    Milorganite has gotten a little ridiculous with prices. Then they blame the stores who set their own prices. I’ve cut down on their stuff since it’s basically doubled in price.

      Milorganite is straight up price gouging right now. Even though I could still afford to buy their ridiculously overpriced fertilizer, I'm not going to anymore. It's a huge shame because though it's a good product, it's not worth the almost $20 per bag at only 2,500 square feet of coverage. No thanks.

      @@My-St.Bermudastine-lawn you won't stop every weed on the first go round, just too hard not to. I am on my 2nd year and still don't get every single one for really trouble weeds. I just pull the huge established ones by hand and spray after. It's made a massive difference on my lawn I barely have a single weed left

    For cold weather grass I don't get people fertilizing in early spring. I'm in the Chicago burbs and come the end of March/early April the grass is CRAZY green and starts growing like mad so I don't get the need for fertilizer aside from people thinking it's what their "supposed" to do. Once the initial blast of growth slows down towards the end of May, I can see putting something down but not early April unless you're doing a starter fert for an overseeding area or you have a newer lawn.

    Located in southern Louisiana around New Orleans! Bought my home in late 2019. 3000 sq ft st Augustine grass. Started following you about 2 years ago. I’ve following your lawn program for the last 2 years. I’m on what I called a spoon feed program. I enjoy throwing a little something down every week. I winterized my lawn for the first time this year with the 7-0-20 stress. My lawn transitioned into spring so nice and quick. All the brown is completely gone and I have the greenest nicest yard in my neighborhood. My neighbors can’t believe it. Looks like it would with an app of green effect during the summer! I do 3oz of each of the bio stimulant pack with 3oz of spoon juice in each application. I do A-8 weeks 1/ humic 12 week 2/ RGS week 3/ micro green week 4 of each month! My yard has never looked so good! I do green effect may and June and green punch July or august! I also throw in 9 oz per 1000 once day temps get 80 and above of liquid dethatch!

    I don't throw down Milo early in the year anymore. It takes heat to release its nitrogen. I've had better luck with Starter Fert early and late in the year for my cool season lawn. When it breaks 70, the Milo and fake Milo go in the spreader.

    • @adambarlow81
      @adambarlow81 2 роки тому

      Your halfway right, it all has to do with soil temps. Milo needs microbes in the soil to break it down so your lawn can use the nutrients, but the microbes do not become super active until soil temps reach 60 degrees and then slow down when temps are close to 85 degrees. It's all about soil temps, not air temps and yes I am all about not putting down nitrogen too early, watch your last frost dates, otherwise your only stressing your lawn, wasting fert and $$$. This guy saying push nitrogen as early as possible for cool season lawns is not the right way to go. Support root growth first, then bring on the nitrogen and your cool season lawn will be way more thick, green, need less water and less stressed when the mid summer high temps hit. Supporting a stronger root system is way more important than having a green lawn in mid march when you getting hit with late frost and even possible snow storms...

    Allyn I read the centipede guide, and have a question, in the guide you recommend a combo of flagship, sulfate of potash, and stress blend along with spoon juice. I just purchased the bio stem pack along with flagship and stress blend. I noticed in this video you recommend the liquid program. My question is would there be a huge difference between the hybrid and liquid programs for centipede?

    • @LawnsAcrossAmerica

      You can go either way and do just fine. I've been spraying alot of liquid lately so that is what came to mind for this video is all. If you have Flagship and Stress for your centipede they will do great.

There are lots of good insulating thermos that will keep it colder, and separate from the plastics issue I also think bottled water is a scam in general. Unless of course there is a problem with local water that even a filter can’t handle. Anyway thanks for replying.
