Ie, the golem was not shaped well enough for a backhand like that to do any real damage.
Among the points already made, while she may not have fully prepared for the Golems strike, she was certainly ready for It. Which can make a big difference In how hurt someone gets.

It’s fantastic and if (somehow) Vanripper ever ends up reading this, thank you dearly for this series.

I looove how the whole animation feels. Some moves and shots are working really good! The atmosphere is just amazing! Oh, and the audio is timed very well!
I really enjoy the way you don't hold back on the effects on the enviroment. So many shows are all about stating someone's power, while completely neglecting the effect that such strong energies would have on the enviroment around them. I really enjoy the change of pace in that aspect here.
the world and character design in this is really cool, but man what keeps me coming back is the level of character packed into kocia's movement! She really just oozes this lazy poise, like she refuses to move more than she absolutely has to, yet she's always showing off at the same time. shes a real joy to watch! keep it up man!
I think the character has so much personality simply because of the tired looking eyes. That darker color around them makes them feel very unique, and unlike characters we’ve seen a million times before.
Man... i wish this was an extended story set into a game. A simple, no fuss, no muss game. No music, no extra bits, just a quest with many secrets, some that remain untouched... like the lock on the sword.
There's so many different vibes i can pull from this, it's just so awesome. Samurai Jack, Destiny, even No Man's Sky! Absolutely loving this concept and animation style, definitely intrigued. Can't wait to see the next one, no matter how long the wait!

My theory; Attack damage can be resisted with level and armor, but fall damage (including damage from falling objects hitting players) can not.
