not to shit on your comment but rapping doesn’t have to just rhyme the end syllable. he does some internal rhyming to make it sound good like “set up shop, got a few drops, rose to the rock, now i got the socks” “got milk, socks made of silk”. internal rhyming is important to recognize otherwise you get idiots criticizing Lil Wayne for ending every line with the N word when in reality he’s still doing a fuck ton of rhyming.

@@fieryredpodcast it's a rap **battle** so he's obviously going to joke about how psycho is synonymous with Hitchcock, whereas Tarantino you can't really pin a particular movie as his "best", they are all uniquely Tarantino. So the lines make sense, however yeah he is a massive cinephile who probably has seen all of Hitchcocks stuff several times. I think he would appreciate the stylistic interpretation of "Tarantino" as a character though, none of them are supposed to represent the real person.

The best ERB, my ranking of the verses:
    5. Michael Bay - Fun and entertaining but nothing insane.
    4. Stephen Spielberg - May have the best beat and has some really good references, the other verses just set the bar so high.
    3. Quentin Tarantino - Best flow and the most fun for me, has some really good roasts and a lot of references, it is super creative too with the unclean script part.
    2. Alfred Hitchcock - Amazing flow and beat (great use of SFX), a lot of references and paints a good picture for Alfred. Great rhyme scheme with the mamma-jamma part.
    1. Stanley Kubrick - Represents Kubrick very well as a crazy genius, referencing a ton of movies and scenes. The 127 line is one of the best in all of ERB imo and the overall visuals are crazy.

notice in the very last line of tarantino’s verse, he raises his arms above the frame, and as he lowers them it cuts to black, much like someone closing the trunk of a car. this refers to how in every tarantino film there is a shot of the characters looking into the trunk of a car, with the camera’s position being inside the trunk. great job with all the tiny details from erb

I mean, there IS a rebuttal he could make, considering the movie chosen. If they wanted the Bay part of the swipe to be a little less rebuttable? War Horse. Aesthetically, that LOOKS like a movie Bay COULD make. War of the Worlds is too grey and bleak for that and he could have swiped back with that.

I do like how the rap battle subtly builds up to Michael's Bay entrance, with every director beforehand making an offhanded jab at him:
Spielberg: You rock as many Oscars as that Schlep Michael Bay.
Hitchcock: You're more horrible than Megan Fox's acting in Transformers (his most well-known movie series).
Tarantino: It looked like sellout shit Michael Bay would do.
Kubrick: A.I. is the worst waste of potential since the Ninja Turtles (another classic franchise Bay was known for butchering).
Bay: I've heard enough crap from all of you.
