The rat king's skull hasn't been replaced and his eyes are still loose, the snake king's still got the sword holes in his head, and like tophat said, the fish king is having trouble breathing. and the fly is still decapitated.

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It’s not a story the Jedi would tell you. It’s a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. I love how even after 5 years people still come and revisit this animation and new people still come and watch it. It's a great animation and I'm glad a lot of people are still finding out about this dude.
He doesn't even want power. He doesn't care about ruling things, or enjoying a life of luxury, or controlling the laws and people of a nation - he just wants to _be the king._
Most of them are queen tho it said all their name in the credit and the title of most of the snake are queen the pumpkin is a lady the skelaton is a queen
I noticed how everyone at the feast of the dead did not have a crown, except for death. And then Death gave the crown away so he could keep having a party. I bet the crown for him didn't really matter to hi. as much as it did for the double king
I think it was supposed to signify that there is no mark of power down here. Death rules all and they must recognize its power over them. Giving the giant crown was simply a way to show that even with such a large sign of power, the double king held nothing.
Pretty sure the point is that the crown means nothing. Even though the Double King held so many crowns in life, he did not fulfill the duties of a king unto his people. He was a king in appearance alone. Agatha, however, is Matriarch of Death with or without her crown. It's purely symbolic, and in Double King's case, absolutely hollow.
I loved the part where the death king decides to give his crown to the double king, this shows that even death is not interested in matters of material goods and other futile things and that all he wanted was A civilized dinner with the other kings.
The thing Death cared most about was teaching the Double King that the crowns didn’t matter. He knew that, but he also knew Double King didn’t. He hoped he could show him what life was like without obsessing over crowns. But when the Double King rejected existing that way and lashed out, Death declared the effort pointless and could care less what happens to Double King from there on out, as he was deemed beyond saving.
@@Timetraveler2411 i like to think of it as the double king found someone greedier and more powerful than him but the king of death found someone far more obnoxious and just gave him the crown to silence his tantrum
Love how that sort of automated castle that bring him on the mountain just puts his hands out to avoid being shooted, and on solemn notes it just retires backward 😂
It actually shows how greedy and brutal people in the past were. I was shocked of the kings mouth while it yelled around. So note that: We aren't perfect but kill the monsters hidden around us.
Is it just me or does the skeleton king seem like a chill dude. Edit: I swear if I get any more replies about how it's a she. I get it, alright I forgot to check the list at the end of the video.
The fact that this dude was so focused and determined on achieving more of the crowns that he literally chopped his own finger off thinking that it was a king itself, is just absolutely insane.
I like how every other crown is followed by the theme of prosperity lead by a good ruler while this king simply wants the title and air of royalty for the sake of it. As shown when he neglects those he stole the crown from's people.

I love that in the beginning Double King has arms and sleeves and stuff, and it eventually just becomes. Floating hands.
I also love how you can see little changes in Felix’s style as the video goes on, since this was made over two years. Like, if you started playing the end and then moved back to the beginning, you could see the difference
I can't believe I've never noticed that! Despite watching it hundreds of times.
I guess it shows that it was worth it because I definitely didn't miss the individual limbs.
Felix was too lazy to keep his body the same
Can I get any examples of how the style changed?

@@kekop0d And it doesn't matter if he has no crown. He's still king of the underworld.
In the credits she's listed as "Agatha, Matriarch of Death"
I think it was supposed to signify that there is no mark of power down here. Death rules all and they must recognize its power over them. Giving the giant crown was simply a way to show that even with such a large sign of power, the double king held nothing.
Pretty sure the point is that the crown means nothing. Even though the Double King held so many crowns in life, he did not fulfill the duties of a king unto his people. He was a king in appearance alone. Agatha, however, is Matriarch of Death with or without her crown. It's purely symbolic, and in Double King's case, absolutely hollow.
The undead king is literally the coolest character here
It's a Queen. You can see it in the credite "Agatha, the Matriach of Death"

I loved the part where the death king decides to give his crown to the double king, this shows that even death is not interested in matters of material goods and other futile things and that all he wanted was A civilized dinner with the other kings.
The only confusing thing is that when the double king makes a napkin crown death takes it.. meaning that he had some interest in it
The thing Death cared most about was teaching the Double King that the crowns didn’t matter.
