- Today I'm showing you how I fire up some spicy Cajun Shrimp (Prawns) on the Weber Q. Give this recipe a try. You'll love it!
Ingredients:
1-2 lbs of medium-large shrimp (prawns) with heads removed
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon of chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (or more if you like it very spicy)
Sea salt or Kosher salt to taste
Fresh ground black pepper
1 Tablespoon of olive oil
1 Lime (optional)
Directions:
Using kitchen scissors, cut up the length of the back of each shrimp.
Remove shell, but leave tail portion.
Clean out vein from back of shrimp.
Rinse under cold water.
Combine spices to make cajun rub.
Thread shrimp onto bamboo skewers.
Rub with olive oil.
Season with cajun rub.
Preheat Weber Q for 10-12 minutes.
Place shrimp skewers on Weber Q and close lid.
Grill for 4 minutes total, two minutes per side.
Do not overcook.
Remove from grill.
Optional:
Squeeze the juice of 1/2 of a lime over shrimp.
Serve:
Eat shrimp straight off the skewers or mix into a salad.
Enjoy!

Simple and delicious. Thanks for watching, Damian!
Dude your my hero. Great recipes!!! So simple and that’s what’s so great. Thanks for the great tips!!!
Thanks Randy. I make videos of the stuff I like to grill. Glad you like these recipes too.
That flavor (technical term) looks insane! Great job.
Thank you, sir!
Best channel ever dude. That weber q holding up real good. I need me one of those.
Thank you, A Perez. The Q seems fine, I don't cover it or anything. It's just out there in the elements 24-7. And the gas in the 20-lb tank lasts forever.
I think it's really cool how many different cooks you do on that grill! Cheer's from California!
Not bad for a small, gas grill. Thanks for watching, Jeff!
I'll definitely be making these, awesome recipe !!
Let me know how they come out! Thanks for watching, Stuart.
Nice recipe, I need to try them out. Thanks for sharing
Definitely give them a try. Thanks for watching, Calle.
very informative - will try this on the next time grill
Made this tonigjt and it turned out great!
Check my video from today. You inspired me to redo this one with a few twists. Cheers!
Great recipe! Love the scissors technique for large Ruby Reds, de veining was simple
Deveining is always a bit of a chore, but the scissors help. Cheers... and thanks for your service.
Awesome! Enough said.
Yessir, MrPanfish. Thank you.
GREAT JOB as always. Thanks for sharing................
Thank you, good sir.
real nice!!!
Awesome, keep em coming!
Thank you, Brownsfan! More vids on the way.

You bet! I'm due for another shrimp vid so be sure to check back. Cheers David!
Finally a decent Weber Q channel.. found you today and have my first rack of ribs on Weber Q now complete with homemade rub and Hickory smoking parcel...
Thank you, sir! Hope your ribs came out great. More vids on the way.
Just found your channel and am enjoying it very much, I just got the Q1200
Thanks Mike. Enjoy your new Q. New vid coming tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Awesome recipe, and love the channel!
Just tried this on our medium sized Q and it came out great. For some reason I thought it was 2 x paprika to everything else. Used smoked paprika, and chili powder labeled as hot. Even without cayenne, it was quite hot for our palette, but delicious!
The only prawns we could find were quite small, which dragged the prep out a bit, but will definitely do again with some nice big Sydney tiger prawns!
Cheers
I like mine spicy. Tiger prawns would work great! Thanks for watching in Australia.
yum
Give them a try, benhizzle. You'll love them.
Awesome channel man! 💪🏽👍🏽👊🏽🥩👍🏽
Appreciate it!! Thanks for watching man.
The scissors idea is great. In the UK these are (butterfly) King Prawn. Shrimp are different in the UK (tiny). Shrimp > Prawn > King Prawn > Tiger or Jumbo King Prawn (very large King Prawn). They look great btw. My favourite.
Thanks 10 minute meals. These "King Prawns" were great indeed.
Nice grill shrimp l love it
So good. Thanks for watching.
Very nice!
Thank you, JosephandElissa.
Shrimp TIP #1 after rinsing dry well with paper towel TIP 2 after placing on the skewers lay across the top of a casserole dish in the fridge for 1-5 hours and let them air dry
Thanks for the tips man. Appreciate that. Cheers!
How many gallons of water do you need to prep a bag of shrimp?
Good stuff keep up the vids.
Will do! Thank you, Chris.
very nice
Thank you, Ritesh!
soaking the skewers prevents them from becoming charcoal twigs in the process.
Excellent content ... Thank you ... Balcony Man
You're very welcome, Marc. Thanks for watching.
I had to not watch this before sleep night
And sweet dreams of spicy shrimp danced in their heads...
I'm a new subscriber and a shrimp lover! I'll let you know how mine turned out tonight!
Nice! Shrimp on the grill is pretty tough to beat. Especially with some cajun seasoning. Thanks for the sub.
I forgot to report back! Success for sure. Loved the spice, not too hot. Even the wife gave you a thumbs up!👍
🤤🤤🤤
Thanks Nolygirl. These shrimp are amazing. Cheers!
I grill skewered shrimp a lot. I used to do it exactly like this. Over the years I found one improvement - don't stick the shrimp head and tail. Instead, stick them once through the mid section and stack them on the skewer so they're all sandwiched together. The presentation is not as pretty, but the shrimp will be more juicy and tender with a perfect chew. I also get my grill set to 500-550F. Learned this from a well schooled chef in Texas.
Thanks for the tip! Cheers!
Great video! Did you cook the shrimps first before applying the rub and grilling it?
No, the shrimp was not cooked before grilling it. Thanks for watching Jing.
Is that a Seiko skx009 on your wrist?
SKX009 of course! After a brief (expensive) excursion into watch addiction, I've decided all I really need is a reliable everyday beater. Cocktail Time is on the horizon for my dress piece. Of course, an old-school GMT Master 2 with a Pepsi dial would be nice. But...

Ruuuuuubbbba
Close the water
I used to be a shrimp…
But now I'm a prawn.
Lively why not produce a cookbook
I'd love to. Maybe some day. Cheers Susan!
It's not a vein! it the poop tube. :-)
Wait ,,,u have the same intro song as DemoRanch.. hmmmph.
I've never heard of DemoRanch, but this video is from Jan 2018 and the song is from the free UA-cam library.
It's actually not a vein, it's the intestine...
thats the poo line not a vein lmao
This is a Gas grill. Mabe a Webber but not charcoal
🤦
Thanks for watching.
Kay JUN. Cajun. I liked the video but there is no sh in that word
