Judge Darrow has proven herself to be intelligent, very wise, and compassionate for victims. I appreciate her love of justice and wanting people to understand the judicial system. She is awesome!!!
Yes Dorow is the best.
She is great. She handled Darryll Brooks I guess after that I think she can handle anything.
I respectfully disagree. She is ok. But she preaches too much and she brings her religious beliefs into the courtroom.
@@jamess.6767I don’t understand how she brings her religious beliefs into the courtroom. Can you please elaborate more on this?
She swiftly prepared a response to Jessy's despicable rant and ramble that was acutely on point. She had to be a formidable litigator. Wish Peter had shown how this responded directly to Jessy's claims.
Judge Dorow in my opinion, is everything a judge should be - extremely knowledgable, fair, considered and able to keep her cool... far more than I ever could!
agreed. the way she kept her cool with Brooks, deserves a pay rise!!
I came here to say this, but you already said it perfectly. ❤
😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Peter,_you would make an excellent professor or j. Maybe when you're 20:57 older.
Judge Dorrow is the epitome of grace. I don't know how she does it with these people but she is unreal.
I’m so happy you are covering these statements by Judge Darrow. I was blown away by this judge’s professional conduct and fair judgements in the courtroom. She is a fine example of our courts running well. I’m thankful for the televised cases which have given me a glimpse into the system which enforces our laws.
Judge Dorow is intelligent. She listened throughout the trial and saw straight through this defendant. I applaud Judge Dorow.
But I also get the sense that she hadn't made up her mind either until the close of evidence , which makes her an even better judge. She's able to give everyone a fair chance, even if a defendant is being a totally unhinged piece of trash. Many judges would've just kept Darrell Brooks in the naughty room with his box fort and not given him chance after chance after chance to change his behavior.
This sentencing is just awesome. I love this judge.
I am 80.5 years old, in my mind is still sharp. I am legally blind, so my activities are limited, but I can do pretty much whatever I want. For exercise, I either walk, or put on my playlist. Of contemporary Christian music and dance. After all, the Bible tells us to dance before the lord.
The only fly in this appointment, is that life in prison is much harder on the body, and the soul, then life on the outside. For diet, for medical care, lack of exercise, it can all add up to an early demise. I’m pretty sure that the majority of prisoners do not make it to 80. But, as you point out, there is always hope. The more I think about it, the more I believe that it is important or in prison people do you have that glimmer of hope. Without it, there is no point to their lives. So, I am joining with you in degree that this is a good and just sentence. It was given by a good and just judge.
Peter, I always learn something when I watch one of your videos. When I was a very young woman. The options for a career or a lot different than they are now. I think now, that I , Probably as a paralegal. I think I would have enjoyed it. legal system in some capacity probably
Wisconsin has to be very proud to have Judge Darrow.
We ARE!!!
@@jenw7344but still she lost the election to Supreme Court :(
*Dorrow ❤
@@GirlfromFinland yes you need to be corruptible
@@MaggieMay757 the shitshow and smear campaign against her was horrendous.
I love the way this judge brakes down this case, just like she did in the Darrel Brooks case. She makes the story make sense and comes alive
I admire the judge for an entirely different reason from you. That woman has the patience of a saint & the self control of a tightrope walker. How she dealt with DB & all his complete nonsense, was an inspiration & she’s someone MANY judges should aspire to emulate. If she wasn’t screaming all the way home in her car & into her pillow each night then she should be studied by science. 😂
I completely agree. DB was an extreme and I thought she showed extreme patience with him. It goes to show her character as she continued that patience with JK. I don’t know much about this particular case, but from what I’ve seen, this judge is amazing. It’s not just a one off, it seems like her pattern, and I really admire that.
I will never get over how crazy trial was and how well she handled it. Some doubted her throughout, but in the end, you could see that she was one step ahead of him at all times.
🙌💯 I agree, wholeheartedly. Judge Dorow is in my top 3 of favorite judges. I watch a LOT of LawTube, and have seen dozens of judges in action - including full trials under at least a dozen different judges. Judge Dorow is in a class apart from most 👍💐
@@Dollsanity i suspect she got his psych eval and learned how to handle someone like that, or she already knew. Narcissists are pretty predictable, when they have no control. There are patterns. They can be very toddler like.
@@Rae777 yes! Especially when you compare her with someone like the judge in the Delphi case. The justice system seems like a joke, there. It’s horrendous, and the worst part is, I’m afraid he’s innocent. The other is if she gets away with what she is doing to him, it could be done to anyone. Isn’t THAT a terrifying thought? If only every judge put their professional obligations ahead of their personal feelings. If only all of them cared this much for preservation of their right to a fair trial. I hope a lot of young people take note of how PROFESSIONAL she is, and hold her as an example for their future service.
Judge Darrow is extremely thoughtful to take all this time to explain her thought processes.

@@truthhurts2879*Dorow
I'm a native of Wisconsin and this judge was spot on with her words...she doesn't hold back she's up front and gives reasons why she feels the way she does and it has to be hard to make a decision on cases... Very good judge
Judge Dorow is the best! I agree with her statement. Jessie will never see the light of day anyway, because in order to parole out, she’d have to take accountability for everything she has done.
This was the third trial I've watched starring Judge Dorow. I so love and admire her! She does it right! 💯
What is the other trial she presided over?
I did get to see the Brooks trial as well as this one.
Probably a lot of others but the high profile ones that I know of are Brooks trial and this one.
@@Bamagirl-uf8xnyes would love to know the third one.
The possibility of getting out at 80 is basically a life sentence. If we expect, as many say they do, for prison to be a place of not just punishment but of rehabilitation, then sentencing her to this amount of time serves both purposes. She’ll likely never walk out of there but she will have that “hope” and maybe reflect on her horrible acts and possibly, at some point, admit and accept responsibility for what she did.
As a UK viewer, I have to say the American Judicial system is probably the most fascinating I’ve ever seen!
It does of course have flaws, but that’s the case for every justice system in the world!
But when it’s done right, it’s done really right! Just like this case here.
Bravo to the Judge! I knew I’d seen her before!
At least we dont wear weird wigs lol
Judge Dorrow is a rare breed. She's attentive, fair, balanced, and actually cares about justice and other humans. Most of our Judges nowadays are activists, so Judge Dorrow is a breath of fresh air.
One of my favorite judges ever! ❤ Judge Dorrow for the Supreme Court!
She already lost the election :(
Yesssss!!!!! She is what this country needs more of!!!
Totally agree!!❤
She ran for Wisconsin Supreme Court and lost.
She did that already but lost halfway through. She's very conservative as a human which probably didn't help. Her strength is in trials and I think she should stay there. She deals with defendants, their families, and victims with such composure, patience, and compassion. She's not one of those old farts. Putting her behind a desk writing briefs wouldn't highlight her talents, it's how she deals with humans face-to-face that makes her shine. I believe it takes a special kind of person to deal with crazy defendants with grace and compassion, many judges, even in higher courts, don't have that talent, so I think it'd be a waste to put her in any other court.
Jessy spoke for nearly two hours but she don’t look to happy that now she has no choice but listen to the judge Jessy looks pissed at the judge
I love this judge. She survived Darryl Brookes, she can do anything!❤
no joke
Great point!
Exactly. Geezz. Just thinking of him makes want to puke.
Judge Darrow has quickly become a judge that I have a deep respect for. Great Judge.
This judge is great. How she coped with Darrel brookes proves she's amazing at her job
That's when she finalized my decision on how she was so amazing
I wish we could get someone like her in the Supreme Court instead of the corrupt geriatrics we have.
YES! That is the ONLY TRIAL I had to stop watching as it made me so very angry! I can’t believe how good she did with THAT evil man!
Right!!!I know!!!
I love how the judge really did some serious soul searching for this conviction, which shows her unwavering respect for human life. How often will a judge spend so much time and energy on conviction for a person who is this awful. I really do appreciate her sentence. Though I don't believe she deserves parole ever, I admire this judge for taking the higher ground than I would.
Hi Peter, I'm in the UK but my brother lives in California, He's 71 years young and he loves playing Pickle Ball just like your Dad. I'm learning so much from you, thank you so much.
Judge Dorow is absolutely amazing. Personally, I feel she deserved LWOP but yet I do understand why she gave JK what she did. She has such an open mind and really does give a person the benefit of the doubt in most cases.
I think the judge was fair and took many things into consideration
Judge Dorrow is the best❤️
Judge Darrow is a remarkable mentor for ALL judges to emulate. Her passion, reason, and humanity in her sentencing is intelligent and wise.
All of our courts should have judges like her, and the transparency that she demands
Absolutely truth and grace. She’s an excellent speaker.
judge dorow is my favorite judge. I like that she really takes her time and explains her decision and also is able to clearly say how she feels
I have to say, this channel has challenged a lot of preconceived ideas I had about the law and lawyers and exposed to me biases I didn't know I had. Watching trials and listening to Peter's perspective has opened my mind and it is really cool to see these things from another pov.
I feel this sentence is appropriate. I really liked hearing the judge break that down with compassion and intelligence.
Hands down one of the best videos I’ve seen as far as learning! Judge Dorrow is hands down the classiest judge on the internet!
As usual, I am so impressed by your understanding of grace abd Redemption. As you know, I am 80.5 years old, and I still need to be reminded of these basic tenants of our face. Thank you.
Yes I love this judge also. Very good putting defendant in her place!!!
This judge is one of the best. She is one who I hope guides other judges to emulate her now and in the future. ❤
Judge Dorow has the unique perspective with her experience as both a prosecuting AND defense attorney, which leads to her incredible balance and fairness when it comes to sitting as a judge.
So happy the judge called out the defendants mother. Definitely agree that she was complicit/co conspirator
This is why I wish she were the sentencing judge for the Crumbleys!
The first time i went to a sentencing I paid for 30 minutes of parking. Never did I expect for a sentence to take hours to deliver. I thought it was literally “you are sentenced to - blank.
I think this judge has very sound reasoning and has literally thought of every angle. You are right that it is just an opportunity to be released and if the parole board does their job 🤞🏼- if there is still deviant behaviour she stays behind bars. I think it is important to give a person hope and a chance to redeem themselves no matter how small the chance as long as you have appropriate safeguards in place. You never really know what small kindness or mercy may be able to change their thinking and behaviour.
I am sad she has resigned from
the bench when I have just discovered her. I hope there is somewhere we can still follow her work. We need more judges like her that use their intellect and knowledge but balance with mercy and compassion. Bravo!
I liked this judge and how she explained things. When you take away hope, there’s no reason for anyone to change. This gives her a long time to think about things and hopefully change her ways IF she ever gets out
Judge Dorrow did a great job explaining things and still being just human.. And showing she had difficulty deciding what to do.. Again, human. Great job explaining how she came to her decision. This is a great judge. Fair and just. I think her reference to law & order was great as you a lot of criminals seem to google or search online for how they can actually get away with things. Even though the show is fiction, the method seems to be realistic so it matters.
Judge Dorow is truly impressive.
Love this sentencing, the judge has wisdom and common sense While respecting the law.. she is an exemplary judge! Thanks for sharing and pointing this out 💯
Don’t you just love judge Darrow
YES!
Judge Dorrow is just an outstanding judge!
This judge is brilliant! She not only showed justice, but unbelievable wisdom and also mercy. I am so impressed with the way she set guidelines if she ever gets out. True justice here!
Always looking forward to hearing from Peter on cases! ❤
I admire judge Dorrow so much. She offers mercy and a chance at redemption to someone (in my opinion) who doesn’t deserve it. The defendant has an opportunity to receive parole, but only if she is able to prove that she has changed. I don’t think that she will, but judge Dorrow giving her the opportunity that will be decided purely based on the defendant’s own actions truly speaks to this judge’s character.
It’s so strange seeing the difference in judges, from Gull to Dorrow. We have seen many judges from all of the cases that have been covered, a lot of great ones, but I truly hold a special place in my heart for judge Dorrow. Thank you for your coverage, Peter!
The judge’s immersion in the case is hugely impressive!
I love how Judge D explains herself and her explaining things.
The sentencing was a masterclass in how a sentencing should be handled at a time when technology enters the court room. The sensitivity and awareness of this judge is astounding and her sentencing was spot on.
I feel bad for her future victims, such as the lady she "befriended " in jail. Her M.O. is spinning sad tales so people give her money. She will continue while in prison. She knows no different behavior. She will continue to victimize others to get what she wants. She just cannot look within herself.
I completely agree I think she’s so dangerous
Yeah that’s what I thought when they said the inmate was 70!
I agree. Although I love this judge , I feel this sentence is too lenient. Victims of homicide and their loved ones don't get hope for change and a second chance.
I'm a WI resident & followed the Brooks trial as I recovered from surgery. Judge Dorrow is fair, intelligent & kind. I agree that 40 years is enough. Jessy can either con fellow inmates & see what that gets her or get hit in the head by an angel & "see the light."
Judge Dorow is awesome! Best judge bar none.
Hitting the like button before it starts 😂
Same here!
I have so much respect for Judge Dorrow . She is intelligent, compassionate, and fair.
I appreciate that this was a throughly contemplated sentence. Well done by the Judge.
Looking forward to listening to the original video at normal speed to really hear and absorb all the educational impact of this lesson in sentencing. Kudos to this amazing judge! Thanks, Peter! This is packed with so much. 👏👏👏👏👏
Judge Dorow is a Excellent Judge.👌❗
If she took accountability and was remorseful I think she would have gotten a lighter sentence.
What makes this more fascinating is having you point out the ins and outs of the legal system and how it affects both sides of what we're watching.
Judge’s remarks were spot
on. Any Appeals Court will
and should back her. ⚖️👍
The Apple Valley river trail is very interesting. Very professional and well conducted court room. Perfect example how trials should be presented.
We love Judge Dorrow! I wish all judges could be like her
Thanks Peter for covering this.
I love judge Dorow! She showed all the intelligence, compassion, understanding, grace have respect that Jessy lacks! The escrow account is perfect Jessy can't keep her mouth shut and goes through more ink and paper than Sarah Boone. Obviously there'll be plenty of appeal attempts but that gives more for her to yap about. Dorow could've mic dropped and swaggered out if there and nobody would have batted an eye 🙊 she earned it! Especially after listening to Jessy trash her victim for TWO HOURS. Tfs and have a great day
I love this judge. She was so professional in the Darryl Brooks trial. I didn’t realize she had been a prosecutor and defense attorney before.
I didn't know that! That makes so much sense considering how she composes herself and handles her cases.
I have a full time caregiver and we follow law tubers and trials together. My caregiver had a hard time with this one because it made her so mad someone would violate someone they said was their friend and client like this. I have had SI and my caregiver does everything to keep me safe not putting me in more harms way. This trial made both of us sick.
I have an enormous amount of respect for Judge Darrow. She has done an amazing job with maintaining balance, but also being passionate about justice and holding people accountable. I think that having court proceeding available online is a huge benefit to our society.
This is why i love Judge Darrow. She is brilliant. I agree with her sentence and your take on it. I really admire your optimism Peter.
I have definitely learned a lot from this judge. I really like and respect her a tremendous amount. She seems intelligent, confident, kind, thoughtful & fair.
This judge is amazing …extremely thoughtful to the whole picture!
I love this judge she's Fair and she's just
Good Morning, everybody!
Judge Dorow for the win always!!! She is such a wonderful judge and person.
Wow, I learned so much from this case especially Judge Darrow. I love how direct she was to tell defendant that she was guilty of poisoning Lynn. Amazing!
I love Judge Darrow. I watched the whole thing when it first came out. But loved watching it again with your commentary. I thought it was such a thoughtful sentence. It would never have occurred to me to give her the opportunity to come out when she is 80. I also loved Judge Darrows analysis of the case. It was such a great summation
I thoroughly enjoyed watching this with you all. Judge Darrow was wonderful to listen to. Her knowledge of the judicial system and her composure was second to none. Thank you for guiding us through the sentencing Peter. Greetings to all from Lake Macquarie, Australia.
I REALLY REALLY like and admire this judge. She puts up with alot, yet is very fair and does explain things clearly etc.....
Think she should be put on that list of best judges
This judge is absolutely Amazing….love her so much.
The sensationalism comes from the media from what I can see.
I had to leave in the middle and finish watching the sentencing part. Can't say enough about Judge Dorow. We need more humans like her.
Judge Dorow encourages people to grow, evolve & become better individuals...love it 🩷
I think Judge Dorow is vey thoughtful and intelligent in her duties. This seems like a fair sentence to me, it’s basically life at 80 years.
Being able to participate in the live feeds of trials and channels like yours helps immensely educate the public on the entire timeline and process from the comission of the crime to sentencing. I think citizens should be more educated on how the entire justice system works. Thanks for all you do both here and for your clients!
Hi Peter. Thanks for covering this sentence hearing and giving us your take on it. I believe this sentence is extremely fair. Judge Dorrow gave the defendant every possible opportunity to rehabilitate herself for release in her 70s. If she chooses not to rehabilitate herself, then she will die in prison. The onus is on her. Judge Dorrow speaks well and has weighed everything fairly when considering the sentence. As someone else said in the comments, I agree that she has the qualities every Judge should have.
The way, Judge Darrow breaks down this case, and every case of hers, for the defendant, is simply incredible for lack of a better word. She is fair. She is insightful, thorough, and anybody who sits before her should feel honored to be in her court room especially the defendant
Judge J Dorow did an excellent job. I have a great amount of respect for her. I love that you are no nonsense and get right down to the meat and potatoes of our justice system. thank you LYK.
I wish more judges had the heart of Judge Darrow… ❤
Judge Darrow’s sentencing statements nailed it! My favorite judge ever….
This is by far the most interesting and educational sentencing i've ever seen or heard. The judge demonstrates the thinking she's done and the values she holds.
I just LOVE Judge DOROW!!! I WISH SHED RUN FOR PRESIDENT!
Judge Dorrow is great. I love how she explains her thinking and tells the defendant just how horrible they are.
I have so much admiration and respect for Judge Darrow...she is so wise, so patient, and completely unbiased. She's so passionate about the law, it's so evident she cares about human beings and their rights, but most of all, this judge believes in justice for the victims! I love her so much, shes an inspiration to us all...xx hydie ❤
That look on the defendant's face looking at the Judge is scary.
Please God protect the Judge ❣️🙏🇺🇲
I absolutely admire the Judge! She is so accurate and no nonsense in her statements to the Court! ❣️🙏🇺🇲
I like how Judge Darrow did this! I miss her so much. I could watch her forever! 🥰💜💕💞💝💖
I agree with this wonderful judge! We so often operate on our sense of injustice and anger, and not believing personally in the death penalty, I prefer to hope and pray that they can learn, and still have protection from them if they do not! Also, comparing when and why we sentence people for crimes! They are not all the same!❤️
I watched the Darrell Brooks trial and watched this trial gavel to gavel with G and the Grizzlies. I watched Judge Dorrow's interview after the Brooks trial. I'm a victims advocate. We absolutely need more judges like this. I was literally going to say basically the SAME thing you did! I'm not only a victims advocate. My 18 yr old son has multiple disabilities and, I was just in court and the judge we had reminded of Dorrow! I am now my sons legal guardian. I can continue to advocate for him and keep him safe and help him to thrive. When you see ppl like Murdaugh and Jessey, it is incredibly scary to me. The predatory behavior, stealing and abusing from the most vulnerable people. I'm also in another unique position as well. I am a SA and DM survivor. I'm an advocate for victims rights in the court system and how it should be handled. It's up to us, the people in our society, to stand up for victims' rights, fair and impartial jurors, the assumption of innocent until proven guilty. We need advocates to help victims understand the process, their rights, and that they have a voice. It's there story to tell, however they choose to do it.
Judge Dorrow is the biggest example of what the justice system should look like. She is to be commended for the way she handles her trials, with patience and grace partnered with impartiality in the way she conducts her court room. She is my hero! ❤ We need to commend judge's like her, and let our voices be heard. We need more judge's like her. We as a society need to take a hard look at the way we're handling live streaming. It is not a show, it is not for entertainment. When ppl abuse it, they are hurting everyone, and it makes it so much harder for live streaming and cameras in the court room. Thankyou Peter for way you covered this and using your platform for education, truth and justice. You are the lawyer I know .😉
Keep up the good work and may God Bless you 🙏
Thanks! ‐ Sarah Muntz ❤j
I don’t know much about what goes on in a courtroom but I love this judge! I’m taken aback by how much she is explaining to the defendant and making sure she is making herself very clear.
Excellent Judge. Teaching us all how to do this. It’s brilliant to see and hear the Judge explain the sentence. 🎉
Good morning from Atlanta 😊
Me too! You watching the eclipse today?
