Kocia is visiting the East Eagle Tower.
The place went insane even before the Old Empire fell. Gravity's no longer how it's supposed to be. But the Imperial Automata, oblivious to the world outside the tower's walls, still keep their vigil.

they're better than that, some Higher budget cartoons out they doesn't have half the expression this simple animation have, and they are made by professionals
Having a wide variety of facial expressions is necessary to communicate what the characters are feeling when there's little to no dialog. It also has the benefit of letting people who might not speak english to be able to understand and enjoy the animation.
The face expressions of the robot is my everyday face expressions, but without disdain or feeling superior to anyone. Yet...

Spaghetti is the cheap and easy to create food for the masses. They get bought en masse for cafeterias and later served to children. But do you know what's inside Spaghetti? Calories. Lots of them. There is no other purpose in spaghetti but to serve calories to the already fat and lazy population on earth. No vitamins. No other nutrients. Just a bunch of calories.
And you know what I call the people that eat them? Lazy. They don't dare to learn how to cook or prepare any other dish but spaghetti. Salad? No, you'd need to cut the vegetables. Pizza? Who is gonna make the dough? Mama is not home at the moment.
You get the point. Spaghetti has become a lifestyle. If you want to express how unhealthy and lazy you are you eat spaghetti in an italian restaurant. The other people will see how you don't have the skills to prepare anything other than spaghetti. They will laugh about you. They will pity you. Ans so do I. It's like being a pig and just eating whatever is the easiest to produce.
Spaghetti are bad for your health, reputation, children (since they will adapt this horrible lifestyle) and everybody around you.
People should stop thinking they are high classed cooks just because they managed to make some decent spaghetti. Spaghetti is bad and there is nothing you can do to change my mind.

actual unironic comment here - gOD this is some of the cleanest, smoothest and most personality-rife animation out there on the site right now; and the fact that it has less than 200k views 3 months after release is honestly criminal. it's also criminal that your work is this unrecognised as of right now and that, despite this, you're still pouring thousands of hours into such a passion project.
i would wholeheartedly support you on patreon if i could but i'd have to wait another 2 years or something to get an independent account. till then, you're putting out really really good stuff and whenever episode 3 comes out i'll be very much eagerly awaiting it.

I honestly think the robot is genderless. They exhibit both male and female qualities (square shoulders and big butt respectively XD)

Nicely done! However, I would like to see Kocia's arrogance fall flat on her face at some point. I know it is a part of her character and all, but its still good to have the protagonist have a struggle or clear weakness. I feel more attached to the robot than Kocia due to the fact we see character development. I think we need some of that thrown the cat's way. Anyway, that's my two cents, Can't wait for the next!
Honestly I think the direction the story is going in is going to use Kocia as a "guide" for the story, rather than the main character we're supposed to be attached to. From what I can tell she's just being used to build the world and its' characters defined by her encounters with them. Although I did like how Kocia got hit in the head with one of the rocks in the first episode lmao.

Considering the design choices in the videos that sort of portray it like a game, I honestly see it as we are not seeing the start of her journey.
The story starts in the middle of the storyline. The "player character" / "Main" character, Kocia, has already sprung up from level 1 and is sort of in that intermediary range a lot of players are familiar with where you feel like an established professional and start to feel comfortable/pride in your style.
Though she could definitely use challenges, will be interesting to see what happens in Episode 3!

Who is the hero and who is the villain here? The robot seemed to only be doing it's job while Kocia is going around robbing gems.
Something to do with opposing factions. Based on what little we have so far, I don't think we can really call any of them villains or heros. Yet.

Protagonist isn’t necessarily good (hero) all the times (and the opposite goes to the antagonist)
They just both have objectives that collides witch each other
She is part of a group that hunts power gems, I don't know why, but they do. So she is good in her own right
If i'm not mistaken the designs for the old empire take inspiration from Prussia and most likely other sources. You don't see that often in fantasy settings. This series also being so beautifully animated, i'm excited for the next thing you put out.
Well, the creator IS Polish.
To think that that robot was alone this entire time, seeing all it's comrades die and then finally going outside to see what the worlds become is really sad. All this time it could've escaped and started a new life, but she didn't instead it remained loyal to what it was trying to protect. All it needed was a push to be free.

This robot needs to be a main character. I say she joins the cat because the cat showed her the outside world, and the cat has her gun. So they join together and travel around and they become a team because this show needs more of the robot. Other than that: THIS IS AWESOME! And a love the little details in the backgrounds too!
Robot should be a main recurring antagonist, out for revenge for its lost arm instead!

But i'm still for IT becoming a main character.

The animation is strong, the sound design is bloody brilliant, the characters are likable, and the world inspires a lot of curiosity. This is a series to be proud of Vanripper

Absolutely amazing animation!
So many fun details in here, the way the bullet holes glow a few seconds before cooling off, how the arm Hedvika used to super charge the blaster was the one that got destroyed. All around just enjoyable, love this series
Everything after 1:41 looks like the intro to an awesome computer game: You used to be the guardian of a powerful artefact, but now you are displaced and partially broken. An epic journey of discovery awaits. At its end you will have the chance to either take your revenge on the cat that caused your misery, or to embrace your new way of life.
Loved it! Beautiful animation, great characterization and stellar sound design. Writing-wise I particularly loved that part at the end: blown-up robot awed by nature. Can't wait for whatever you do next!

This is my favorite animation to this day.
Wish I'd seen this sooner. The animation quality, artwork and overall character design is stunning. The facial expressions are key in un-voiced animations, and you my friend, nailed it. Pure talent in its natural habitat.

Action wasn't quite as great this time, sadly. The kitty seemed to succeed less because she was capable and experienced, and more lucky that the enemy was a bad shot (for a robot) and didn't get any lucky hits when she was running rather than blocking.
Also that her sword was resistant enough to stand up to the big blast of the gun rather than breaking, or that it didn't fire some kind of plasma bolt that flowed around the sword. In general, her confidence seemed a lot less warranted and her success down to the roll of the die, where you might imagine that if she faced foes like this regularly, she'd end up dead 1 in 3 times.

But really, this seems to be developing into a really fun show, looking forward to next episode!

The movement is still really fluid and nice, and I just adore the general... feel? of the show! Sorry, it's hard to put into words.
Like your earlier videos it shows off the amazing special effects that you can pull off while working with 2d-animations that would be horrenduously expensive in a 3d-animation.
And sorry if it was demotivating, I really do enjoy all your videos!
Oh, well I'm sure the office of whiny nitpicking will accept my own whiny nitpicking: The sword is magic. It was magic because of the gem thing in the last episode. Pay attention to detail, friendo~
Kocia's sword does have an ability from beating the previous ep's enemy; it uses/converts "violent energy" and empowers her next strike. Plus the sword might not be a normal sword. Also the robot is old, heck the gun is considerd a relic of the old empire, would make sense that it couldn't hit her from afar since it being rusty.
This episode kinda continues to show how nonchalant kocia is with the danger of her occupation, so she takes the situation lightly. To her, it seemed to be more like a game or just plain fun.

The part about the sword's durability was not to question that it couldn't be that sturdy because magic, but that our dear swordkitty survived only because the gun's big boom wasn't even more magic, or a kind of magic that circumvented the sword's durability magic (like if it was a flamethrower).
Of course, you do get lucky sometimes, but if she's gone into combat against scary magical foes as regularly as the video suggests (or maybe she really is just pretty daredevil and has only gotten this far with a good helping of luck, but that's a bit depressing), then how many times has she survived only because she's lucky and not because she can back up her blase attitude with competence (aka, you should only be blase when you can be certain of victory)?
Oh wow, that guardian is like a mix between #16 and Peridot. It’s never been outside of its... ‘home(?)’ and it’s just seeing one part of the worlds beauty and life.
Considering there's no dialogue, the sound effects and animation work really sell this.
I love the little things, like the fancy horizontal rule in the location marker (the bespoke diamond pattern is really cool) at the start of the video, the tracking compass (nice sound effect AND animation design), or the anime-style sound effects.
the animation in this episode is so much better, not to say that the first one was bad, but this is amazing!

OMG I absolutely love the Robot character!!! I really want to see them become more accustomed to the outdoors and nature rather than just the one objective to guard, and be able to see how they adjusted overtime to nature. :0
Love the animation. It's mostly smooth and colorful and fun to look at. But the fights don't have any weight to them given how Kocia is never in any danger of losing. Still the whole surrounding and stages and background you draw and animate is quite beautiful.
