Epic Rap Battles of History proudly presents the George Watsky collection. Three rap battles and a song (written and recorded in one hour during a studio visit). George Watsky has been a great friend and collaborator over the years and if you haven't seen him live yet, trust us it is worth every effort.
New thing of some sort as often as we can here on ERB2, as we get ready for ERB Season 6 of the Epic Rap Battles of History.

Whenever Watsky's in the cast you know the Battle will be good.
He only appeared in three battles and I know this is true. Same goes for Rhett and Link.
I really want him to be Lovecraft in a battle between HP Lovecraft and HR Giger
@@TheEternalGoth Lovecraft looks a lot more like a Sherwin character...
You also know who's going to win. ;)
Yeah this dude murders it everytime.
New ERB idea: George Watsky vs. Zach Sherwin

Yes oml
Then have every recent guest rapper come it with a verse
Yes! That’d be awesome!😊

Are you God or so ? 🤔
Why HASN'T Em brought in Watsky?
"A fiction addiction" I never heard cocaine be called "fiction" before.
No you didn't! 😂😂😂😂
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH FUUUUUCK
opium sounds fancier than cocaine so it's pretty obvious who won
hearkening back to when joker jabbed Stephen King about making It while on coke. in the words of the Joker, “You’re a sewer troll that Stephen King wrote between his lines. It’s like cocaine, you know what I said. I don’t know what kind of joke could even go over that head”
"You're a sewer troll that Stephen King wrote between his lines!
It's like cocaine. You know what I said."
Lyrically speaking, Poe vs King has some of the most interesting and creative *wordplay* of any ERB,
In my opinion.
Haha... plays on words.
I assume that's an unintentional play on words?
Trey Atkins more like I couldn’t think of how to use the phrase “play on words” in plural form. Plays in words? Play on words’? Play on wordses? It’s all a mystery to me
One of the best battles and it has so many dirty disses
*Poe's poems pwn posers!*
@@boogaloojenkins2646 That's a thing in rap called Wordplay
Mad respect for Watsky rapping in iambic pentameter for Shakespeare
The amount of thought that he puts into writing his verses is honestly really quite impressive
And his Poe was in Trochaic pentameter as well
Trochaic octameter actually but the point still stands it’s impressive as hell
Watsky has been my favorite rapper since before anyone knew him
@@ambroseposey6487 Oh of course it was no need to tell us 🤦
The amount of thought that Watsky always put into his verses was crazy, simply incredible lyricist.
Luke Bukikosa yeah especially in his raps it takes me days of listening to figure out what everything means, he’s incredibly creative and a wordsmith hands down
Makes Marshall Mathers look like an ignoramus
Justice Brown
Not quite. Watsky is good, but Em spits quadruple entendres. You have to be knowledgeable to spot them.
Watsky writes the ERB verses himself??
@@murdermygymsox Whenever guests are featured on ERB they help with the creative process, my guess is because they're the ones rapping the lines so they know what rolls better on their tongues.
Literally is NO ONE bringing up the song about the zombie like holy shit it was really good, it was so bluesy and underrated they lyrics were amazing and the two guitars at the same time really complimented each other
Madison Martinez THIS
It sounded alot like a Jason Mraz song.
THAT HARMONICA THO
Yeah he DOMINATED that harmonica. Wow!
No one brought it up since it was never gonna be around again. 😏😁
This man is the human equivalent of turning the video to 1.5 speed.
lmao
Try watching it on 1.5 times speed it is insane.
deadass lol
Except he's not because he goes nowhere near that fast in these clips and many people can spit faster (including myself). Still impressive though with the long and intricate words he uses.

"Poe's Poems Pwn Posers" is a classic ERB line.
YAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSS

Top 10 tongue twisters
the whole battle was godlike. stephen kings final line is one of the best of all time
My favourite ERB line! And the entire battle is really good. Still think King wins it, but that one line from Poe is sooo cool.
It is so slick
Poe vs. King was one of my *favorites*
Easy *10/10*
Sequency same.
King calling Poe purvey is like the pot calling the kettle
Sequency bad thing is Poe inspired King to write.
Shakesphere v Dr Sues was my fav, his second verse is just fire.
Absolutely. Peak ERB
He wrote verses in iambic pentameter and trochaic octameter for the poets that popularized the styles.... the guy is an insanely talented lyricist I never even knew. Mad props
Please have Watsky in the new season
If he is touring that might be hard lol.
@@zombieXgirl94 assuming they've already filmed the first few battles, there may be a chance.
I hope he is in there somewhere. He's getting so damnably good.
Watsky said in a Q&A that he's not in it. He said he'd be interested if he could rep another poet
@@stupidsunited I don't know how in advance they record and put it all together, but hopefully it's not too late for him to make a surprise drop on us.... Or maybe he is and just said he wasn't so as to surprise us anyways. I sure hope so!!! every time he's shown up, he's left a mark on the channel.
If Epic Rap Battles 2 is so great then why isn’t there an Epic Rap Battles 2 2
If properly cleaning your metal computer is so great then why isn't- Damn, it's just great.

what if they do old authors (Edgar Allen Poe, Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, or some other peeps) vs new(er) authors (Rick Riordan, J.K. Rowling, Neil Shusterman, or some other peeps)
So THAT'S why 7:50 is one of my favorite lines of all time! It flows so perfectly. Love how he pulled it off and the contrasting syllables sound super cool!
Flows so smoothlyyy
It's really good

Jake Giuliano I think he lost all of his battles except from the doctor but he is a great rapper
@@Craig-rj4gx lollllllllllllllllllllllll ok
he only won as the doctor
@@Craig-rj4gx I second this. He only lost because the other characters had better writing.
He won as Shakespeare, too.
"Poes poems pwn posers" is probably my favorite line in all of ERB.
that or the one where hulk says “kylie jenner? hulk smash”
Yasss....but had to look that one up. Pwn - to utterly defeat a rival or opponent. Whew! Ok, fire line. 😥
I'm personally a big fan of "ye hoebag"
How'd you get beat by a dude named Longshanks? - George Washington
Poe vs Stephen King is probably one of the best battles of all time. Best writing, best portrayal, incredible
The guy that plays Stephen King is my favorite of the cast. He can spit and his personality seeps through with each act he does. You can tell he loves every second of it.
That's Zach Sherwin, an incredible lyricist. Look him up
Why am I just now hearing the zombie blues?
Also, have Watsky come back as Eminem for a battle.
Amen
Or Brendon Urie.
No. She should rap against Eminem.
@@Craig-rj4gx
Wait, who should rap against Eminem?
OMG YES PLEASE
I hope this means we're getting a Watsky ERB this season lol
Watsky did a Q&A a few days ago, says he's not in the new season, and he's waiting for the right literary-sort of character.

I think he writes his raps, so they just call him when they want him to come by.

Ching Shih (1775-1844), also known as Cheng I Sao, was a former pirate who once terrorized the China Seas in the early 19th century. She commanded over 300 ships manned by 20,000 to 40,000 pirates. She is widely considered to be the most successful pirate in history, based on the fact that she commanded the largest crew ever assembled, and that she died in her own bed as a free woman.
based on this i conclude that Ching Shih (aka probably the most underrated badass in all of history) is definitely worthy for an ERB. i suggest either Mary I, Isabelle I, Elizabeth Bathory or Mulan as her opponent.
Jhansi Ka Rani or Pholan Devi seems like an ideal match.
Jesus you wrote a damn essay.
@@RemingtonDean nah mate i just stole the first paragraph from Wikipedia lmao
Ching Shih is still a badass tho

thanks for all the comments, everyone. though i don't really like having Ching Shih battle another pirate; they didn't have Blackbeard battle another pirate. that's why i suggested a bunch of equally badass/terrifying women in history and fiction i could find for her opponent.

NicePeter as gangly, lean Cat and EpicLloyd as short, stout Things still feels right all these years later.
Real life Pete and Lloyd where so shocked by Shakespeare's fast flow, that couldn't leave it out of the E. R. B. 😂
Marie Curie vs Emmy Noether PUH-LEAZE. I want a lady scientist battle. Experimentalist vs theorist.
ERB needs more woman vs woman battles in general tbh. throw in Lise Meitner into the ring while we're at it.
And on that note, Battle of the Empresses: Wu Zetian vs Theodora. Dancers, courtesans, BADASSES.
@@anzahanifathallah I would love to see more woman vs. woman rap battles, but since their three regular rapping cast members are male, it has to be a double-guest episode. That's a little tougher. That said, I *really* want them to bring in Whitney Avalon as a guest rapper. :) She is awesome.
@@Rattiar Not necessarily. I recall that Nice Peter played Lady Gaga.
Vitória Sousa That was all part of the joke, though. At the time, there was this weird conspiracy theory that Lady Gaga was a man. So having Nice Peter play her in the battle was a nod to that. The lyrics also referenced that theory several times. Happily, that particular “rumor” about Lady Gaga seems to have died out. I cannot see that having Lloyd or Peter cross-dress is going to be a regular solution. See also: any African American characters are also played by guests.
Dora the Explorer vs Indiana Jones. PLEEEEEEAAAASSSSEEEEEE AND THANK YOU!!
