Fun fact for corrosive ammo shooters that don't already know. It's the primer compound that causes the corrosive property of the ammo, which is a salt (if I remember correctly). Best way to clean a firearm after shooting corrosive ammunition is to use boiling water. It dissolves the "salts" and evaporates off of the steel almost immediately, make sure everything is dry and add your lube of choice
I mean if the water evaporates off it would leave the salts behind. that's just basic chemistry so what it's really doing is just spreading the salts around. you'd be better off washing it multiple times with boiling water then wiping it down after

Scott you need to contact Matt at the Demolition Ranch and ask him what he’s done to HiPoint pistols as torture tests. I bet that Glock would not survive.
Hipoint are ugly as sin, but owned the .45 before and I dare say it’s the most reliable one I’ve ever owned, even more so than the Glock, SW, etc. I fed it clean, dirty, Russian steel, brass, aluminum, hot, etc and it didn’t even matter…never once had a failure and it was actually accurate too. Plus, the hipoint warranty is THE golden standard warranty. A company that stands by its warranty 100%. The criminal looking down the barrel doesn’t care if what’s in your hand cost $100 or $1000…
@@Deetroiter I bought a HiPoint 9C when they first came out, it was 165 dollars out the door, used it for a truck gun. It would feed anything I put through it with the exception of hollow points. I took it to my buddy who gunsmith’s and he polished the feed ramp and barrel, there was a burr that was stopped them from feeding. After I got it back I put thousand rounds through it with no issues. It was heavy and ugly but built like a tank.
The ocean water Glock just made me think of something really dumb. "Coming this fall to theaters near you..." "Gaston Glock's *Glock 19: The Way of Water"*
2:14 Prediction: All four pistols work fine and have only cosmetic damage, and all the ammo still shoots. Scott's not the only one to forget a Glock overwinter in a car or carry it soaking wet for a season, or tie one to a the bottom of a buoy line so you dont actually have to on body carry while swimming, or bury their glock until the heat dies down. It's a pretty thorough search team that finds a Glock inside the turkey in your deep freeze, that's all I'm saying.
This is a very cool science experiment on the Glock. Proof that they are very well made guns and reliable. The salt water gun survived so well. Awesome video Scott and makes me happy I’m a Glock owner.

i just love how scott posts enjoyable and good videos every week. keep up the good work scott ☺
Thank you for the pin 📌
we cant forget scooter as well
What a pleasure to hear Scotties everlasting enthousiasm, this brightens my very day, everytime, all the time..!
Scott your videos are the best, always a good day when you post, relaxing and entertaining as well as informative. Keep it up brother
How would one know if their ammo used this corrosive primer
Old chinese and eastern european surplus is what would most commonly be corrosive in my experience @@stewartyates4510
I use Windex. The ammonia pulls all that corrosive stuff and powder residue out of the barrel. Way easier than boiling water
I mean if the water evaporates off it would leave the salts behind. that's just basic chemistry so what it's really doing is just spreading the salts around. you'd be better off washing it multiple times with boiling water then wiping it down after
@@berennicholas5003my immediate thought. Salt doesn’t evaporate with your boiling water. Duh.
12:42 I was afraid he was going to fire the one filled with dirt with his hands… I was like please don’t have this be another incident

15:40 Scott using his left hand “just in case” 😂😂 by the way love you videos
Scott you are the funniest gun guy i know keep them coming.
I love when the guns jam on you hahah 😂the council man jam will never get old haha. Been away for awhile but im back to watching your videos.
Still amazed at the recovery youve made from the accident and the mindset you have to keep goiing!!
0:19 I'm surprised Scooter could see Scott looking through the bullet hole in the glass when the projectile took that long to make impact
Trying this series of tests with other guns would be interesting. I've heard Vietnam stories of buried AKs being dug up, having the bolt kicked once then running. Could make it interesting to run all of these tests on guns known for their reliability.
Good to know that all those guns lost in boating accidents will still be functional (to an extent).
One of the best educational channels I've EVER seen on UA-cam. Reminds me SO much of mythbusters and the diacovery channel shows inwatched growing up. Each episode is so consistently good! ❤❤
The “You just got jammed.” will never get old. The past couple of videos have been good for them.
I was watching Demo last week and every time he had a jam I felt like something was missing! 😂
Hey Scott thank you so much for making videos for us this is the best Christmas present here!
just wanted to take a moment to say that you and your videos and positive energy have carried me through many rough emotional patches. keep doing what you're doing, scott
also, i knew glocks were reliable, but. . . their cosmetics are something to be desired. . .
Glock is like Toyota, extremely reliable but boring lol
@@Midnight_Dark you're not wrong lol
@@Midnight_Darkand a deagle is like a bmw looks cool but not too reliable
20:15 bro your gun safety is either spot on or slap tf off. Got a possible squid and was pointing and attempting to eject it in the most wild way with your body facing the camera man and the gun pointed down towards your limbs smh
Scott you need to contact Matt at the Demolition Ranch and ask him what he’s done to HiPoint pistols as torture tests. I bet that Glock would not survive.
my thoughts exactly
You have the best intros out there ngl
That's for another year of great vids bro ! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
The ocean water Glock just made me think of something really dumb.
"Coming this fall to theaters near you..."
"Gaston Glock's *Glock 19: The Way of Water"*
2:14 Prediction: All four pistols work fine and have only cosmetic damage, and all the ammo still shoots. Scott's not the only one to forget a Glock overwinter in a car or carry it soaking wet for a season, or tie one to a the bottom of a buoy line so you dont actually have to on body carry while swimming, or bury their glock until the heat dies down. It's a pretty thorough search team that finds a Glock inside the turkey in your deep freeze, that's all I'm saying.
So, how much copium are you on?
You just got jammed
What an odd set of things to say.
@@Roxas13XIIIliterally zero. They all were able to fire. Any handgun would “fail” these tests.
@@9770G M&P 2.0 would like to have a word with you
This is a very cool science experiment on the Glock. Proof that they are very well made guns and reliable. The salt water gun survived so well. Awesome video Scott and makes me happy I’m a Glock owner.
I want a whole episode done by Scooter!! Great video really enjoyed it!
Agreed
Besides true torture testing these Glocks, your channel brings entertainment value for the public, who may or may not know firearms. Good job sir.
Many thanks, Scott👍! That shows the difference between myths and hard reality. I also like my Glocks and I am sure that products from HK or Sig Sauer, which I own as well, will behave similar. Have a nice Xmas and take care! Kind regards from Germany, Frank
Every gun functioned fine. In just about every case, It was the ammo that failed, not the gun. This is a testament to Glock’s legendary reliability.
Great video, Scott! I would like to have seen what each Glock would like after being thoroughly cleaned and oiled.
Hopefully a follow up video with just that.
I want to see that also
Based on how badly the ammo seemed to deteriorate I'd be interested in seeing how sealed ammo would hold up to the same/similar tests.
I watch this guy all the time. This is a good video. Look what he puts these Glocks through and how dependable they are.
Hey I love your videos man keep up the good work
Great video Scott! Can’t wait to see what’s next
16:45 Glock became California compliant
5:01 🤣 🤣 🤣 when he came up to the camera yelling it gave me 7th grade football coach “yelling at me because I messed up the play” flashbacks. 😂
The intros always got me rolling on the floor😂
Should do a Glock that's been in a fire and see if it'll still work
Would be interesting to do a chronograph reading on the tortured ammo
Great video man. I appreciate all the effort you put in for this one. Only really commenting for the algorithm.
Immediately clicked when I saw it was another episode of Adventures with Scooter
The idea someone would have to go on vacation to find ocean water is absolutely mind-blowing to me right now.
Depending on where he is I. Kentucky, he would have to go to Mobile, Al/Pensacola, Fl(the closest south) or the Carolinas. Probably 6hrs on the low side.
You do know there’s a lot of people that live nowhere near water, right?
@@midwestbd7144 Thoughts and prayers go out to them.
6:12 Very funny Scott, very funny.
Best glock joke I've heard 🤣🤣.
Great video! You put a lot of effort into your videos. I really like watching your stuff and I like that you leave a lot of scenes in the edit.
The most common torture test you've done is doing it on tables. Happy holidays !!!
Tables and Houston Jones
Keep up the good work!
You just got jammed 😂 23:22
It's impressive how durable Glocks are. I also remember when you blew one up, it blew in a way that wouldn't injure the user, so even if it does somehow fail you won't get messed up.
Brandon Herrera has a video of him burying an ak and testing it
Summary: The Glocks will survive everything. The ammo wont.
I can only imagine somebody going into your deep freezer instead of pulling out a turkey or chicken they pull out a frozen block of Glock
Oops lol
Excellent Video Brother!! Happy New Year.
RIP Gaston Glock.
Você é incrível!....sempre alegrando os meus dias com seus vídeos malucos ❤️
Scott please be safe your getting a bit to risky. Stay safe and have a Merry Christmas
I completely agree. I don't care if we all "know it's unloaded". The 4 Rules of Firearm Safety exist for a reason.
R.I.P. Gaston Glock 🙏
