bought two xt4's (one black one silver) secondhand with 1700 clicks for the same price as one xt5 body. Still more than enough for most of my photo/ video needs.
If you're a pro, especially for live events, weddings etc, two bodies is almost a must. You have a backup in case one breaks and you can have two very different focal lengths ready to go at all times
Nice review and much appreciated. I had great success with the X-T3 as I became more adept at video. The X-T4, with IBIS and the beefier battery, is just that much more capable, and will continue to serve anyone well that doesn't have or see the need to shoot in 6K or 8K.
If you’re doing street photography with the XT4, you have to use the linear motor lenses to get decent auto focus! Having both the XT4 and the XT5 the XT5 is better at auto focus, but not significantly!
Shhhhhhhh..... I'm hoping everything you said at the end will become even better when the 2024 new stuff comes out! LOL! It's interesting, I have an X-T3 and your thoughts really mean that it is pretty much as capable of shooting great video as the X-T4 as long as you use a lens like the 18-55 with OIS. Based on what you said here and other videos I've seen, the X-T4 IBIS isn't a feature that changes the game a ton from the X-T3. But, that battery definitely is a nice upgrade. I've been pretty much a photography guy so it hasn't been a big deal. But, I'd like to get into video. I have played with shooting video a little bit recently and want to do more. I would be interested in hearing more about your AEL method. To me it seems like the X-T5 release kind of put a shadow on the X-T4 because people with the X-T3 now want to go to the X-T5 instead. That is good for the used market prices though. That's how I got my X-T3. Everyone was moving up to new stuff and Fuji had just done that $999 price drop. So, I got my barely used with the 18-55 and other stuff all still in the box like new. Well, thanks for this timely video. Happy New Year!!
I've been using the TX4 for two years as of now. Usually using primes and manual focus for still scenes. I rarely want to move around for video as you mentioned it can't be bad with its hunting. Overall a wonderful hybrid camera that does more than well enough video footage for most people.
2024 and I still use XT4 for video. Not perfect but still good. Photography, well haven't used it for awhile as I use my GFX, but I wouldn't mind using it for photography at some stage.
so with the autofocus issues and not being as great for video, is there a better Fuji option not including the X-H2 due to its weight. Needing a travel video camera and something for selfie video while walking around. X-T5 and X-T50 don't have fully articulating screens so those are out
What about someone with an x t30 which he wants to sell for the image stabilization of the x t4, because of the 30+ vintage lenses he owns, but wants to avoid wasting money for GAS.
@@LDN_BOX I kept the small x t30 with the zoom and the 35/f1.4 for it's small size, and bought the LUMIX S5 fullframe for an incredible price for my vintage lenses. Arrivederci speed booster. I just fell in love with LUMIX to be honest.
You're right, the xt5 has no grip contacts, so no battery grip possible. That's why I prefer my xt4, I can shoot a few hours on 4k dci 200-400mbps for a few hours with the excellent grip, also I have a rig for the camera with the grip, a rig for the camera without grip, and a simple photography grip with a wood handle and a t with arca swiss.

Why 2?
@@myself3209 because I shoot with one with 27mm other with 75mm, I don't need change lenses on events/ weddings. And I prefer to have two same camera.

The X-T1 is still a respectable photo camera in 2024. Don't let anyone convince you you need to be running after the latest gear.

Couple questions
What type of card does it take to record on?
How many power zoom does it have?
Do you have to film in 4k?
Thanks for the video...

How about body material compare to xt5? Aluminium, plastic?
It sure is worth it! I’ve captured some great photos and videos with it!

X-S20 will work well😊

What did you end your doing? I am thinking the same

X-T4 or X-S20?
No more work horse… it’s my main tractor… my main ho, my right hand, left foot, anything but work horse
You can also get a battery grip for the XT4, which gives you three batteries to draw from. To my knowledge, there is no grip available for the XT5.

My question allways, "still expensive?"
