Look at it this way. 1. Individual probably did not have a license to carry (Broken law #1) - Odds it had a hi-cap mag (possible broken law #2) Suppressors are illegal in New York State ( broken law #3) Murder (which I think is illegal everywhere). It is almost like criminals don't care what the laws are- imagine that.
The one thing not mentioned, is a good majority of the ATFs revenue is the $200 tax stamp they get the proceeds from. That alone, makes me doubt a ban will be coming. They literally cannot afford to ban suppressors. Why do you think they tried making pistol braces a NFA item? Not for safety reasons (like almost all gun laws) but for a means of more revenue. They need more money.
It was never about ATF revenue. I suspect it’s about forcing people to go through them for a product and also potentially pooling the money into investigating potential NFA purchasers. Any person who knows about the true purpose of the $200 tax stamp at ATF might have been forced into signing non disclosure agreements and violating non disclosure agreements is legal action against any person in ATF forced to sign an NDA but that doesn’t disqualify unaffiliated citizens from making educated accurate guesses to pop the tax stamp pimple.
So the obvious solution, abolish that agency entirely. Then there is no reason to keep the cash cow known as the NFA to generate that revenue if you have no payroll to make every month.

If this was the case I think it would be incredibly ignorant and fear based decision. Given the city it happened in has already made suppressors illegal. You can’t put a law on evil. The faster we learn that the better off we’ll be.
They won't stop us from owning suppressor because they don't want to lose out on the $200 per nfa item. One thing the government can never have enough of is money
Suppressor or not, this guy was getting schwacked. The suppressor didn’t make it more or less possible or make the weapon more dangerous. But in the end the law abiding citizen will pay the price
They can't stop homemade suppressors. Just like they can't stop Glock switches. 99.9% chance that was a homemade can and the reason for no nielsen device, hence not cycling. So they will double down on banning suppressors where they are already banned but we will still see them come off the NFA or at least off the stamp part.
I feel like the government pays people to make a point and point the finger and h then bond them out change their name and states that dude looked homeless
Would have been same result with or without the Suppressor. Except he likely would have been more accurate with his shot because he clearly never used a Suppressor before.
They absolutely will try to get more restrictions on supressors.🤷♂ This is not a hit, it is personal. The killer is likely terrminally ill and United Health likely denied treatment. Just my two pennies.🤷♂
Literally waiting for Silencer shop to send my ready to certify email to my local gun store and this happens. Just my luck to pay 1800 bucks and then they get ban.
Bumb stock ban is the only thing I supported. It’s a spray and pray device that’s pretty much all it can be used for. Only reason for them is for a cool factor with near no control or spraying a crowd of people.
@@weseehowcommiegoogleis3770 I’m 100% pro gun %100 pro suppressor ect. What is there to gain from a bump stock besides the believe that there should be no control of firearms by government (well there is in this country and that will prob never change). My point is the bump stock is a just uncontrollable spray device. You can get forced reset trigger now that you can actually have 100% safe control over the weapon as if it was a full auto that you can shoulder. I just don’t see the purpose of a bump stock besides spraying 10 home invaders at point blank walking through your door (very unlikely) or a crowd of people.
Personally, I don't think they can regulate suppressors any more than they already are. We keep wishing and praying that they get removed from the NFA. We look at the number of suppressor ownership and everything else, but let's face it, the chances of suppressors getting off the NFA is the same chances that Marijuana becomes federal legal it's just not gonna happen.

Kinda odd for sure that the incident was caught on camera.

And we will keep on spreading the word on how to 3d print them. You can’t stop the signal.
If anything, it shows that gun control will NEVER work.
I had a feeling this would happen.

We already pay enormous prices with our health insurance every year
The fact his gun couldn’t cycle was all the more reason for suppressors to be removed from regulation.

It happened with braces and mags etc. and it happened last time they were talking about legalizing mufflers. I think it was in New Jersey.
Oh yeah, you know, they're gonna use this.Stuff on thit's not.Let's just see what comes of it
Try this in Texas hahaha
No
I dnt think they r gnna use it for any. they r shook right now and have other stuff to worry about . Like trump fixing shit.
I can see them making the tax stamp $1000 and people will still buy them

More dangerous, not so much
